  1. Bottom line, the CAS member ordering their drinks is not charged a gratuity and that was @Dolby1000 question. How the server is paid for those drinks is between RC and them. Not my concern.
  2. Agree. We also would have no issues with showing out Seapass cards to enter the DL/CL. Most of the time the door is shut when we go in for pre supper drinks and a snack.
  3. What's not to understand. As I said we like the DL on the Jewel better than the CL. Location, location. Never had a problem with prompt service for drinks in the DL. CL outside seating isn't a draw for us. If you prefer the CL, your choice. Enjoy. 🍷
  4. Look at it this way, it's bigger than the Deluxe Porthole Verandas on the E class ships.
  5. No biggie. We liked the DL on the Jewel. Better location than the CL. Doing a B2B on the Radiance March 2025.
  6. Enjoy the CL. Good location on the Adventure. Always our pre supper hangout (5 to 5:45) for a couple of drinks and a snack. 🍻
  7. Doing a September 2024 Alaska cruise on the Edge. Dawes Glacier Cruise. Leaves out of Seattle and returns to Vancouver. First Alaska cruise and we are looking forward to it.
  8. Maybe they are trying to be politically correct.
  9. As far as @Dolby1000 question. As I and others have said, no tip is charged for the CAS drinks. Tipping is optional for the drinks.
  10. Any OBC and were those 18% charges deducted from it or did your end of cruise invoice show those charges what you owe? 0 x 18% = 0
  11. Night 6 on our recent Eclipse cruise. Prime rib (perfectly cooked and a nice size cut) severed with mashed potatoes. My wife liked them, I ordered Mac n Cheese.
  12. Bummer for you. 😅 You are the first I've heard that from. Never a gratuity on our CAS drinks under the old HH drinks and not on the current CAS drink program. 🍻
  13. Just off the Eclipse (15 Oct.). Bring salt and pepper. I got carpal tunnel trying to get salt and pepper out of those stupid grinders in the MDR.
  14. Yes, I know. Old habits are hard to break. I'll correct myself going forward.
  15. I don't drink coffee but my wife does and has a cup with breakfast. We were just on Celebrity's Eclipse and she would have to ask for half and half or cream every time as the little picture on the table always had milk in it.
  16. For us, that's the DL. In the evening we are there from 5 to 5:45 for a couple of pre supper drinks and a light snack. We have always been able to get a seat along with excellent service. Quiet, possibly not when I'm in the DL. My wife has to keep reminding me to use my inside voice. I have no idea what the D, D+ and P numbers have been on any of our cruises. But we only cruise on the Radiance class, Voyager class and Freedom class ships. Always in the March/ April time frame in the Caribbean.
  17. My thinking also. I don't care what they call the lounge. But there are some here on CC who are assuming the name change will mean Diamonds will not have access to the new Crown Lounge.
  18. You didn't even cross my mind when making that comment. "Some". Yes you are. 🍷
  19. So your best guess, why Crown Lounge? What tier level does that identify? DL wasn't only for Diamonds. Maybe some Pinnacles were complaining about the DL name so RCG decided to spend a few bucks fleetwide on a name change. We all are paying for it.
