  1. I usually don't but have been this season. I liked how they did the new double elimination this last week. It really shook things up.
  2. Before I graduated from college I had planned to switch from accounting to computers and got excepted to work on my Masters at Texas Tech. Early April I was offered a job I had no intention taking (another story how that happened) . I was still thinking Masters program but DW suggested to try working a year or two, you can always go back to school. 35 years later I retired. Ended up being a great blessing. Several Co-workers still close friends.
  3. The biggest mistake we made in Skagway! We got a Doughboy and shared it. I will never share one again......... To make things clear, those things are great! So great that if we share one the next time it will be after we each had one on our own! πŸ˜†
  4. Happy to see you and Eric made it on safely. I am glad to see you are sharing the adventure with us. Now I know this is going to sound like a thing a retired guy should know by now but what is a Kraken floater?
  5. I am at 5 years. Time flies. I have never had a desire to go back. I can understand that some personalities can not handle being away from a work environment. Not me. I love not having to plan around work. About a month ago I had a dream I was still working. It was sooo real. It reaffirmed I am thankful to be retired!
  6. We were discussing responses to when people ask us how we like retirement. @taznremmy answered "When people ask me, I tell them it is the best job I have ever had. 😁" . When some head to work they say they are going to the office. Now that she is cruising while retired she can say that her new office is a cruise ship. πŸ˜† How's that.
  7. I find when people ask how my retirement is going some want a negative response πŸ™„ so this is my response...... You know, they say retirement is a great thing..... (pause...).... It's a whole lot better than that! Those that laugh I know are happy I am enjoying retirement. A couple you can tell are not.
  8. I think you would do great. It looks like you got the pics down and it looks like you visit cool places instead of just walking around the port. Maybe you can try one when we get together and I can throw some stuff on too. It's fun sharing the pics and shore fun. The people on this thread are very supportive. It can take some time but to me enjoyable. Before the free drinks with D my goto drink was water. Since the start up I haven't been on the zipline, the wall or the flowrider although I need to get back to the flowrider. Think about it.
  9. I need to do some research on this place. My only concern is I am allergic to cats so it could get my asthma kicked up. You do a good job presenting. Do you ever do live reviews?
  10. Me too. Southwest did that when we got stranded in Miami last year. I knew that they were canceling the flight because of a pilot shortage. When I asked why it was canceled the problems., with her head down said, weather and satellite probems. I answered, wow, you were able to say that with a straight face! She whispered, I hate having to
  11. I love the Monin stuff. I bought a case (4 bottles) of the peach last week. What I like about the puree is that you can leave it out on the counter. Once you open the smoothie mix it needs to be refrigerated. Monin is used around the world. I got a smoothie once at a bus terminal in Phnom Penh and they were using Monin puree. I discovered it a Lakeside several years ago. My Vitamix came with a stick that stays above the blades so if you need to push stuff down you will not hit the blades. That is nice when I want to make one that has no extra water in it. Do you had lime juice to your Daiquiri drinks?
  12. And after it blends for 2 seconds how large are the ice cubes. πŸ˜† I have noticed that if you lack enough liquid it can be a challenge. Just an oz or 2 can make a difference but as many as they make each day they should have that down. I bet they use the programmed blenders.
  13. I usually get them that way too..... but sometimes I forget to ask for them that way. πŸ€” I used to live on Miami Vice until I tried peach. I just made me and Sharon a Peach one. I use Monin Peach puree. They also have the smoothie syrup but I prefer the puree. Making them has helped me keep my weight down. I used to drink a milkshake about every night before I started making these. When I got one on Ovation by the pool there were chunks of ice in it. I took it back and the bartender said it is like that because of the size of ice they are using. πŸ˜† I explained to him I make them all the time and all you have to do is blend it a little longer. It fixed the problem. πŸ˜†
  14. Not sure what we will do. Still have are minds on October Allure. In Cozumel we usually go to Nachi Cocom. Nice limited beach. We have been to Costa Maya but it was because of a port change so all we did was roam around the port for awhile. We will probably venture out this time. We have never been to Roatan. DW's bother spent a month there so I am sure he will have good advice. Each year he goes somewhere for awhile and does a history YouTube on it. He's a history teacher.
  15. We can. 1/22. I was wondering how long it would take for you to notice. πŸ˜† I thought about surprising you but some things are just to hard to hide. Not much going on on our 1/22 cruise page.
  16. I am a Big Oasis class fan but I have never noticed that type room. How is it listed on RC website? Is it under balcony, suite or something else. I would bet having 3 booked at one time is more than the majority has booked here. We just booked Allure out of Galveston for January. We usually don't have more than 2 booked at a time but we usually don't book that far out. Might change when they announce Icon of the Seas and/or also reveal other itineraries this fall. This next release I am hoping to find some good deals on suites. Royal UP has spoiled me.
  17. I looked up our plank from Symphony last October. I liked it. I didn't really care for the rest. The others enjoyed Jamie's on Symphony but not as much on Harmony. That is why we were considering skipping Giovanni’s Thanks for the suggestion on DW grabbing cereal from the Windjammer. Adding another note to the list. That Solarium pool looks way to crowded for me.
  18. Although I have been on Allure before it's been awhile so your review has given me a heads up on a few things. I would bet there are many who are boarding in the next few months that are benefiting from your review so thanks.
  19. OK #TEAM Wipeoutcafe, let me ask a couple questions since you almost have me convinced to try breakfast there. What is the weather like while eating breakfast and the DW likes cereal for breakfast, have you noticed any available at Wipeout?
