  1. They aren't. I am guessing it is a lifeboat capacity issue. Our room sleeps eight. We have five people and are looking to add one more. We cant.

This happened to my friend and I Christmas of 2016. We upgraded to the GV close to sailing and wanted to add people, as it was just the 2 of us. We were not able to due to capacity issues.

  2. Four of us are currently booked in a Haven aft suite which was all good but now my son wants to join us as well. Our suite has a connecting balcony and we are considering booking it to put all 3 kids in that cabin. As an FYI the kids are young adults two18 year olds and one 21 year old.

Has anyone recently done this type of set up?

Would they be able to take advantage of the Haven amenities such as the restaurant?

Would they be able to get a key card that allows them access to the Haven area?

Would they be able to check in with us on embarkation day?

    Thanks for any input! :)

When is your cruise? We have a kind of similar situation and when I asked this type of question I was berated by many on these boards. I am pleasantly surprised at how nice the people have been in their replies. Our situation is that we booked an owner’s suite with a connecting penthouse suite, on a Jewel class ship. Only the owner’s suite has haven access. We have a friend staying solo in the connecting penthouse, and we want her to have access to the Haven with us. Everyone on here shot us down, but I plan to ask the concierge. If our cruise is before yours I will let you know how it turned out. Our cruise is next month.

  3. Yes. Last cabin starboard. Ten ft from courtyard door entrance. Very quite! Used all the amenities of the haven, but it was deffinitly called a suite, not a haven suite. Those cabins were more forward of the courtyard. Two in particular were up a short flight of stairs, just across from the ele.

If you had a suite in the Haven, you were in a Haven suite. That’s why you got the Haven perks, aka use of the Haven area. Suites outside the Haven (except the Owner’s suites) do not have access to the Haven area on the Pearl.

  4. Sorry to disagree; we used victor bodden tours and didn’t enjoy the tour at all. Roatan has ended up being our second to least favorite port in the Caribbean (Nassau was worse).

I agree with you 100%! I have been to Roatan one time, on a Bodden tour. It was bleh. Not terrible, but not great. We just did not enjoy the island of Roatan. In fact, we do not plan on getting off the ship in Roatan for our upcoming cruise.

I also find Nassau to be the WORST port, hands down.

  5. March and April have always been great for us out of NOLA......much better than when we went in December one year. We love going out of NOLA....especially since we can drive to the port but the prices keep creeping up. It’s actually cheaper for us to fly to Tampa and go to the same ports this year than it was to drive and leave out of NOLA.

New Orleans is great, you need to try out a couple of of the many great restaurants she has to offer.
