Miracle...our friend is already booked in a balcony with her two kids she is just wanting to add a third kid...she is paid in full.....can she still alter the booking or would she need to cancel current booking and add the 3rd child to a new booking? Is there any chance two rooms would be cheaper? TIA
Are we talking Spring Break? You can run a mock booking to see how the prices are. She can call to ask about adding another, again, it could be capacity controlled, especially if it's March or April.

What ship? If it's not allowing you to book it, it could be capacity controlled.

Yeah, I saw that posted by a couple states. Mine are 195-100 and lot number is not in this list. Thanks for posting, I'm hoping mine will be okay.
What is your lot number, maybe you were on the old letter, this is new this year.

I cruised out of Charleston on the 13th. We had rough waters with lots of whitecaps going down to the Bahamas and coming back. We had lots of sea sick people looking for Dramamine. I do not have a problem with sea sickness but I did have to take a Dramamine on both days.
Yes, this. It will likely be rougher out of Charleston than the Florida ports.

Florida ports are generally fine.

I can't speak for Princess, but, in Port Canaveral for a Royal cruise, the scooters are picked up at the terminal and driven onto the ship by the passenger. I hope that helps. Check with your rental company, I used Scootaround.

If you like tequila ask for a Fiery Tropical Martini at Alchemy. Not on menu but very tasty with a bit of mango heat. My DH orders the Caribbean Manhattan also not on Alchemy menu. !!
Hmm, I wonder if the AB can make me a Tropical Cable Car? I don't even remember what's in it, but, I had it on HAL to Alaska and loved it!
Edited to say, here is the recipe from HAL, yum!
Ingredients:
1 ounce Captain Morgan
1 ounce Malibu Rum
1 ounce house-made sour
1 ounce pineapple juice
Dash Angostura Bitters
1/8th Grapefruit wedgeMix ingredients together with ice and pour into a martini glass.

Where are you leaving from? Pretty big difference between NYC/Boston, Charleston/Eastcoast FL this time of year.
Thank you! I thought I was the crazy one. Ten people gave answers without knowing where the cruise was?

There's a few recent reviews if you search this forum. People that went in December.

I see the new email from Carnival today saying they are expanding their pre-cruise testing capacity at terminals, especially for short, 3-4 day cruisers ($10). I have 4 test kits left, same ones we used 12/24. Our son's school nurse sent out an email saying they extended the expiration date 3 months, in addition to the previous 3 month extension. I have not been able to verify that from Abbott. The extra 3 months will make mine kits usable for 3/26.
We tested fine in Dec. and hope to pass muster in March.

Trinityreservations.com has two hotels with a park and cruise, shuttle option. I;ve stayed at BW Elkridge before, it was perfect.

I like the idea of a hotel providing transportation to the cruise terminal for someone who does not stay at the hotel, but just stops by after dropping off a rental car - but I find the notion to be a bit more than just slightly unlikely.
My guess is if they did, it would be a per person charge. The OP has at least two people traveling, so, probably more expensive than Uber.
-
You could download Uber and use it in your hometown to see how it works. I have used it many times and always felt safe, even when there was a language barrier with the driver. They give you the model , color and license plate of the car, make sure everything matches before you get in. After the ride, you rate the driver and give the tip, it is completely cashless.
-
I have also used Trinity, in 2016, out of Baltimore, stayed at BW Elkridge. Everything was perfect. I'm here now debating using them again versus driving myself to the port in March.

