  1. Great example of the squeeze. I thought it was funny when the road sign would say to give the right away to the approaching car when the road was sometimes even more narrow and a U shaped curve. You could not see if there was an approaching car. Good thing in this pic is that they are locals that know how to handle it.
  2. I know these are not highlight Hawaii pics but I wanted to share how calm it is right now. Very smooth water, we are barely moving and the sun feels so good. Very relaxing. 9 night cruises are good for me. Although I loved the cruise I am ready to get home to the kids and grandkids..... and my own bed!
  3. Thanks, Samsung owners can handle it. 😆 There were very strong wind gust at times. As I was stepping out at the last stop I felt like I was lifted up and dropped a foot over.
  4. There is more pics and vids coming. I need time and internet at the same time 😆 The roads get crazy the further you go. We considered renting a car but heard and believe the driver would not get to enjoy the sights as much...... and stay on the road. I will post a fee more stops later. If unable today maybe at layovers or after I am home.
  5. After leaving the last island we had one more warm day. It's been cold since then. Today not as bad. Not bad in the Solarium and the section next to the Solarium. The open area is cold. I think the wind makes it feel colder.
  6. One pic said we were in Haiku. Other pics had no location. Cell service was bad on this trip. And another attempt to load a video. If it works notice how the wind was blowing. X 20230503_110815.mp4
  7. 😆 We found a spot in the Solarium where the internet was working well. After my first post a crew member told us they were having a private party and we needed to leave. We moved outside of the Solarium and I couldn't get connected. We just got back to the room and found a letter that we were invited to the private party! 😆
  8. There were several stops along the way. Here we saw Rainbow Eucalyptus trees. I don't know where we were at each stop but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the view. Flowing water through the mountains will get better but until you know, take pics.
  9. It was good on the way there. As the day goes on I have a harder time so about the 8th hour I turned sideways in my seat and laid back in Sharon's lap and she held me in the seat. We made another stop. Then bus driver advised me to not go down the step walkway. I didn't...... for a few minutes and then thought, I got to get some good pics for my CC friends! Off I went. It was the wisest move. Although it was a steep walk back, it renewed my energy and I was good the rest of the way back. After my last post I lost internet AGAIN! I have much more to post of the trip. It may take awhile but I will keep trying.
  10. May 3, Road to Hana. This is the map outlining the trip. It was long. We started around 8am and ended at 7pm. Even though it is a one and done for us, it was well worth it. As we started I was enjoying the nice view. Little did I know that the first views were nothing compared to what will come later. Early on we were able to check one off of our bucket list.... stop at a grocery store on the way to Hana! 😆 we had several restroom stops time perfectly. I roads quickly turned curvy and narrow. Much more than these pics.
  11. @ReneeFLL I took your advice, Don't ever give up. The first day I got a Peach Daiquiri and it was not good. It taste very bland with a touch of lime. I tried it again at the pool bar, bad. Sharon noticed they were pouring the mix out of a plastic bottle. I thought no more until yesterday at the DL. @brillohead Debbie had sent me a pic of the Sunsational Peach mix. 🍑 I asked if they are using the good mix. They just started back using it! We enjoyed some snacks while we were there.
  12. Once we get to Vancouver, Ovation will be doing Alaska until probably around October when it will cruise back to Hawaii on it's way back to Australia. I don't know if it's sold out for the Alaska cruises.
