  1. Thanks for the photo! FWIW I see both Chai Latte and Frappuccinos on the menu. And prices. 😮
  2. Once onboard, connected to ship WiFi you will have deck plans in the apo
  3. Different on different ships how it is done. Or even different on same ship, not far apart in time, if there has been staff changes. It has been early in the morning the last handful or so tender ports I visited 2023 and one this year.
  4. I'm not into Starbucks myself. Not onboard, not on land. But I have been told that prices onboard are approximately the same as on land or maybe a little bit more with the 20% gratuity added. I have seen Chai Latte and I THINK Frappucinos on Atrium café menus on ships, but I haven't been on Jewel. Should be the same one would think. But I don't know. (And I'm not entirley sure of the Frappucinos. Maybe I remember wrongly)
  5. On the ships I've been to that have had tender ports (Star and Dawn) you only had to show your keycard (where Latitude status is printed). I don't know if this is fleetwide though.
  6. This is true for many NCL ships. Only the newer/bigger ones have full Starbucks where you can use gift cards and app. I'm guessing Epic and later.
  7. In my opinion the Dawn Itinerary is better. I do live pretty much in the middle between Oslo and Stockholm so it would be super convenient for me. But putting that aside, the Dawn itinerary is more appealing to me. I have been to many of the places in both itineraries (although not by cruise ship) and for example Århus is so nice for a "stroll around person" like me. And Riga... And don't get me started on Oslo... But honestly, you can't go wrong whichever you choose! They are both very good!
  8. I too have holders that in no way are NCL specific. They are actually "to big". I put that in quotes because as far as I'm concerned, as long as I can get the tag in there I'm fine and I don't care if it's room to spare!
  9. Is a "jet pack" a mobile moden/router? Or some other device? I'm not American so I don't know what plans Verizon has, but unless they offer "Internet at sea" or something like that you can't use it. If the DO offer Some sort of "at sea" plan, check their pricing. It can be eye-watering expensive!
  10. This is Cruise Critic. It doesn't work like that here. 😟 If millimetres are all right my Bliss tag is about 72 mm wide and about 192 mm long before folding. Including the "staple here" tab. Making it around 90 mm folded and without the "staple here" Edit: seems like mine is slightly smaller than what @omahabob said. Maybe different printer settings?
  11. They are doing the same thing in June. Barcelona 4-14, Rome 8-18, Barcelona 14-24 or something like that. Very confusing!
  12. I don't know anything about Haven line but when I embarked regular non-priority there some months ago it was the smoothest embarkation imaginable. Several others said the same. So I can't imagine there being any problems at all with Haven boarding.
  13. Contactless was common in for example Spain loooong before the pandemic. They were very early adopters of "tapping the card". Wether getting asked for PIN depends on the rules of your bank/credit card company and/or the settings in the payment terminal. Usually it's an amount limit to what you can "blip" without entering PIN.
  14. Are you sure that what you saw was where the bidding was at? I have never seen that.
  15. As for restroom use: If you make a purchase in a café or restaurant they will probably let you use the restroom for free. If you just walk in and ask for the restroom a one-Euro coin in hand is a nice gesture. They may or may not acceppt it or put it i a charity- or tip-jar. In some places it is posted there is a fee. Usually one Euro.
  16. But did NCL actually ever call it Discretionary Service Charge? I thought the D stood for Daily if DSL was used in NCL documentation. It somehow turned to Discretionary here at CC through.
  17. If there is something you're unhappy with, let guest services know early to give them a chance to fix whatever is wrong.
  18. That was my thought as well. One of NCL's all too common web site glitches maybe.*
  19. So did I. And for the longest time I didn't understand why my daughter was listed as "ICE Linda" in my contact app. Not being native English speaking it took WAY too long for that penny to drop for me! 😄
  20. Usually debarkation tours are posted around 50 days before the cruise. Hving said that I just saw a PuertoRico debarkation tour posted for my cruise 600+ days away. 😄
  21. I did not do this cruise. But I do remember reading about a similar cruise back in September/Octobe sometime that had a lot of ports cancelled. Among them Dublin. I took another UK/Ireland cruise back in October and we had Dublin and Isle of Man cancelled. People were very upset over Dublin and said it had been the reason for booking that cruise. My view is that if a certain place is that important to you, don't book a cruise to go there. Take a land/air trip there and stay a day or two (or more). (Especially, don't take an autumn cruise! Spring/summer should be a little less risky. SO may you'll be just fine!) When Dublin got cancelled on my cruise we got an overnight in Cobh instead. I LOVED that! Such a nice little town and so convenient to get on/off the ship there! (I went to Cork the second day, the day we were originally scheduled for Cobh. Very nice city.)
  22. One half liter carton should be left in your room for gold and above. (Maybe it's two for sapphire?). I think it's per person, but since I'm solo I don't know.
  23. I certainly do not! Why would you think that? I do as you should: I fill a glass and transfer the water to the bottle. Or I refill it in my bathroom. I'm not American so I'm not addicted to ice. 😁
