  1. I can’t believe no one has mentioned the Rangers game yet. There had to be a lot of celebrating when Kreider got his third period hat trick to come from behind against the Canes.
  2. We will be cruising for our 44th wedding anniversary this summer, and it will be on the actual date. It wasn’t as if we were planning it that way, because we are taking grandkids along. It will also be the anniversary of our first cruise.
  3. You youngster, you! My 50 year college reunion is this year. My wife will have her 50 year high school reunion next year too. She will be matching ages with you and John when she has her birthday next month.
  4. @Sea Dog Happy Birthday Greg. Having a kraken in your honor right now. Or maybe it is because I need one tonight. Have a great birthday celebration.
  5. Or you could arrive back after scheduled departure. I can’t believe it has been 10 years since we did Panama Canal on Coral, but we did the remaining locks by ferry boat. It gives you a much different perspective of the locks, vs being high up on the cruise ship. If you are interested in what it is like, I covered it on page 2 of this review. I would suggest you move around the ship as you go through the locks to Gatun lake.
  6. Agree that the patent will be owned by the company, although it will list the individuals on the patent application. My son is listed as inventor on several patents his company holds, and he was a patent agent before climbing up the corporate ladder. It would be highly unusual for the NW to hold any rights to it.
  7. I haven’t been on for a couple of days. Took everyone to Shakespeare’s Castle for Mother’s Day. My granddaughter had a goal to beat the number of deserts she ate the last time we were there, but she fell short with only four. They had reservations for 1,300 people, so it was busy. Susan is away to have a get together with her four sisters, so I have been playing bachelor for a couple days. So much for having some relaxing time to myself. Too many things to get done t our house, as well as at my daughter’s house. Then, as an unexpected bonus, I got to take my grandson out to dinner last night, and tonight I get to take my granddaughter out. If I were to guess, she will probably choose Thai for supper. She loves it, and it usually is not a top pick for her mom or dad. Loving all those Japan and cruise pictures.
  8. I like how the first thing listed on Costco is this. Warning: Not for Human or Animal Consumption I wonder how many were eaten to warrant the warning?
  9. John, it is like you two are living in our heads. That is exactly what we do. We are at that point in life where we try to not accumulate “things”. So it is just cruises, or vacations, or things we need.
  10. Clouds cleared out, so it was nice and clear. When it started, you could see some stars too. Then more colors
  11. Just in case no one saw it, there is a geomagnetic storm that may let some of us in the north see the Northern lights. They may be visible tonight and tomorrow night. Hoping for the clouds to clear out. They say that they are visible in Europe and UK now, since it is already dark there.
  12. Nothing wrong with rotisserie chicken. We get a couple of them every week. They have been great to use for our low calorie casseroles. They have helped me drop 35 pounds and keep it off.
  13. That is why I am glad we put a gazebo over our hot tub. With that, and the curtains, it keeps all that out of that area. Using it is our morning ritual. Nothing like starting the day with a soak in the hot tub while catching up on the news. Always there from 6am to 7 am.
  14. Not catkins, but cat news. Ricky got his blood test results today. His numbers were up by 1, which is a good sign. Now it will be to reduce steroids to every other day, and check his blood again in two weeks. Hope he keeps the numbers up.
  15. Here I am, salivating over that WJ food that @Ourusualbeach is posting from Exploria. Meanwhile, I am tackling those horrible home chores like picking up catkins. Yes, that dumpster is filled with those now, and that was just what fell since Monday after I mowed. And, I only did half the yard before the rain got here. It is one of the main reasons we can’t really use our deck until after Memorial Day. I love the shade from those large oaks, but hate these every spring.
  16. ouch! Sorry to read this. At least it looks like she was able to continue on the cruise, and not have to deal with getting back from St. Thomas.
  17. Today was grandparent luncheon day at our granddaughter’s school. We brought in toasted subs from our favorite sub shop. Much better than eating school cafeteria food. The school did this every year, but then stopped in 2020 due to the pandemic. This was the first restart since then. We went before then with our grandson, but this was the first with our granddaughter. Yeah, we snuck in a cherry coke for her too. Tonight, it was packing 142 bags of food for kids to take home for the weekend. Only two more weeks of packing before school is out.
  18. At the vet with Ricky this morning. Another blood test. He gave me the “You are not going to trick me into the carrier” look. Yes I am.
  19. Glad everything is ok with you. No damage at your place? Tornadoes can be strange creatures. We have had a few touch down in our area, but they are rare. First I remember was in 1985, and the only damage we had was hail damage to two of or cars. So, like responsible young adults, we took the insurance money and flew to Hawaii for a couple weeks. Some other tornadoes, I worked on a damage assessment team to review structural damage to assess if repairable or destroyed.
