  1. A little entertainment in the Aquatheater earlier today. A1_145256.mp4
  2. Hear are pics of our OVB accessible room. Thanks Ken! Just scan your card outside the door and it pops open. View off the balcony from inside. I haven't tried it yet but I saw another ride out on her wheelchair. We were left some treats!
  3. We got here at 11am and did not have to wait in line for a regular room. Walked into the lobby and went to the right for the elevator. When we got up it was not busy. And we went down the ramp to the ship.
  4. So I take it my jokes are apparent that they are dad jokes. While telling my jokes from my wheelchair I have had a couple people say, you are so funny! You should become a stand up comedian! I laughed and said, that's good. Maybe not a stand up comedian but maybe a roll up comedian! 😆
  5. And the finish. BTW, the Filet mignon was sooooo good!
  6. Almost at port! Maybe. 😆 I heard there was a marathon run this morning.
  7. Are they letting people board yet? I hope it's easy to find an elevator
  8. We made it to the hotel room a little while ago! Sore but I feel like my energy will be good tomorrow. Thankful all went well.
  9. Made it to the airport and and waiting at the Gate to board SW. We are scheduled to fly out in about 1h 15m.
  10. I like to hear Ocean sounds on a cruise ship! 😆
  11. On the road again Just can't wait to get on a ship again The life I love is makin' cruising with my friends And I can't wait to get on a ship again. Leaving Huntsville and headed to Nashville to fly out of BNA at 6:35. Direct flight ✈️ . Lord willing and the flight goes well, see ya soon Miami!
  12. Good to see you join in OB! No Light House pics yet, we are still in Alabama.🤣 Maybe sometime after boarding!
  13. I was looking for the sun all night last night..... and then it dawned on me!
  14. This is from a person that cruised Icon earlier in the week. She was in a wheelchair. "The elevator works fine, and after you get used to it, I think it is better than the old style. They even have it set to work for blind individuals." This is from someone currently on Icon. "The new elevators are fantastic. No more throngs of people pushing their way into each elevator then stopping at every floor. The most stops I have made is 2. Waiting an extra minute or two to get an elevator that then makes few stops is definitely a plus."
  15. WOW! That is so special. From the videos and from others on now, I think we will love it! Thanks again for sharing.
  16. On a scooter yes. Not even sure you could turn around in an elevator on a scooter. From actual experience, it is much easier to spin around in an elevator and much quicker than trying to back in. The electric wheelchair does a very tight 360. One tight spin and you are turned around. If I remember maybe I will have the opportunity to video the experience and post it here. It happens so quickly I will have to plan it before the doors open.
  17. I will surely check this out. I just noticed a great review on an Icon Accessible room posted here in the RC section. They were on the same deck. I loved seeing that she could go out on the balcony with the wheelchair and into the bathroom. Something I couldn't do on Voyager last October. It was also nice to see she rented the same wheelchair I am renting , Whill Ci2.
  18. Thank you so much for taking the time to video this and post it! We will be boarding this Saturday and will have an Accessible Balcony Room on Deck 12. I rented the same wheelchair. Last October out of Galveston I tried to rent the Whill Ci2 but without notice they subbed a Jazzy. I love seeing you able to get out on the balcony and into the bathroom. I love the size of Accessible Rooms. On our Live Review some are wondering about wheelchair accessibility. One asked about the ADA symbol on the elevator pad. How was your experience with the new elevator system. Feel welcome to post on the live.
  19. I will be renting a wheelchair this cruise so I will try to remember to post here my experience on the elevators and other places. Usually the 1st and last day is a challenge. On Voyager last October I only ran over toes twice when spinning around in the elevator. 😆
  20. I am happy to see a plug next to the bed. Means I won't have to hang a cord across the ceiling to be able to plug in my Trilogy (CPAP)!
  21. would that be a good sail away area for us all to meet at?
