You can select a terminal arrival time prior to boarding under the Documents section of the app.   It’s available somewhere between 10 and 60 days prior to departure.   If your documents are in order and you have your medallion, it’s a quick passport check at the pier and you’re done. Very slick.

The muster process improvements have been the best thing to come out of The Unpleasantness.  If both medallions are in the cabin, watching the safety video on the TV marks that step complete.  Otherwise, watch on the app.  Then, before sailaway, visit your muster station and tap your medallion to record your attendance.  It is *so well done*.

Thanks for the information, how do you get your Medallion?

  2. Haven't sailed Princess in a few years, but just booked again and cant wait to board. Since it has been a few for us on Princess, I am assuming some things have changed and wanting to know what the check in process was now.

Is there a specific number of days out before you can check in, also is vis the app now or still on line?

Can you select your check in time at the pier ahead of time, if so when is done?

How has Princess been doing the Muster Drill now?

Any check in information would be greatly appreciated.

If it makes a difference we are going on Ruby Princess out of Galveston.

Thanks in advance for any information.

If anyone is currently on Allure can you please tell me if they have made the wipe out cafe  a  El loco fresh? That is what I am seeing on my Royal Caribbean app for the current sailing. (states wipe out cafe featuring el loco fresh)

I haven't been on a ship that has had the El Loco Fresh, what is it (assuming Mexican style food) and is it worth eating at?

Have you booked the 4 shows?

Idk havent checked but a lot is already showing in the app. I booked all 4 shows for that date. See you onboard.

firefly333, are you saying you have already booked shows in the app for Allure? Asking because we are on the November 20 sailing and I haven't seen any shows yet in the app or logging into the planner online. Maybe I am not looking in the right place.

Ships sailing full always have some empty cabins. Cabins can be taken out of service based on a predetermined maintenance schedule (i.e. changing out worn out mattresses, etc.), or when a guest doesn't make the sailing and may not be immediately visible to a front of the house GS staffer. We had an issue on one cruise where the people in the neighboring cabin enjoyed vaping THC on their balcony, and the hotel staff "moved" them to a different cabin and the one next door became empty for the rest of the cruise. Vacant cabins can be "pressed" into service if needed for an issue that can't be resolved with passengers inhabiting the affected cabin in the way.

Agree, the ships always leave a specific number of cabins empty in the event that a maintenance issue comes with a cabin and they have to move someone. We had an issue in the past where we were offered a replacement cabin and guest services is the ones who told us they always leave some cabins opens for unexpected issues.

  6. I have a simple question as to seating in the MDR. On our upcoming Allure cruise we have early dining selected and was wondering if if you are seated randomly everyday or do you have an assigned table for the entire cruise? Also if you have an assigned table for the entire cruise, any issues with changing locations if you request? Haven't had early dining in awhile, because been doing My time ding , so not sure.

Try a port of Galveston parking code GRANDOPENING22 for $20 off.  Not sure how long the promo lasts. This is the parking right at the new terminal.

Thanks for listing the code cruiselvr04. Used it yesterday and it still works. Brought the price down to within $5 of EZ Cruise who I normally use, but this way no shuttles, just walk to/from terminal to car.

  8. We had an issues Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I waited till midnight so I could select the earliest arrival time, but the app just kept saying it wasn't ready for check-in. After about 20 minutes of trying I tried on their website and it finally opened for check-in. However the next day the app still wouldn't bring up the check-in, even though I already had it done. After I uninstalled and reinstalled the app it did show up then. Definitely a problem with their system.

  9. We have always gotten better cabin than paid for, and will not hesitate to book GTY again.

Have gone from interior room to balcony, interior to Oceanview. Most have within the same room category, but always an upgraded location.

Don't sweat it, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Also please remember room location is subjective, what is bad location for one person may a preferred location for another.

  10. Booked on the Allure for November and looking for a bit of information on the terminal that RCCL has being completed in Galveston. I believe it is going to be Terminal 3 at Pier 10.

How far from the existing terminals is it?

Will it still be walking distance from from some of the close private port parking that is already existing?

If not close is there any new private parking going up by it?

Will it have its own Port of Galveston parking lot or will it be shared with the existing terminals?

Thanks in advance for any information.

  11. I have a simple question about the debarkation process on the Dream.

What floor do they usually debark from and is there an area on the floor of debarkation to store luggage until leaving the ship or debarkation area for platinum/diamond on that floor?

Thanks in advance for any information
