  1. Good to know! I prefer to wash myself but I guess could fall back on the send away laundry if needed. thanks again for your help!
  2. I know you can send laundry away as part of the suite benefits. I have heard you can also get the tokens for free if you want to do your own laundry. However, do they also provide detergent and/or fabric softener in that scenario?
  3. The package isn't just alcohol. Who are you to judge the person in recovery, the Mormon, diabetic who finds value in the package beyond alcohol? Who are you to say all people in the package need 10 drinks a day? The package is about convenience not alcoholism.
  4. Yes! Even though I had already committed to a package I am irrationally angry they would charge $5 to get the MDR menu delivered if you were on standard fare.
  5. I am surprised too I haven't seen any first hand accounts yet. I will be in a suite in a week but I have a package. Perhaps the population of suite passengers without a package is just not that big? I'll keep my ears open and see if any of the other suite passengers experience this first hand.
  6. Thanks! I am looking forward to the MDR reserve section.
  7. Is there a special lunch on embarkation day for suites?
  8. I was just trying to find something like this. This is so helpful! Thank you so much for summarizing it all in one place!
  9. I was able to make my reservations on the app and was not charged. It showed I had a dining credit to use in the dining tab and then was $0 due when reserving. The app is super buggy though. It took weeks of me going into the app to get the reservations I wanted.
  10. Does anyone know how Crab Shack fits in with this new dining model? Is it still a standalone charge regardless of package? I did a search here and didn't see anything on it, but apologies if it was already covered.
  11. From what I understand the scanners for carry ons is about the same size as the ones at TSA in airports. So if it fits in the scanners you can carry it on. Large luggage would need to go with the porters. I plan on keeping my backpack with me.
  12. wow! That is not what I picture for an airport hotel. It looks beautiful.
  13. This is great information. Thank you! I have my luggage tags printed in color so hopefully easy for the right porter to find me.
  14. Thank you for all the details! I did go back and forth on if we should stay near the airport or downtown. We ultimately decided on a downtown hotel since we will have some time on Friday but the Seattle Express sounds great.
  15. Thanks for the info! We currently have an arrival time of 11. Probably should have said that! I'm glad to hear there are cruise employees around for guidance.
  16. I am taking my first cruise ever this September out of Seattle and I am a little lost on getting on the ship. Can anyone help put my mind at ease? I am arriving in Seattle the day before and will then Uber to the port from my hotel. I want to be on asap so I can make reservations, have lunch and well I am just excited. What time should I arrive at the port? I was thinking 10:30 but is that late, early? I am in a suite if that makes any difference on timing. I keep seeing conflicting things about what to do with your luggage once you are dropped off at the port. Some people say give to the porters and they are great. Others say the porters aren't cruise ship employees and won't care for your luggage. Is there place we would go to give direct to princess? I have no desire to carry it on myself. I also have no problem tipping the ports if that is the best or easiest or only option. I just don't really understand what the options are and I don't want to give my luggage to the wrong person and never see it again. Are there clear signs where to go to wait to board if you have priority boarding? Any other tips or tricks anyone has? Thanks for any help!
  17. I am on the Royal on Sept 9th and I have seen the same thing on the app. One day last week Crown Grill was available for almost every time on every day so I was able to book 1 day. Now it is back to Sabatini's only every day. I plan on making my reservations once I am on board. I haven't heard anything about Crown Grill being closed for any reason. I think the app is just glitchy.
  18. I haven't had first hand experience but have read from others that if there is a liquor you like, the concierge can get it for the lounge. This might vary by lounge or the person though.
  19. This is great information! Thank you! This is our first suite and first ever cruise so trying to figure out so much. We are really looking forward to having the lounge so close. Good tip on the laundry tokens too. My husband has some shirts he would rather not send off. I'll keep this in mind.
  20. It really shouldn't be! I'll just hope for the best once on board.
  21. I would love to do through the app but it doesn't seem to let me book the free first night specialty dining at all and every other days only shows Sabatini's. 🤷‍♀️
  22. I want to make dining reservations for specialty restaurants on embarkation day which I think I can do through the suite Concierge on the Royal Princess. Does anyone know when they open on embarkation day?
