For basic issues I've called the general customer service line and been told my CVP would see any changes or questions we discussed as he is assigned to us. If it's something minor I don't want to waste his time. Also he is in a different time zone as me so sometimes it's easier to just call the general line.

Granted we are lowly beer drinkers 😊 but during the day while we're out and about on the ship we stop at a few bars and use our handy blue Princess tote bag to take them back to cabin fridge for later consumption. Sail away on our balcony with drinks is one of our favorite cruising activities. It's nice to come back to a cold beer on the balcony after a day in port.

Thanks for sharing that article! We started sailing on Princess from Galveston back in 2005 when the Grand was fairly new. Would love more options from there with varied itineraries. These 2 comments stood out to me from the article. First that Princess is old-school. So many people are complaining about changes to the Princess product (not me). Also the part about another ship joining the Ruby -- we already have the Regal booked for January.

This is the same thing we've been told. I've booked online but CVP still gets credit since he's assigned to us.

We're looking forward to it! We were scheduled on the same cruise initially in 2020, then 2021, and 2022. Of course 2020 & 2021 were cancelled, and we opted to push back 2022 to 2023 to do the original itinerary with Paris & Aarhus. I read some of your reviews which were helpful in our excursion planning. Thanks! 😊

My comment was more in response to Billco saying the same people post the same things over & over. A joke, hence the 😁

The website is still showing this as of this morning. It's the 12 night Oktoberfest European Capitols from Southampton 9/22/23 on the Island. We have a mini-suite booked with Plus package. That's the pricing I've been trying to check.

Not sure if this problem is related to the ongoing discussion here, but for the past week this is the screen I get when trying to check prices on our upcoming September European cruise. What the heck is '$undefined' but yet you can have Princess select your room?

I think you misunderstood my comment. I was referring to the champagne waterfall photo op for which people like to get their picture taken with cruise staff. Nobody said the passengers standing around watching were staged 😆

My thoughts exactly -- this is a photo op for which people dress up. If this is the entirety of the formal dress passengers then that's not a huge contingent.

This! When I put in 2 passengers it says everything is guaranty only. But when I put in 3 passengers then I can select any cabin I want. I've noticed this for quite some time and our PVP said it was a glitch. They should fix it! So annoying!

No matter what people say you are not required to go to a formal venue for meals. The 'formal' designation is only applicable in the MDR. You can eat in a multitude of other venues if you so chose. You're free to walk about the ship in normal, non-formal attire even on 'formal' night.

Here is the official answer from the Princess website bidding FAQs:

Our credit card provider reimburses us for this so for us it's free. No brainer. You might check your credit card benefits and see if yours provides it too.

We took a tour with them in January 2020 right before the covid shutdown. I agree with others that you should contact them directly. While still an enjoyable trip, it was a little rough when we went out. Also as others have said there are steps to get on/off the boat and restroom. Our excursion group walked from the ship to the catamaran dock as well, which was a ways in the late afternoon heat. If you were to ride the scooter there I'm not sure where you could securely leave it. Best to ask them directly.

We have always done the pub lunch too and have seen 'prawns and chips' on the menu several times. But that was several years ago now, so maybe they stopped offering that. We still look forward to fish and chips, and mushy peas at sea 🙂

Another vote for the Dirty Banana! We recently took a NCL cruise to Hawaii and they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they could make a Dirty Banana 🙂 I will get my fill on our upcoming Princess cruise!

Mine is the same way. Still shows total OBC even though it's been applied to excursions.
