We were in a Star Loft this cruise but it is essentially the same situation. We make it work but Owen is also a sound sleeper. I agree. We have done it with one before, but we have gotten used to having two. For us, two bathrooms are really nice as it just makes getting ready a faster process. Being on deck 17 is a much shorter walk to CK/SL than the aft suites.

Yes, Detroit is our normal airport. We are 2.5 hours from from Detroit, but when you add the extra hour to the Apple Store we didn't get home till about 6pm. With my alarm going off at 6am it was an exceptionally long day of travel.

This did happen today. Thank-you Apple Care. Also an Owen story to come tomorrow as well.

Sorry everyone. Got super busy with work as well as home stuff. Finals thought’s tomorrow as we are off to a hockey game at 7:30 tonight.

We did the “four headed monster” review a few years ago with myself, @Yorkvillain, @CruiseLifeRick and @maureencruiserand it was great.

We are home but beat. 12 hours of “travel” takes a toll. I’ll try to wrap it all up tomorrow in between loads of laundry. We got to the Apple Store on the way home and they had no tech service times for today. Lost an hour of driving just to have an appointment for tomorrow morning at 10:00am. Laundry is sorted and swim suits are being done now. Lucy greeted us. She was like, I’ll take pets and snacks please.

It’s YTBD, but there have been some murmurs of a group review. If so I might sit back and enjoy it in real time. All will be known in due time.

We board the plane shortly and should be in Detroit at 2:30. Apple Store on the way home and maybe some food to go. We will give a quick update when we arrive home along with our final thoughts of our NYE birthday sailing. This is what awaits us. Not bad, not bad at all.

That sailing will be a blast. Hard to believe it is coming so soon.

Yes. 64 days till embarkation but who’s counting. 😀

The other glitch, when checking in on embarkation day we were sent to a special counter that we had never seen before. We were told by the Pier Coordinator that we had a balance due before we even boarded the ship. Our cruise was paid in full, as our paper worked showed but they let us on. 🤷‍♂️ The agent at the pier said check onboard, as their records show no information. Raj did some research and they didn’t know either on the ship. It appeared on our ship account but was gone by day 3. Never did find out the reason why we had the charge or for what, but it’s all good.

We did have a couple small hick-ups along the way. Ever see an iPhone with water damage that is unrecoverable? Parents, reminds your kids to check their pockets before they enter the Ocean. The only thing that wasn’t so great at Paradise Beach. Apple care still has a few months remaining, so we have one stop in the way home.

I don’t talk about Star Class much but I will say the express departure is great. The security improvements at the port help all guests, but it is a benefit I greatly appreciate. Raj our Genie. He says hello to his past guests following along. If you ever meet him in passing, or have him as a Genie, say hello to him from our family. He truly is one of a kind.

We didn’t have to stop at the naughty table on the way off the ship. I did grab a photo though. We didn’t buy anything at the ship’s yard sale. Zoom in to see the goods for sale. Another way RC is making money. LOL

We had breakfast this morning in the CK and departed deck 17 at 8am and have been sitting at our airplane gate by 8:50. With PE now having facial recognition for customs which sped it up. Get grabbed a taxi for the quick ride over. TSA pre check made the security check easy.

And like that we are back in Port Everglades. The Caribbean Princess, we sailed on here numerous times in our Princess days. One of the Newer Princess ships. She narrow, and I like them thick. Look at the bags under Owens eyes. Another late night. They make mine look decent. 🤪

@PompeySailor we dug through the stones quickly this morning and didn’t find anything. Unless you his stone we had no luck.

Oh no, I totally forgot to look. I can’t now either as Lisa is sleeping. She’d kill me.

No horn warns this cruise. I was hoping for one in Cozumel when Mariner was beside us. Sadly nothing.
