Same for us. Cool and overcast, and no sunrise. Waves crashing at the beach. IMG_0273.mp4 The pool and spa heater quit working overnight, so now we have to run it in service mode, and manually switch between the pool and spa. Kids said the pool was getting a little cool. And Daryl? Somehow, he has evidently ended up in the hospital.

Another beautiful sunrise this morning at the beach. @HBE4 if you are looking for a retirement home, this is one for sale in the area we are staying. It looks like there is enough room that we could come and stay with you during the winter. Only $16,000,000 and taxes of $200k a year. https://www.redfin.com/FL/Pompano-Beach/2004-Bay-Dr-33062/home/41518952

Here at the beach house we rented, we have free Disney+, and free Netflix, courtesy of a couple families that evidently rented before our stay. Just a friendly reminder to anyone who logs in to their streaming service at a rental, or at a hotel. Don’t forget to log out of the service before you leave. I am always reminding Susan to log out, everywhere we go.

Nassau was a last minute port change for us, due to heavy rain and flooding in Labadee. Since we have been to Nassau many times before, we debated on staying on the ship, but then decided to get off and do our own walking tour. So no, it wasn’t a ship excursion. We started off by walking up to Junkanoo Beach, and we made stops at the British Colonial for a quick picture, then stopped at Margaritaville Resort to check their day pass prices. We have that in mind when we bring the family here in August. For the rest of the walking tour, I used the app GPS My City They have a couple of walking tours with maps. We used mainly the City Introduction walk You may see some of the same things on a ship, or private tour, because we saw several busses and taxis at many of these stops. Sine we like to walk a lot, it was no problem for us, but there were areas where the sidewalks were poor, or some with no sidewalks. I really like the improvements they have made to the Nassau port. Have fun planning, whatever you do.

I found this interesting the other day. So now, I have told everyone that on New Year’s Eve, they have to…….. 1. Eat 12 grapes at the stroke of midnight. 2. Say Rabbit, Rabbit, white Rabbit. 3. Then say Happy New Year. Taking no chances on wishes and good luck for the new year! Of course, since Susan is allergic to grapes, does that mean I have to eat her 12 for her? If so, I might feel like Joey Chestnut in a hot dog contest.

Part of our home, away from home until our January cruise I am thinking of using this area for our family photo. Or Tiki bar. Or both😁 Nice, secluded beach access Beach was not crowded this morning. Even found a lighthouse for OB And, Daryl was trying to wave down his largest inflatable friend. But he just flew on by, and over the lighthouse. Good thing, because we wouldn’t have room for that one in the pool.

Our family all arrived safely for pat 2 of our vacation. Son and his family came in on the red eye from SFO, so they are catching up on sleep. Daughter and her family are enjoying a couple days at Disney before joining us. Meanwhile, we are enjoying sunny, warm weather, and being the only ones in the hot tub.
