Please read my post one more time. I said we do not care even a little bit what others wear. So, I would appreciate you not putting words in my mouth that are simply untrue. For some reason you get very upset and defensive when someone chooses to wear nice clothes or even attempt to look good and God forbid we should say that we do. You want everyone to look like you. You are far more judgmental than I will ever be. I do not care how you look or how you dress. If you’re happy with what you see in the mirror, then more power to you.

Sorry, but I have to disagree on one point. My DH and I don’t dress nicely to please the “formalist crowd” or anyone else. We like to look good for ourselves and each other. We look good going to Home Depot! Some of us take pride in how we look and how we present ourselves to others. Some people don’t care if they look good, so they don’t even try. It doesn’t bother us even a tiny little bit how other people dress. What is nice though, is when we walk into the MDR, we always get smiles and compliments. Totally worth the effort! And, the way my DH looks at me is with a million bucks!

It’s so easy. If you enjoy looking nice and feel good about it and your significant other enjoys the same then go for it. If you don’t care what you look like and neither does your significant other, then trust me nobody else cares either. It’s all a matter of what makes you feel good. Enjoy your cruise.

Yes, we have to do some research before booking flights. In the spring we checked Air Canada to the UK and EZAir. For some reason EZAir came out $1000.00+ more than booking direct with AC and it remained that way right up to 45 days prior. You have to be on top of things and never take anything for granted. EZAir is not always the best option.

We didn’t want the clip that comes with the package. We ordered a bracelet for myself and a key fob for DH. We receive free shipping to Canada. We could have waited to pick them up at the pier, but we want to board asap to book The Sanctuary and I believe boarding is expedited if you already have the Medallion. We shall see.

A little homework prior to their cruise would have probably shown them that the package, whether Plus or Premier, was not a good option for them. I’ve never felt that I had to get my money’s worth and indulge In something I don’t want. The packages are not for everyone and the onus is on us to make sure it’s a good choice.

My DH and I don’t eat meat, but we do eat fish and seafood - Pescatarians. There are many items listed that I would really enjoy, my DH not so much. Good for Princess!

Please seek out the numerous threads and hundreds of posts dealing with this often contentious topic. Then judge for yourself and do what makes you happy. Enjoy your cruise.

I changed ours yesterday and order now shows shipping to our home address. I was concerned because I ordered the bracelet for myself and the key fob for DH, but it worked out fine. We really want to have it prior to check in at the pier so we can get on the ship ASAP to make Sanctuary reservations.

I don’t think many people blindly purchase the packages without really thinking about what they want, what they need and what they can afford. I doubt if many people over estimate their probable consumption and in the end lose a portion of the package they paid for. I give much more credit to our fellow cruisers. I’m willing to bet most people come out on top and, at the very least, some will break even. My DH and I have upgraded our future cruises to Premier because we like having our choice of beverages and not be concerned if we’re over or under the minimum price range. We will utilize the SD, the wifi and some other offerings and the current price is not an issue for us. However, should the price of the packages become ridiculously high, then we’ll have to rethink it’s necessity. I believe most people will do the same.

We also like the idea of not having to think about anything, although the alcohol upgrade will be extremely appreciated.

As of this minute, the Princess website still shows $60.00 per day per person for plus. Where did you get this flyer from?

The app is not always user friendly, for sure. Glad you were able to make your reservations.

Booked our specialty dining on Enchanted for 2024 on the app with no problem. Go to DMW and click on Add Reservation. Choose the day you want and then scroll to time. Then choose which restaurant you want. Confirm reservation. You will be presented with the bill and how you wish to pay. Done!

True, but the majority of people were upset about receiving no prior notice months, weeks and even days before their sailing. The extra cost was incidental. Most felt that it should have been grandfathered and not just suddenly appearing on all future sailings.

Yes, that announcement was heatedly discussed here at CC for quite some time. Not one member was pleased. I’m sure the impact onboard is extremely negative.
