  1. Hi Christine

Just been reading through the thread again and it's brilliant to read back on

It's only 10 days now till we sail on sun princess and your hard work on this thread have been fantastic and a great way for us to have an idea what to expect regarding the food on our first ever cruise

    Thank you so much again

    Kind regards

    Mark and Angela

    Thanks again Patto1000!

Just remember to take time to enjoy and let some of the cruising experience come to you. Anticipation of your cruise is at least have of the joy of sailing. You will never be able to do everything there is to do or have the time. That is one of the things that make the next one so exciting. Also remember if any problems arise they can't fix or try to help you fix them if they don't know about the problem(s). Best of luck and as always....................

    Happy Cruising!

  3. Christine - some one sent me pics of the menu of our three day trip. I intend to put them on the Princess site as a separate thread, but I though you might want to put them on here as well. If it would be ok, I will down load them here. If you would like to pic them up when I finish that would be ok as well.

    Thanks AZbeachboy!

That is so kind of you.

    Happy Cruising!

  4. We are travelling on Dawn Princess in a couple of weeks and I am curious to see how the menus may be modified. Lamb is expensive in Australia, steak not so much so I am looking forward to trying it out. Going to have to do double sessions at the gym so I don't waste all my recent gym efforts. :p

They should be the same, but that does make me curious also.

    Keep us posted Pushka.

    Happy Cruising!

  5. Yes, thank you! I can see my husband and I will be trying a lot of things we've never heard of or never seen! :)

    Thank you bitsey66!

That is one of the joys of cruising......all of the different types of food you can try.

Hope you have a safe and wonderful journey.

    Happy Sailing!

  6. Thank you CrusinContessa!

I must really love the Princess Food........ anytime someone else does the cooking.......and cleaning up afterwards.......I'm there!

    Happy Cruising!

We sailed the Sun in 2003 and 2005....what a great Princess ship.....We loved the warm feeling of all the Princess ships.....it is almost like going to a class reunion......you walk in wondering if you will see anyone you know, and go home feeling that you remembered everyone.

    Happy Cruising!

  7. Thanks Christinelee for all your hard work!

Is there a Vines menu (the tapas and sushi) or did I miss it? I know the tapas and sushi are free if you order wine, but I'd like to know what they offer. :)

They change them all of the time....hard to keep up with the changes......sorry!

    Happy Cruising!

  8. Just finished reading this thread and can't wait for our cruise to Hawaii next week. The fondue sounds amazing. I've never seen that on a cruise. I hope they have it on our cruise. Thanks for all the hard work putting this thread together.

    Denise

    Thanks dtb55,

Let us know about it all when you get back. We go in January. Are you going from LA or San Fran?

  9. Dear Christinelee, We are first time Princess cruisers...over 30 NCL cruises and roll calls. This is, however, the most informative and most satisfying posts I have ever seen. We are cruising for 4 days on the Golden Princess and can't wait.

I have never been privy to such informative posts. What a pleasure.

I can't thank you enough as you have convinced me to check out my next Princess cruise of 7 or more days.

    Thank you again, Eileen

    Thank you EileenN,

Glad it helped you and maybe we will see you on future cruises. We are "true blue: Princess fans. There isn't anything that we have not loved on any of our cruises.... true there might have been a few hiccups along the way, but if you give them a chance to right any wrong they will always come through for you.

    Happy Cruising!

  10. No really.....thank you for all your efforts

We sail on sun princess on nov 11th from Sydney on our first ever cruise and your thread has been a fantastic insight for us so thanks again :)

    Kindest regards

    Mark and Angela

What a fantastic cruise for your first. Hope you enjoy and the waters beneath us some day flow together.

    Happy Cruising!

  11. Thank you Christinelee. I am considering the Golden Princess for a cruise to Alaska. The menus and information your provided as been very helpful. I appreciate it. :D

Thank you for your kind words plattwear.

We are Princess through and through.

    Happy Sailing!

  12. Christine, You did an excellent job ! You presented every meal, snack and venue from soup to nuts. I appreciate all the effort you put in and to keep this site alive. Maybe if your readers who have eaten at the Most Traveled Luncheons on the ships they would share what was served at their meal. I know what is served seems to vary by the head chef. It would be fun to read or see pictures of what was presented.

Thanks again Christine ! ( regards to Terry ) Are Sheila, Tim,Dennis and Jim going to Hawaii also ?

    Thanks again Sal!

Yes the old crew will be there again along with a bunch of newbies. Only three more lifetimes of sailing for us to be invited, how bout you?

Great ideas always come from great minds.

    Happy Sailing!

  13. That is the end. I believe that all of the menus are here. Too much trouble trying to keep it where people can see and use it. Everyone wants to read, but not comment. so We will slowly fade into the "dark Pages".

It has been fun and it has been time consuming.

    Happy Cruising!

  14. Christine, Any thoughts for the cruise after Hawaii ? I am hoping for Alaska towards the end of May.

    Sali

Can't think that far ahead.....I am the TA for large group and it is really time consuming....plus have to wait until all the cards clear on the Hawaiian Cruise....lol!

    Stay in touch.

    Happy Cruising!

  15. Hi Christine ! I am still around and try to follow your very active thread. Just think 22,000 + views. Christine, you have done a marvelous job of organizing and presenting all your research. We all love to read about food. I do like those early Nov. Carib cruises but this year I will be visiting the Panama Canal. It is an 11 day cruise Dec. 6 on the Coral. While I enjoy the larger Princess ships, I look forward to experiencing the Coral. I have looked at some live reports from the Coral. The ship has some different features I am looking forward to exploring. Will your cruise to Hawaii in Jan be your first time visiting Hawaii ?My Coral roll call is a quiet one.

    Sali

Glad to see you are still "feeling the wind in your face". This will be the first cruise to Hawaii, but have been there before on land.

We were scheduled to go on a Panama cruise in '09 ( on the Coral) when Terry had "sudden cardiac death". I guess it was not meant to be. Still waiting for that call to pick you up in "The Windy City".

Glad you are still here and..

    Happy Sailing!

  16. Happy Birthday. I hope its a great one. My BD is Friday and we leave on short cruise on Monday.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Well right back at you!

Hope your cruise and your birthday are great days that turn into years!

As my grandmother always said....."I wish you enough".

    Happy Sailing!
