  1. That's a big difference. More of a personal choice though. Does the Princess cruise price include the add on Plus or Premier package?
  2. Sounds all inclusive. Is the daily gratuity also included?
  3. That must have been a one off deal. Glad RC and Celebrity don't do cruise point transfers. We made Diamond and Elite before the reciprocal program and never received anything additional after the program first started.
  4. You are welcome. So far just the conversation I had with the shoreside CAS and she documented everything I said and would forward it on. To who, I'm not sure. Hopefully someone at the RCG level in charge of the CAS. From what I took away from our conversation, not many complaints have been called or emailed in concerning the Diamonds on cruises with D+ and P high numbers and not allowed in the CL during the evening HH. Of course she said she understood my concerns but quickly reminded me as a D+ this would not effect us. Not my point.
  5. When is your cruise? The app wasn't even remotely close (some menus changed while on the ship) until we were approximal two weeks from our sail date on our October Eclipse cruise. We waited until we are seated in the MDR and that's when we found the discrepancies.
  6. We book for the itinerary, not the ship.
  7. Best cruises IMO for port intensive cruises and the southern Caribbean leaves out of San Juan.
  8. Pat, I respect your decision. Have you contacted the CAS and voiced your concerns, complaints as to why your are moving on? FWIW.
  9. Since you will have first hand knowledge of what's happening, post back.
  10. We have switched back to TD. Just wish they had the 6:PM time slot for TD. MTD hours are too late and no way do we want to show up without reservations. Agree about the lines.
  11. Kathy accuses me of turning my food white with salt and black with pepper. Guess that's why I drink a lot more on cruises than I do at home. Maybe my taste buds never came back from years of smoking cigarettes. Simple solution, smoke pot. 😉
  12. We enjoy having a couple of drinks and a snack (cheese) in the CL before supper. If the snacks were discontinued we would still go to to the CL for pre supper drinks. I'd mention our displeasure to the CL concierge and on my PCS. I like cheese with my whine. I'm not a sentimentalist but we consider going to the CL a tradition we still enjoy. 🍻 We enjoy the company, staff and other cruisers. I don't drink coffee or eat the continental style breakfast in the CL. But I would hate to see that disappear as a perk/benefit for those that do enjoy it. We do enjoy going to the CL after being in port for a glass of ice water and chilling for a few minutes.
  13. We've only been D+ since March of 2017. For us making D was way better than making D+. I don't think we'll ever grow tired of the DL, I mean CL. United we stand, divided we fall. Start voicing your concerns to Royal. The shoreside CAS (1-800-526-9723) is a start. I also emailed mbayley@rccl.com. Hopefully it gets forwarded to the correct people and not deleted. Anyone know the email address for the executive office? I have had good results from the Celebrity executive office with questions and concerns about some of the recent Captains Club changes.
  14. Agree. The decision is being made from ship to ship based on the number of D+ and Ps onboard. If the numbers are high, D will be kicked out of the CL in the evening. When I spoke to the shoreside CAS this morning I told her the whole thing stinks. Just because the numbers might be high on that cruise doesn't mean the CL is going to be maxed out. I suggested if this continues the CL should be first come, first serve, no matter if D, D+ or P. Let the CL concierge decide room capacity.
  15. Correct. My concern is where dose it stop. We lost the CL. Not a biggie for us. For some reason we felt out of place in the CLs and right at home in the DLs. Just hate to see the cuts. Fighting for the diamonds. 😉 BTW, I've expressed my concerns up the chain about this possible fleetwide change. Even on Celebrity. As the great Buffalo Springfield sang, "For what it's worth". ✌️
  16. I know perks/benefits can be added or taken away at their discretion. I didn't imply the CAS program wasn't free to join. You don't even have to cruise with RC to become a CAS member. I don't see it that way. I paid for each tier level.
  17. Of course no one is complaining because they aren't denied. I'd complain if we were denied entrance in the evening to the DL(CL). This is a perk/benefit we paid for.
  18. Right on. Glade to see we aren't the only ones that still enjoy the DL (CL). 🍻
