  1. You need to look close at CO Bigelow. It states it's SLS free and the second ingredient is Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which I believe is SLS. Some sizes are made in China, some in Italy. This is also a disclaimer on their website. "* Ingredients vary by bottle size." I find that strange. I'm glad it's not animal tested, because I don't think you should use it on your dog.
  2. May be a good time to simplify the benefits and then stick to them fleet wide. If you've been on enough cruises to be Elite or Elite+ you shouldn't need a cheat sheet to know what, when and where your benefits can be taken advantage of. More aggravation than they're worth.
  3. Have never done this, but it sounds great. The walk to the ferry is a short, easy one. Rowes Wharf is a great place to be dropped off. You'll have access to both the Greenway and Harborwalk to get you to many sights. Boston Harbor Hotel is there for as a good bathroom source. Weather is the wildcard. Either the company or you will have to have a back-up plan.
  4. Also note with Uber, unless you take Uber Black, you will be dropped off at Central Parking at Logan. It's a bit of a haul to airport check-in.
  5. only Celebrity Suites and above. Better stop this before it becomes a rumor.
  6. Forgot about Dry Dock Cafe and Pete's. Only open during the week tho. Never been to either, but seem to get good ratings.
  7. I would second Flour. If you want sit down https://www.mydinerboston.com/ is not too far and an very safe, easy walk.
  8. We have a working Excel spreadsheet for just this purpose. Sometime it works out to do AI, sometimes not. By the time you figure all the status discounts it can be very confusing.
  9. Have never stayed there, but walk by it all the time. You are a few blocks off of the action in the Seaport, but it's an easy, safe walk. Lots of good restaurants in that area. I wouldn't hesitate to book it.
  10. For one night, I think the Seaport (I live there) has plenty of things to do/see. Harborwalk or Greenway will bring you to Qunicy Market, No. End or Chinatown. You could walk to Castle Island. There are tons of restaurants and shops. There is a walking path across from the pier that has signage explaining the history of the port. Lots of outdoor spots to grab a sandwich/snack to sit and enjoy people watching with a water view. If you're up for public transport, South Station is right there. I believe the Silverline to South Station is free from the airport. It continues down to the pier area. Something to look into. I can't give much info on that, since I've never done it. My suggestion would be to book one of the hotels near the port. There are at least 2 that will get you within a very quick walk. I know they're expensive, but getting into a car in Boston is a huge time sucker. Traffic is awful and unpredictable. If you don't want to experience Boston at all, I'd head south of the city. Quincy or Braintree would be my choice. If you stay north of the city, you have to drive through the city to get to the port.
  11. If you use a ride share keep this in mind, only high end, professional cars (ie Uber Black) can pull up at the terminal. All others must go to central parking. Getting to your terminal could require a bit of a hike and some up and down in elevators. If you have a lot of luggage or have issue walking, I'd book an Uber Black or equivalent. They usually run between $40-$55 before tip. They are typically large SUVs that can fit a good amount of people and luggage. I believe taxis can pull up to the terminal (check me on that). If you look into the transfer through Celebrity, make sure you know where that drops you off at the airport.
  12. You'll be fine, don't stress. Getting to the airport from the Seaport is easy. That time on a typical Saturday AM would be 15 minutes tops.
  13. On a Sunday, early morning, you'll have a quick ride to the airport. It's much easier to get to the airport from the Seaport than it is getting to the Seaport from the airport. Leaving yourself 30 minutes in commute should be plenty. I live in the Seaport and it has never taken me more than 30 minutes to get to the airport, even in rush hour traffic.
  14. I live less than a mile from the cruise terminal in Boston. While in theory it should take 10-15 minutes, I've never been home in less than 15 minutes and rarely (unless middle of the night) have I been home in around 15 minutes. It has taken as long as an hour for me to get home from the airport. Taxis are easiest from Logan. They will be lined up outside Arrivals/Baggage Claim area. For ride shares you have to go to Central Parking (I believe level 1). It's not hard, it's just a lot of walking and up and down levels. If time or walking is an issue, I'd grab a cab.
  15. For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, our Celebrity ships are non-smoking. Hookahs and other types of water pipes are prohibited from use under this non-smoking designation. This is the first paragraph in the section. Celebrity then follows up with complete contradictions. If the ships are non smoking how can there be smoking in certain areas?
  16. I was interested about what the Celebrity Code of Conduct said regarding smoking and this is the first paragraph under that heading. "For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, our Celebrity ships are non-smoking. Hookahs and other types of water pipes are prohibited from use under this non-smoking designation." Of course then it goes on to explain where and what you can smoke on the ships.
  17. I have two cruises with Celebrity this year which I will sail on. Next year, I'm canceling the two I have. My husband and I have a Viking Sea planned and we will see how that goes. I'm not saying I won't sail Celebrity again, but I'll let them decide who they are first. So far the changes they've made haven't really affected me, but taking the time to research and plan only to have the criteria change without notice or recourse is just a bit too much of a risk for me.
  18. I wonder if the people on the Equinox and Eclipse realized when they booked this cruise that they would be part of this trial?
  19. Just off the Apex TA with an almost full ship. We never had an issue walking up to the dining room we wanted to eat at that night and getting seated right away (usually between 630-7). Each of the 4 main dining rooms will have their speciality items that will be same every night. The daily Celebrity menu will change nightly and those items will be on each of the 4 menus. We were also told that you could choose from any of the other restaurant's specialty items and they would be brought to you. It sounds far more complicated than it is. Most of the food was very good to excellent.
  20. I'd love for Celebrity to offer this. Was booked on Viking but due to Covid restrictions they replaced Hawaii with Mexico for the sailing we were booked on, so we regretfully cancelled.
  21. We did it in February of 2022. We walked about 5 minutes to the end of the pier and took a 40ish minute catamaran ride to Josh where we wadding through the water onto the beach. It's a fun day!
  22. It was Uber who could not pull up to our hotel. Our van service pulled right up. We stayed at the Anantara Krasnapolsky, maybe it is their no Uber rule.
