We visited Pearl Harbour yesterday. It was a sobering visit. I am glad we got to visit. Before we boarded the transport boat we could see the USS Missouri with a Lighthouse in the distance. Here are pics at the memorial. As we were leaving I caught a close up of the USS Missouri.

We were at Lei Day celebration too! We first went to Pearl Harbour a then arrived at Lei Day towards the end. When we first got there we got some bacon wrapped shrimp and teriyaki beef skewers. We took them over to eat where Helen took the stage pic. We just missed each other! After we sat down they had some good entertainment. He was singing How Great Thou Art. 20230501_125501.mp4 Going to 😴. I will be catching up all week. BTW, we stopped by Duke's again and got more pie!

Yes, that is a side of Mac n cheese with the ribs. Funny thing is I didn't notice it until you mentioned it. Yes, it is common in the US restaurants that serve American food to serve Mac and cheese. Often Sharon will order Mac n cheese as a side when we are sharing a main meal. She did that when we ate in California the other day.

I've been considering sous vide ribs but haven't tried it yet. Looks great.

Some food pics. Not the best angles. We ate at Duke's last night. After eating the waiter asked if we wanted dessert . Hula pie I think. The waiter asked how many and we said 4. Waiter..... WHAT! He then said, let me bring one out first and then you can order more. We had a hard time eating 2. Hard to see the size of the from the pics. The food and pie was good.

I am sure you got the notice from RC but if not..... They are saying they want all to board by 6pm now and everyone onboard by 6:30pm.

I just found their live. We are on different ships. They are on Quantum and we are on Ovation. I believe the itineraries will be about the same so we don't need to repeat it all especially cruising just a couple days behind. Thanks for the heads up.

From yesterday. Picks of our room. We were able to upgrade and are next to our friends and a closer tower.

We met up with @FromSea2ShiningSea Helen and Marty. It was great. I can see us enjoying hanging out on the cruise together. Earlier I noticed it ask by @h20skibum if any of us will do a live. There is a very very slim chance. With the challenge I am dealing with I know I would not be able to keep it going as I have in the past. If we get one going it will be a group effort starting the 1st cruise day. Some will not have the wifi package but will be able to use cellular around the islands. I think once we get to the at sea days I could start catching up from the solarium. I will let all y'all 😎know what the gang decides.

Not sure why but it ended up being 5 hours and 15 minutes but still long. Due to needing a Rollator they let us board early. We got seated in the 2nd row. Although there were only two empty seats on this flight, one of the empty seats was in our group of 3 seats. It was nice to have a place to stretch our legs out. we chose the second row instead of the first so we could keep our carry-ons with us under the seats in front of us. I am glad we broke it up instead of a long direct flight.

We are at LAX waiting to board. Long flight, 6 hours. We ate at Bubba Gump Gump yesterday.

We made it safely to LA. I was sitting in an isle seat so this is about all I could catch. @Ocean Boy this is where our zoom comes in handy!

Our 3 kids and their families all went with us in January. Expensive yes! I think, hope, it will be awhile until we all go again. We had annual passes but did not renew them about 2 years ago. Now there is no option to get them. It was neat to have them during the restart with very few people there. Our cruise friends are still renewing them. They go several times a year.

Just landed in El Paso. I didn't know it was a desert area. To much to keep up. Big world.

Great memories. Alaska was a favorite cruise.

This got me thinking. My new MacBook Pro has 3 Thunderbolt 4 (USB-3) ports. I was trying to find how to transfer photos from my Samsung S21 to the MacBook. To do it with a usb-3 cord you need an app. From what I've read the free apps are buggy. Then I remembered I got a file transfer device to easily transfer from my 360 camera to the phone. The transfer device has a USB-3 connection. I just figured out I can use it to move photos from my phone to my MacBook!

I'm glad I looked ahead before downloading and converting.

Wouldn't that be nice. For now I guess I will just need to rely on that electronic blanket. I don't think I could sleep in the Snuggie that my DD got me.

I just noticed a hole is forming in the blue jeans I am wearing. I thought, might be time to throw them out. 🤔 Then I thought, now that a hole is forming I might be able to get a couple hundred bucks for them! 😆
