  1. Thanks for the wonderful live updates, and the follow up review, it's been wonderful to follow on and read your summary of thoughts. It sounds like you had a wonderful time on board, I must admit, reading this post increased excitement levels for boarding soon myself. Thank you 🙂
  2. The Queens Room will play other music on certain nights, and at other times throughout the evening when there is ballroom dancing. For a flavour of some of the music that could feature in the Queens Room, check out: https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/activity-types/evening/queens-room-music-nights You should get a mix of everything from disco to 70's, 80's and movie soundtrack covers. There is also the G32 club which you access through the Queens Room. https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/activity-types/bars-and-lounges/g32 Those are your best options for dancing, although for non-dancing there will also be singers / entertainment in the Golden Lion Pub, and other live performers around the ship.
  3. That'll be a great one to follow along with. Re. not extending... part of me is half expecting to see you're still on board when I board in 21 days time for Norway 😂 Look forward to your thoughts on Tramonto.
  4. Ah, fantastic! I'm contemplating a set or two when we board. Look forward to following along on your voyage for non-LEGO updates (and feel free to share the LEGO build shots too!)
  5. Sorry to hear of the dreadful drive home HH. Thanks for all of the posts and pictures, very much enjoyed following along - certainly keeping us giddy and excited for our own trip!
  6. More LEGO 👀 which sets this time?
  7. It's going to have to be one of the first things we buy I think!
  8. Have a great time, look forward to following along!
  9. Ah yes. WiFi is the obvious one, should also be relatively easy too. I suspect some of this "review" is how Grills is communicated and marketed more than actually changed. I was more thinking out loud than giving it too much though (a fun distraction between work calls) - Grills is not something I shall get to experience myself for a while!
  10. Ah, that's somewhat disappointing! Thanks for the digging though. Nevermind, perhaps they'll announce the date at the 185th anniversary event next June?
  11. And I hope you enjoy your voyages on her, I look forward to experiencing her myself. It seems with the demand they've got, there are enough Queens for all passengers.
  12. Those are fair, and valid feelings to have. Ultimately though, none of us know it means until it happens. At a guess, it would be making Grills more inclusive - similar to Explora Journeys but in Cunard's own way. We can but wait and see!
  13. I'm intrigued to find out, I'll keep an eye out for the next Katie blog! I think it's easy to read into the comments regarding Queen Victoria's loyal fan base when she was homeported to Southampton. I am looking forward to experiencing her twice in the next twelve months though!
  14. I think Cunard and her fleet will always be quintessentially British. I am looking forward to finding out what this means come June 2025
  15. I think they'll lean more into locally sourced ingredients / dishes more than removing the British overtones. Guess we'll find out soon enough when she homeports to North America!
  16. I *think* this is allowed to be posted, apologies in advance @Host Hattie if not (please delete if not), but direct links to sources readily accessible online read as okay in guidelines. Some interesting tidbits from Katie Mcalister's blog regarding Queen Elizabeth's homeporting to North America and the changes being made to entertainment and the drinks and menu partnerships. Some references to Queen Anne's improving NPS. A mention of the 185th Anniversary in Liverpool. Some more love for Queen Victoria (I wonder if @Victoria2 had some sway in this), and I thought most interesting of all - a review of the Grills proposition to guests. Could this be an expansion to make it more akin to "ship within a ship" or perhaps they're going all in along the lines of Explora for those in suites with WiFi etc... https://theinsider.carnivalukgroup.com/post/2024/09/katies-blog-september-2024/
  17. Sounds like an absolutely amazing experience, I will have to keep eyes peeled to see if we can book this for ourselves! Thanks for sharing.
  18. Thanks all for the responses, it is a Norway & Northern Lights cruise we are on. News of blankets and flasks of tea and coffee is very pleasing to hear!
  19. Apologies if this is a stupid question (expect a few more as we are less than a month from our first voyage on Queen Anne and with Cunard) - do they provide blankets out on deck if weather is cold?
  20. Thanks for sharing these, great to be able to see the opening times for venues. Been wonderful to follow along on your voyage 🙂
  21. Looks wonderful, have the opening hours extended for the Sky Bar?
  22. Sounds delightful, have enjoyed following along 🙂
  23. I've had success contacting Cunard via Social Media about speakers aboard specific itineraries six weeks out. All caveated with "may change". Worth sending a message to ask them.
  24. Good morning to you! Hope you enjoy your voyage - looking forward to following along.
  25. Few others, two years off from boarding for ourselves - but cannot wait