Seriously enjoying your review.
So - were the people who took the taxi in St Kitts allowed to reboard the ship?
M
Yes, it was a St Kitts government tour. I've got turd Internet for hours now. I promise I'll catch up. Here's a little quiz for you guys. One person got kicked off the ship in St Kitts and one person signed up for a third week onboard. Guess which one is your girl? 🤔

Wednesday was Antigua . We found out on Thursday, 3 days before sailing that we weren’t going to Antigua, but St Kitts instead and we had to wait for them to open the Cruise Planner for St Kitts, which does not allow you ashore without a shore excursion. I scrambled to book an excursion that allowed for limited mobility and booked a House Tour and Rum Tasting, 7 shots of rum.
Spoiler alert for anybody out there, upset about the new rules, if you’re vaccinated, you can go ashore to the port area and book a tour through the St Kitts government. I spoke to two men who booked a “tour” that was just a $7 cab ride to the beach. Maybe we can stop threatening to burn Royal to the ground over this rule that is not theirs.
I had meant to ask about the scooter situation and if I could actually do the tour early in the cruise , but, you know, distractions. So, I went to Shorex Wednesday morning and they didn’t think so. They said it depended on which bus they used. They said go to the pier and ask them a little before the tour.

This naked man had perfect form.
You know I love a man with long legs.
I liked this guy because he reminded me of my ex.
Everybody else was in bed and I should be, too.
Tomorrow, we’re in Labadee. No, it was changed to Antigua. No, it was changed to St Kitts. I have an excursion booked and believe it or not, it involves alcohol.

This guy flew in, spanking his monkey. The woman in the bottom left had the appropriate reaction. Side note: Check out his calves! Somebody didn’t skip leg day.
Ryma, up to her old shenanigans.
Who needs strong men when you can have strong women? Side note: The guy in the back appears to be having a heart attack.
Really, who needs men at all?
Another hard nope.

A blurry picture, but it was nice of Jesus to show up, walking on water.
The slack line is my favorite part.
It just looks like so much fun. Imagine being a professional slackliner.
When the shirtless men show up, I sit up in my seat. I have to, there’s always a tall man in front of me.
Why the long face?
There seemed to be more filler than usual, maybe because of Covid?
-
After all that, we strolled around a little, stopping by various venues until I decided to go see the Aqua Show. Ryma hit the hay early, she has an early excursion tomorrow.
The Boardwalk was gorgeous as ever.
Still a nope.
The show had already been cancelled two or three times, it was a decent turnout.
-
I came back to my room to a fox, I think? More intricate than the usual towel animals.
Ryma had a polar bear?
It was at this point that we implemented the great Evian heist of 2021.
Ryma said that they had messed up her wine a few times and she called to correct it. When they brought the right wine, they never took the wrong one, they just left them both with her. Ipso facto, we decided that on the third day of the cruise, despite telling them repeatedly that the water was not mine, it was now, in fact, mine.
We waited until there was no one in the hall and went to get one box for her room. As soon as we stepped into the hall, it was Grand Central Station. Our steward popped out of the supply closet and we started laughing uncontrollably. I’m talking eyes watering, noses running, whole body shaking laughter. The commotion caused two other stewards to come to see what was going on. Two passengers came down the hall, carrying plates of food. We made it to my room, trying not to pee and I started sliding one box towards the door.
Ryma, which apparently means He-Man in Canadian just picked up the box and started walking. I did the math, twelve 750ml bottles weigh 19.8 pounds or 9 kilograms. Factor in that the bottles were glass and the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow and it all makes sense. That explains why she could pick it up and I couldn’t, she was only lifting half the weight. 🤔
We got to her room and I forgot if the doors open in or out, we finally made it in wheezing. Mission accomplished.

As most cruises go, soon it was time to eat again. It was formal night or whatever they call it now. Yes, on the third night, not the second, don’t lose your mind.
Dale was ready to go.
The fried calamari was calling my name, but I resisted and had Caesar Salad again.
Beef Tenderloin. Why are the Jolly Green Giant’s legs on my plate?
Notice my strategy: Choke down the asparagus, then wash it down with tenderloin and mashed potatoes. Look, Merion Mom, look!
Apple Blossom, Part Deux.
I ordered a cheese plate to go for my room.

Well, although that lot number is not on the Jan 2022 list, only the May 2021 list, the Abbott letter does say this.
