  1. Its the war, I suspect that it is a Carnival thing and that their insurers are not happy about any Baltic cruiswes at this time.
  2. We are effected as well but we have just asked our TA to cook the replacementcruise wherever it goes. As it happens she read out the itinerary for the replacement and it sounded quite good.
  3. No just 4 correct answers. If you are confident you do not have COVID, meaning you have tested yourself then I have no problem in answering No to all questions.
  4. The chef in Sindhu on the cruise we came off on Sunday had to go home due to family issues. The glass house was open but only in the evening
  5. Just an observation booking now for next summer is not early. We booked early for our Oct 24 cruise on day one of of the booking period. Booking now is what I call in the middle and could be the most expensive. Normally booking as we do gets the best price but at the moment for some cruises booking very late can get you a good deal. However there are no guarantees either way.
  6. Yes we generally do away with the hassle of breakfast and therefore only have one lift to catch. Dai
  7. I think the OP is asking about the Peninsular lunch in the middle of the cruise not the one on the day of boarding. The Peninsular lunch is by ticket only of course.
  8. Not true as there is no time limit on a booster.
  9. They generally direct you to your muster station before the lunch. Much easier now.
  10. John, this has been an issue for many years. In a standard cabin you cannot have a mobility scooter of any type.
  11. Again read what i wrote. I said i had not read any post which claimed that they had got awsy with a folding scooter. I never accused you of trying to do so. You asked if it is possible as many have before. It is no.
  12. John no folding powered wheelchairs are permitted in any cabin as long as they fit in the door Dai
  13. Sorry i dont visit often. You cannot take any scooter into a standard cabin. Only a suite or an adapted cabin. Foldable wheelchairs are different, manual or moterised can go in any cabin.
  14. You would still be restricted to a suite or adaptef cabin.
  15. Perhaps you should read my post carefully as well as i was answering what Sue posted.
  16. So true, we cruise in March and October most years on a family ship. The passengers are just as old as they have always been on P&O very few younger cruisers at that time of the year. I am sure that Iona next year will be full of existing cruisers with very few younger ones. Without the older generation cruising in the winter there would be no P&O
  17. The main problem with speciality restaurants on Iona is that she does so many short cruises and the demand far outweighs supply. We are cruising on her for 14 nights and i expect the demand not to be as great.
  18. Sue if you try to board there are people at the door looking for scooters and you have to register with them’. They can stop you boarding with your folding scooter unless you leave it. As I said before this is not a new problem. This has been going on for 10 years or more. I have not seen any post about anyone “getting away with it” You say you would wheel it to the gangway. Many or most would not and this is why the ban. Some people have also said it is a way to restrict the numbers of scooters on board but I have never seen this confirmed. I have used my scooters on board for over 15 years which is why I always book on day one of the bookings.
  19. Unfortunatly a folding scooter is just classed as a scooter with the same rules. This has been the case for 8+ years.
  20. Note a friend is reporting that the Epicurean on Ventura is back open and of today.
  21. Yes both fine. I got out of the habit where there was no cruising. I dip in and out, mostly out.
  22. Not sure about the lounge as we have not been in a suite since last Oct. The Epicurean is certainly open for suite breakfasts. Dai
  23. The Epicurean is open for suite breakfast. I is not open at the moment for dinners. I understand the problem is the Chefs. A world wide problem. My understanding is that then are working to fix it. I read today that Britannia has reopened all speciality restaurants.
