  1. My husband's offer is a bit different ($500 for 17,500 points), which leads me to believe I'm going to be able to use both. I'll keep you posted.
  2. Thank you! Have a final payment to make in a couple of weeks. I've heard recently that even if you have several cards on one account that get the offer, the account can only receive one offer. That was not how it was in the past. One time I used all 4 cards on my account and received $1,000. I'm going to try again and I will post what happens.
  3. This remains my issue - from their site 30 seconds ago - When you’re on vacation, a long morning slumber with an indulgent breakfast in bed is always in the cards. Or perhaps you like the idea of a romantic dinner for two on your private veranda? Room service is complimentary on a cruise with Celebrity between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. or for 24 hours a day for suite passengers. Tuck into eggs, pancakes, and fresh fruit, or enjoy a cozy movie night with a burger and fries from the comfort of your cabin. There’s a mix of hot and cold all-day items, plus plenty of kids’ options to choose from. No problem with the room service charge, had it been there when I booked. People are booking today with no idea of this added cost. Shame on Celebrity. I won't be cancelling my cruise because of this, but I do hope my pool towel is still "free" when I board. Remember nothing is "free" on a cruise, it's included in the price you paid. If you'd rather not take your cruise, I'd screenshot the above paragraph from their site, I'm sure your credit card would be interested in this advertising.
  4. As some of you have stated I would miss somethings about turndown, but not everything. I like having the room ready for "bed" when I get back after a fun evening. I don't like to leave wet towels in a cruise cabin. I find they don't dry and add dampness to the room. We often cat nap and having the bed remade is nice. We will grab a drink and snack to enjoy before/during getting ready for the evening and count on the room attendant to take these away. We have no place to put these items and I'm afraid there will be a lot more items out in the hallways. I think it's a good idea for the room steward to take a look at a room to make sure there are no issues. I'm sure on a nightly basis the room stewards unplug a flat iron that has been left on.
  5. Hadn't thought of that! I had thought of that with turndown being eliminated. We will usually have a snack and cocktail while getting ready for dinner and count on room attendant taking that away before we return for the night. Mind you, I'm not opposed to cleaning up after myself, however there is no place to put these items.
  6. However, the rooms that you see them outside of there will be a lot more of them with a lot more uneaten food. I fear that if people are paying over $11 and feel it's an "extra" fee, they will order more and waste more.
  7. Shouldn't they honor the no fee if you booked under no fee. I'm sure in the fine print there is something that states they can, but it's a matter of should.
  8. I made use of the PH laundry. Some of my husband's shirts came back "a little short in the arms". Most stuff did fine. I do put cold water, but I'm not sure it matters. When it comes back hung and pressed it is so much better than shoved in the bag (I think that is awful regardless of what room your in or what you cruise status is).
  9. This is great. I have 4 cards on my account and have a b2b at the end of January.
  10. It depends. My husband and I get different offers on the same account.
  11. We did 6 weeks on the Apex in a Sky Suite and never asked because we didn't think it was included. On the Summit in March, we were with friends who asked and received drinks to their Sky Suite, so we asked and our butler said she was not allowed to do that. Summit in April in Celebrity Suite, we were told yes, but it was not something he was supposed to do. Summit in October in Penthouse, there was nothing we requested that couldn't be handled. We are actually not high maintenance, because we enjoy the ship and are usually out and about (although the PH on the Summit is hard to leave).
  12. The service you receive changes ship to ship, butler to butler and by class of room. I do think the most important factor is the butler themselves. We've had very good and not so good butlers. You should ask and receive what has been promised as amenities. There is no reason for you, on vacation, to worry about how hard the butler is working. That's up to Celebrity to figure out. These rooms are FAR more expensive than regular cabins for a reason. Having said that it does seem like drinks delivered to the suite is a a gray zone. "enjoy in your suite" is different than delivered to your suite (if splitting hairs).
  13. I too consider myself a seasoned traveler. I one time forgot my carryon. Put it down to grab the trash and away I went. Put the car in park in Boston Logan's parking lot and it dawned on me. I was tagging along on a business trip my husband was taking, so he had to go. Called my parents and asked if they would drive to my house, grab bag, then to airport. Everything had to go perfectly for me to still make my flight. It was 6PM on a Friday. They had to drive 40 miles to Logan with no traffic. HAHAHAHA. It happened. My dad said he had never seen anything like it. The Mass Pike was a ghost town. I won't make that mistake again. Fast forward to a couple of months ago, my daughter was cruising out of Boston and grabbed her old passport. Let's just say, my husband and I were able to save the day for her as my parents did for me. I've learned something from your experience...to have a photo of my BC on my phone. Thanks for that.
  14. LPC offers different menus on the same cruise. On our last cruise 10+ days there were 3 different menus and you could choose your night based on the menu you liked best. Our suite covered it and we went twice (it was a long cruise). Our food was very good. I did note the price and I wouldn't pay that up charge over Luminae, unless I had a lot of OBC and had never experienced LPC.
  15. There are many (supply chain dependent) different vodkas. If you have the premium package it's a good time to try some lesser known ones.
  16. i am in my late 50s, 5'7" with no physical restrictions and those tubs scared the heck out of me everyday. I was sooooo careful getting in and out. The drop is unacceptable and there is nothing to hold on to.
  17. Carry mine, have a picture on phone and it is stored in my cloud. On the, hopefully very, off chance I need to have medical attention, be evacuated or remain in one of the ports, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
  18. I know there is a bunch of laundry questions. We were in a PH last week on the Summit. We put laundry out almost everyday after day 3. It came back, next day, washed and pressed. Very nicely done and never charged. Much nicer than what you get with CC status. One day there was a mistake and my laundry was done as an Elite Plus CC member instead of a PH passenger. The clothes showed up 2 days later, "folded" and shoved back in the tiny bag and smelled burned. I know it's free, but really no one's clothes should be treated that way. I always do my own slip and snap a pic of the clothes and the slip, so I know what is gone and due back. Our butler usually wrote PENTHOUSE, but missed that day. I suggest writing it yourself. It's a great perk for longer cruises.
  19. We received a set of pjs last week (Summit 10/15/22). Asked butler on the first day and they arrived a couple of days later monogramed. I don't think I would stockpile them, but these were my first and I was happy to receive them.
  20. This past week on the Summit we did get a 0 balance slip that we signed. We also were able to add a tip on the slip.
