  1. Not every cruise line is a good fit for every passenger. Baggy178 chose Celebrity, where the tipping culture differs from his home country, and will be on his way to the US, where the tipping culture prevails. I sense trouble ahead…..
  2. It is a shame that you booked your cruise without doing enough research to understand how Celebrity handles gratuities, who receives them, the implications of removing them and so forth. Perhaps a different cruise line would have met your needs better. But now that you have booked Celebrity,It is probably too late for you to change.
  3. Why should you punish anonymous crew members who are friendly and efficient?
  4. Leaving with your luggage will alert the crew who are checking you out at the gangway and you won’t be allowed to leave without the proper clearances.
  5. Sharing packages is not allowed. assuming that you booked a “simply sail” rate with no drinks packages included, you are probably looking at buying your drinks one at a time.
  6. Since it doesn’t really get very dark during the summer, it’s not likely. But you might get lucky.
  7. One reason to buy OBC ahead of time is to take advantage of a favorable exchange rate. Another is to move ones spending onto an earlier credit card statement, rather than waiting until the end of the cruise and seeing their charges then. This might be especially true if using the Celebrity branded credit card and approaching a points redemption amount. Let’s say you have 14,000 points and you need 15,000 to redeem for $150 off the price of a cruise. You anticipate spending $1000 on board on spa, shore excursions, etc. so by buying $1000 OBC ahead of the cruise, you achieve the 15,000 points and can redeem them.
  8. There is no special disembarkation for those who book concierge class. You are probably right to avoid the itinerary with three tender ports since you will not have any privileged status as far as tendering goes. At the end of the cruise there is also no priority disembarkation for concierge class. There is just a designated waiting area.
  9. I’m curious what items you see on the happy hour menu that would not be included in your classic package.?
  10. Not sure what you need. It’s a bottle of liquor, some mixers and some salty snacks. probably not a good value but YMMV
  11. I have never actually seen milkshakes on a celebrity cruise. The bars which have blenders do not have ice cream. The ice cream stand does not have a blender.
  12. Not sure why you would expect to be able to do this after the deadline. Could you elaborate please
  13. I drink vodka+7. Sprite or 7-up. Regular or diet. Vodka and water is not the same.
  14. Wow, what time does the ship depart? What is your all-aboard time? Seems like you are cutting it close. Good luck!
  15. What will be interesting to see is the first daily on the new cruise after this one… What will the instructions regarding smoking and vaping say on the next cruise’s embarkation day. thanks, Georgia Peaches!!!!!
  16. You never know until you put the application in.
  17. But the OP wants to know about the bracelet, not the locket…..
  18. There may be a lifeboat below you, or window washing equipment blocking part of your view
  19. Since you are asking about one specific trail you might be better off posting your question on the South American board.
  20. As I wrote in the other thread, I responded to their email by informing them that I will have my travel agent cancel my upcoming cruise on Eclipse.
  21. Voting with my feet, I just let the executive office know that I am canceling my upcoming cruise on Eclipse.
