When any of these companies talk about “new builds” don’t believe a word until they announce a contract with a builder. I, too hope Crystal will be able to move forward but even with the cash they have they cannot compete with MSC and RCL. And with only 250 pax on board it is going to be tough sledding to get the $$ they need to expand. We board in Sydney on 1/21 for 68 days. Can’t wait.

Moecker said they do not have my mailing address. Of course it is on the front page of my claim. In any case they will send me a form to fill out with address and then eventually I will get my check. In all fairness to them with the thousands of claims they have snafus are to be expected. Glad I called.

We, too, loved the product even with some snafus. Ready to book a third round once they announce itineraries post Spring 25. But a loyalty program that discriminates against loyalty makes us think again. Especially since they continue to run half full with mostly TAs. I thought these guys were supposed to be pros!!!

We booked three cruises in Sept 24 when we were on board in September in top category. Now inquiring if we can get this discount applied. Seems grossly unfair to loyal rebookers to exclude us from savings. But then this is MSC. And whatever happened to the promised loyalty program?’

I am in the same boat as Flyer Talker. Thanks to EI I am whole. When my check arrived from Moecker it will be a bonus. I am still booking cruises two years ahead and then canceling if health not up to it. Only way to insure you get desired cabin. And then moving deposits forward. Guess I didn’t learn much from Old Crystal.

Thanks to EI we have five Crystals booked over next two years. But I am afraid without a new ship it may be over for us. Never wanted to try any other kind but now we like Silversea and Explora ships. Guess it will be diversity for us.

As usual Nun hits it on the head. There need to be rules that are enforced if we have any hope of retaining sone sort of civility. What one wears affects their respect or lack of it for their fellows. It also shows their self respect or lack of it.

One thing for sure, you won’t need any formal wear. In our 30 days there was only one person who wire a tux and that was me. I will nit bring it in my next Explora cruise. I just wouldn’t go to Fils Rouge in the evening without a jacket out of respect fir the venue. I was in the minority.

This event surely is not going to get more cruisers interested in this itinerary. Same for cruise companies. Really too bad as now that Saudi has opened up there are a lot of new places to see that none of us have visited. Luxor, Aqaba, and now Jeddah available for us not to mention the canal itself. Fingers crossed.

I think armed guards have been on every cruise ship traveling there for years.
