  1. Perhaps they knew they were changing so put the more aggressive date on the Invoice and left contract at the 120 until the official change since they know most people don’t read the contract?!? 🤷🏻‍♂️. I guess the moral of the story is with these changing times, read the Ticket Contract folks!
  2. Honestly, I’m not sure and really not sure if Oceania knows!! I just looked at a cruise I booked last September and have since taken for 12 days and the Invoice said 180 days and Ticket Contract says 120 days! The same with a cruise I booked in February!! Now on most recent one booked this week, they both match at 180.
  3. On our recent cruise, most of our non OE excursions were in the 25-30 range. May have been one a bit more but definitely not 40….I seem to recall the tour guide counting to 27 a lot of them. 😉
  4. I just booked a cruise on Monday for under 15 days and the Full Payment is due 90 days prior.
  5. As I noted before not sure if this is just another example of one area of Oceania not being able to communicate with another, but whereas above is what is indicated on their website I just booked a cruise on Monday and BOTH the Invoice and the Ticket Contract (the legal contract) indicate the cancellation penalty for my cruise of under 15 days for the 180-91 days to be only the $250 Application fee. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  6. Welcome, I might add that the mirror over the desk also had a built in light the same as the one in the bathroom. Those that were traveling with me seemed to really appreciate that feature. Perhaps standard now with the retrofits with other ships, but not sure.
  7. On our recent cruise on Vista in a Veranda Stateroom there was a long shoehorn in drawer with the hair dryer which seemed the same and worked fine and a large umbrella in the closet.
  8. We were just on a cruise and had purchased the House Select package and we were not charged any gratuities. Also have a couple of booked cruises. When you go into account and click on Purchase Beverage Package, with both choices it states that the gratuities are included. So most likely just another little blip on their site. I think most of us can agree that their website and in some cases their reps are NOT the reasons we like Oceania so much!! That probably shows even how much more we actually enjoy the sailing experiences as we are willing to accept these other deficiencies.
  9. None required at all on our recent cruise on Vista. You saw a handful of people who were wearing, but very few. We packed a couple just in case we were somewhere out and about before and after cruise that may have requested them. But did not see any of that either.
  10. We were on the Vista cruise following the founders cruise. We had no issues at all with the internet.
  11. Agree, also going around with pepper mill and on table in Terrace Cafe on our recent cruise also
  12. Thanks! That is good to know. This will be in Oslo so hopefully will allow a bit more time to see a few more sights.
  13. Also with regard to the aft elevators not going to 5. On Embarkation day I was using it and kept on pushing 5 and nothing happened. After a few attempts I stepped off and a crew member was there and asked about it and he said it does not go to 5. Of course I asked why does it allow me to see and push button 5. Said that was for crew only??But the next day I was using the same elevator and they had the 5 button covered! So at least they listened. But overall it was an extremely pleasurable experience. As noted a few bugs will take a bit,of time to fix, but all minor that I noticed.
  14. New to cruising here, only been on 2 before and both on Oceania. On Embarkation day, once you have checked in and went onboard, are you allowed to then get off the ship on Embarkation day? I was just wondering as have a cruise next July and we do not sail on Embark day until 11:00 PM and would seem like a great opportunity to get off the ship and enjoy the port city some more.
  15. When we received the notice to watch the video initially while at home before the cruise we watched it and then received probably 3 more emails advising us that we needed to watch said video. After watching again a couple more times we finally just ignored their e-mail pleas to watch it again. Not really sure what that was about.
  16. On our recent cruise we were initially in the Guaranteed category but received our Stateroom assignment approximately one week or so prior to Final Paymemt date.
  17. I thought the food was decent but as many have noted it was nothing over the top special. Those that I were with seemed to enjoy the pork chops. To me, the biggest issue was the noise. It was pretty extreme.
  18. We were on the Vista for the Trieste to Athens cruise and that one elevator was doing the same on that cruise regarding loud notice of an overload! One time it was just me and another person…and I am NOT that big!!!
  19. I just booked a cruise on Monday (6/19) for under 15 days and both the Invoice and the Ticket Contract have the same cancellation policy noted as in the past…nothing regarding the 10%, just the $250 fee.
