  1. P&O confirmed the onboard spend was added to my booking days ago. Stockperks app still showing as “in progress” and no new booking invoice/email was received so I’d not have known. Maybe it was emailed to the travel agent I booked with instead. Few free pints onboard now, cheers. 😀
  2. Well that fills me with optimism. 😂 Hopefully I’m not stuck “in progress” for much longer…
  3. Stockperks have just replied. “Hi - there's been a processing delay in the P&O system - you should hear back this week. Thanks for your patience”
  4. Submitted my onboard spend request through StockPerks 2 weeks ago and it’s still showing as pending. Have emailed them last week but no response. Just about to hit the 3 week sailing deadline so I might be out of luck. Preferred the old email method as if you had emailed 3 weeks before sailing they still seemed to honour it even if they action it a week before you sail. Hopefully the same with the app but so far nothing.
  5. Can anyone advise how the onboard credit is allocated, as I’m aware it’s one per room. I’m travelling with a friend under the same booking in my room but we each have our own cruise cards linked to our own credit cards. Will the onboard spend from shares be split across both our cards or apply just to mine as the stock holder? Thanks
  6. Stockperks have just approved my Robinhood account activity statement, have just applied for the P&O onboard spend for my next cruise. That’s a relief. 😁
  7. UK I don’t think I should give up my day job for any of this investing. 😂 I purchased CCL Carnival Corp 100 shares for around $15 each, Robinhood just converts GBP to USD. The price with HL who I used before but was trying to avoid the fees is indeed in GBP and lower than what I paid. Maybe I’ll just sell on Robinhood and go back to HL. I’ve done this before through them, never with RH though…. Wouldn’t surprise me if I’ve bought 100 shares in a fishing company off the coast of Argentina by mistake…. 😂
  8. Thanks - it does say automatic linking is for the US, but I assumed as Robinhood is American and my stocks are in USD it would work. Anyway, Robinhood have issued me an account activity statement with my name etc on showing I purchased 100 shares, I’ve submitted that for manual processing with Stockperks - will update if that works in case anyone else has the same issue with RH in the future.
  9. Has anyone been able to link their Robinhood account in Stockperks? I’m getting a constant “couldn’t connect to your institution” after logging in and providing my 2FA for Robinhood. I only purchased the stocks yesterday, and my cruise is next month so I don’t have time to wait for Robinhood to provide a statement (once a month, end of May is next one). oops…
  10. Have you ever been on the Big Dipper in Blackpool? If so you’ll be fine. /s
  11. If you login to your HL account (HL.co.uk), then click on the account the shares are held in (I.e. mine says Stocks and Shares ISA), then at the bottom it says PDF version - this is the document you email to Carnival. It has your name, account number, stocks and value on. P&O advise you block out your account number but I’ve never bothered.
  12. Everyone is onboard and the staff did a great job getting all the bars and restaurants open again. Goodnight 🙂
  13. Captain just confirmed it was a false report. Everyone accounted for and speed boats returning to Ventura. Off to Vigo we go.
  14. It’s celebration night onboard but we’re all restricted to our cabins for now. Hopefully it’s a false call. Helicopter has just arrived.
  15. Anyone else on Ventura? The ship has turned around and speed boats dropped to find someone suspected of jumping overboard. Search and rescue helicopter on the way. We’ve all been asked to return to our cabins for roll call.
  16. I emailed on a Wednesday morning, chased a response on Friday, they replied on the Monday confirming OBC applied.
  17. Can anyone recommend a good beach to visit in Santander? Preferably one with facilities to get a beer and some lunch. I remember visiting a while back and visited a beach quite far away from the dock, lots of restaurants and bars and could rent comfy sun beds but can’t remember the name of it.
  18. Purchased 100 shares of carnival group Emailed proof to carnival Received £60 OBC for my 10 day cruise Purchase 12 pints with said OBC
  19. Good choice going on a P&O cruise (much better than expensive Malta holidays). On the third point, I have found most will dress up on formal night. I have taken cruises where I didn’t and I just stayed in the sports bar and buffet, had zero issues.
  20. You’re back? I think this is your third goodbye post. Looking at some of these comments plus some feedback from family members who have been - it doesn’t seem my cup of tea, especially with your expensive mysterious hotel that can’t compete with a P&O cruise like for like. Malta sound repetitive. 🙂
  21. I was drinking Birra Moretti on Ventura last month and with the peninsular discount I think it was around £4.85 a pint I was paying. Assuming it’ll be £5-£5.10 now. Still cheaper than my local pub but I hope they don’t increase prices again. 😁
  22. Just received an email confirming £60 OBC applied for my next cruise in just over two weeks. 12 free pints, cheers!
  23. I’ve quoted prices and backed them up with links and dates. You’ve quoted prices with absolutely nothing to support them. Much prefer a lovely well priced cruise ship stopping at multiple ports, great entertainment, food and fun, with no airports and flying to deal with, than an overpriced stay at repetitive Maltas Mysterious Hotel.
  24. It’s such a shame you’ve got such a hate for a company that you’ll throw out all these prices for random holidays supposedly with the same daily entertainment without providing dates locations hotel name etc (unlike myself). Enjoy your expensive repetitive mysterious holiday in Malta. For those looking for some great deals, stopping at various locations for you to explore, great entertainment with comedians and singers (and the odd celebrity), great food and lots to do, I highly recommend a P&O cruise. 🙂
