I booked a day pass at a nearby hotel pool using resortpass.com.

I'm cruising over Thanksgiving as well, but on the Joy in Caribbean. I don't eat meat so don't really care if there is turkey or not, but I do like a reason to celebrate! Maybe they will pull out some hidden Veuve for us 😂

I've been reading reviews on tripadvisor and following their instagram. I'm going in November so I can report back after that!

I have the same situation (9pm flight after weeklong cruise) except it's in November and I'll have kids with me. Dropping bags at airport and renting a car seems like a hassle. I very much like the resortpass option! I just hope I can find something on a holiday weekend (after Thanksgiving). Does anyone have any specific hotels they would recommend?

Oh wow, thanks. I was way off! Weird that the app says I can book on 7/21 (120 days out).

I am in a Family Suite (the kind that only exists on the Joy) and today is 130 days from my cruise. I went into the app and I was able to make dining reservations. However, for the shows it says I have to wait until 120 out. I thought the dates were the same - am I incorrect?

I specifically chose a cruise on the Joy just to get one of the inside family suites. We're traveling with 2 kids and my mom, so it is perfect for is. The price is a lot cheaper than 2 separate rooms.

Same. I'm really hoping they've sorted this out before my sailing this fall.

I don't really want to carry 7+ bottles of wine on a flight though. As long as there are no more changes, I can be happy with a bottle of Pommery to start and then a bottle of a decent red.

I have the family suite booked this fall and was also wondering if the priority embarking (and 2 free room services) is still a perk. It sounds like the people who ask for it get it but they don't make it easy or obvious...

I'm mostly keeping my FAS+ so that I can get anything by the bottle, rather than the glass. That's my understanding anyway, that the only way to get full bottles (at meal time only, and not to be taken from the dining room!) is to have the FAS+.

So kids/teens that are under 130 lbs can only do the Aqua Racer? That's a bummer for my thrill seeker kid! Do they both require suits with no metal, or is that just for Ocean Loops?

So does that mean you are not able to get a bottle of Pommery with your dinner? My main reason for the FAS+ is to have bottles with meals, and I want to start with bubbles and then have wine (ideally that would be Veuve and then a nice Brunello, but Pommery and a decent red will do). I've been reading your site for awhile, after I went down a rabbit hole learning about Little French Key Resort. Very curious to see if you decided to go back there and why or why not!

I noticed a reduction in fare a couple of weeks ago and called NCL. They immediately adjusted the fare and sent me a new itinerary with the correct price. It took less than 5 minutes.

As the parent of 2 elementary school-aged children, this made me LOL. I really hope NCL improves these issues that are continuously brought up. I'm sailing on the Joy in November (with aforementioned kids) in a non-Haven room so I will have to tough it out with the rest of the riff-raff. And that's fine, as long as I can have a drink in my hand at all times!

Yep, this is basically what I am planning to do. And have a white board on our door to leave notes for each other. If my kids had walkie talkies, they would definitely lose them anyway 😂

For those of you recommending NOT to use walkies, do you have suggestions how I can stay in contact with my almost 12 year old twins on the ship? They (thankfully) do NOT have cell phones yet, but they are old enough to have the freedom to roam, to some degree. I still want to be able to comunicate with them though.

I have a 7 day cruise booked for this fall. I have only paid the deposit ($600) and extra for the FAS+ ($900 - there are 3 adults in my party). The price of the cruise had dropped significantly, and I checked today and saw that if I book through my credit card company, I can get the total cost of the cruise for $1K less than what I still owe NCL. I believe since I am more than 120 days out, I will only lose 25% of what I have paid according to this cancellation policy: https://www.ncl.com/about/cancellation-fee-schedule If so, then this seems like a no-brainer. Is there anything I am missing here? If I call NCL, any chance they will honor the lower price?
