  1. Very occasionally Celebrity ship time doesn’t change to match shore time but the ABC islands aren’t among them. For those locations ship time = shore time
  2. Hair flat irons do the trick nicely. They are allowed whereas clothes irons are not.
  3. here’s one company offering quilting cruises . There are at least two more. The hey provide the sewing machines https://worldofquiltstravel.com/2024caribbeancruise/
  4. They do not treat it as one cruise, however, the second cruise check-in is not required for consecutive cruisers. each cruise is a separate entity, and your unused onboard credit, Internet minutes, etc. do not transfer from one to the next. Your onboard account will be closed out at the end of the first cruise and you will start a new onboard account for the second cruise. while you do not need to check-in again, you will need to report to your muster station on the new cruise whether you stay in the same stateroom or not
  5. Why would a sewing machine be confiscated? They are not prohibited.
  6. There is no prohibition against sewing machines, and in fact, there are often cultures groups who come to the ship with dozens of machines and projects for their participants. You can find them in one of the meeting rooms. The biggest problem that they run into is that large scissors are prohibited.
  7. They often enforce the arrival times but sometimes the process is going so efficiently that they don’t need to. You just never know. If you show up ahead of your arrival time prepare to be told to wait and be happily surprised if you are admitted.
  8. Ugh. If I want a three- or four- night cruise I will look to Royal Caribbean. I long for some 14 night Caribbean cruises on Celebrity ….
  9. The daily planner is the printed program you receive in your stateroom. It should match the activities shown on the app.
  10. Do you like to go to the show before dinner or after dinner?
  11. No, that’s not correct. The PVSA feels with passenger vessel. The Jones act deals with cargo vessels. A lot of people who ought to know better, including some employees of the cruise lines, call them all the Jones Act. we may feel like cargo after eating at the buffet, but we are still passengers, and the PVSA is what we need to obey.
  12. If you have a package, my advice is to order a wine, taste it and see if you like it. If it isn’t to your liking, then try another one. You won’t incur any extra charges and you will find out what you like that they have all offer.
  13. You are just above the lifeboats so they might block your downward view but not your outward view.
  14. If you like it do it. It doesn’t matter what others do.
  15. The surcharge is for speedy service — one day as opposed to two or three day service.
  16. The app is never 100% accurate. however, in this case, it is likely that the app is fairly accurate because the Luminae menus don’t change that much from cruise to cruise.
  17. The prepaid daily goes to housekeeping staff and MDR staff. It does not cover specialty restaurants’ staff, spa staff, babysitters, or bar and wine staff when you are ordering something outside your drinks package
