I talked to a lady tonight that had MTD, and she said they were in American Icon and Silk, so I guess that leaves assigned in The Grande and Chic if that’s important.
Yes thank you. I always make a special request pre cruise for a specific location due to some issues we have. On the other RCL ships we didn't have to specify which dining room only MDR. I understand Ovation has 4 dining rooms so I need to decide which to request.

Can you find out which dining rooms are designated for traditional 5pm & 8pm dining?
-
Do you stop at Victoria tomorrow? If so what time?

Gotta say, all MDRs have had long lines that I’ve noticed regardless of the time of reservation or if you have My Time Dining.
We'll have the traditional early dining 5pm. Do you know if it works the same as other ships? 1st day you get your table # and for the rest of the week no checking in just walk in. I'm going to pre request the Grande dining room.

Anyone know how it's been going in the Grande 5pm early MDR ?

On the Ovation now, and there are a couple of cases with books in the library area. I haven’t looked to see what kind.
Do they have computers in the library?

Just want to take a moment to thank those of you who are following, those who are asking questions, and those who are answering. VOOM is poor. Knew I was going to go live here, so thought it would help….not really helpful, though. For example, this is the 4th time I’ve tried to make this post.
Will get to the questions when and where I can, if I can!
Thanks, again!
You're doing a fabulous job!

THANKS Any info on when onboard activities became available for booking prior to sailing (specifically the NorthStar. The full complement of spa and dining experiences are available for booking now for a 5/20 sailing, but zero onboard activities.
AeroBaldness what kind of dining experiences can you book pre cruise?

We're planning on it when we were there 8 years ago the weather was lousy wouldn't have been able to see anything. Hope we get to do it this year. Did you pre purchase through the cruise line or just get tickets at the tram?

Starboard!
Thanks, we'll be in a starboard side JS in August. Looking forward to that view. Post some more views so I can dream about them.
I also love the pictures of the ship and the passengers they will help me with my daytime wardrobe decisions.

If you're still looking for the information check out my live thread on the Carnival board. I'll be starting it next weekend but I actually arrive in Seattle on the 22nd. I'm doing two days pre-cruise. I'm undecided on the city pass yet but I'm doing the space needle and chihuly either way.
Thanks I'll definitely check it out.

Am I correct in reading on “Day 1” there were no shows in the main theatre? Just comedy, trivia, and karaoke? That’s a little disappointing as I have heard RCL usually puts on huge productions. I wonder if they’re still not rehearsed?
Looks like there were 2 Welcome Aboard shows with a comedian in the main theater.

Lorey, Google Beaver Tail Broughton St Victoria and check out their website. Yummy! They are located super close to the dock.
Oh yes Yum I did check out the website not the location. We may be doing a private excursion I'll have to see if they'll stop there.

@Lorey2007, unless there is two ships at Pier 91, or you wait until very late in the disembarking process, I seriously doubt it will take you more than a few minutes to catch a cab. They are usually lined up very close to the entrance to the Terminal, and they have a supervisor to make sure there is a supply.
Thanks for all your help plan to be off the ship 8-8:15.

A little Google Map research would find its only 1.6 miles from the port to the hotel. So, even considering any getting off the ship issues, you will have plenty of time to grab a cab (suggesting over Uber because the cabs will be at the front of the terminal, as opposed to going to the lot where Uber/Lyft have to standby for pick ups), and make it to your hotel. Then Pike Place is about 1.5 more miles...you could even walk if mobility is not an issue.
I did do some research and was aware of how close the ship, hotel and tourist attractions are from each other. I'm always second guessing my self and was most worried if we would have enough time to meet the tour especially if there was a issue getting off the ship, Uber, shuttle or taxi or dropping our luggage. We are staying at the same hotel pre cruise so I guess I will ask how there shuttle works. Off the Navigator in February we had to wait about 30 minutes to get a taxi, a big line but they put your name on a list. I did come across Rome2rio app that works like a GPS giving you best options, walking, taxi, bus with bus #'s, distance, time, maps etc. I think we'll use it for our 2nd day in Seattle.
Thanks for all the great information that you always provide.

Ovation arrives back in Seattle at 6am on a Friday we plan to have breakfast on the ship in the MDR . We have The Key so once cleared we can leave at any time & our luggage will be in a special area. Looking to find the the fastest way to the Mediterranean Inn to drop our bags and make it to Pike Place Market for a 10:15 food tour. What time should we leave the ship and should we use the hotel shuttle, Uber or taxi to get to hotel. Once we drop our bags we'll have get a Uber or taxi to Pike Place. Can we make it there by 10:15?

I plan on pre purchasing the Seattle City Pass. The day we get off the ship we plan to drop our bags at our hotel and do a private food tour at Pike Place Market and possibly the Aquarium with the pass. It looks like you need to pick a reservation time for each place. The next day is it possible to do Space Needle, Chihuly Glass ans then Harbor cruise in that order? How much time to allot at each place and how much walking would be between these places? DH has a mobility issue is there a city bus or should we uber in between? We also would need to factor in lunch on that day. Does all of that sound like a plan? Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks from pictures I've seen Grande looks nicer. I'm going to miss the feel of the 3 floor dining.
