  1. Can someone clarify the itinerary for the 7 day March 24th sailing on the Caribbean Princess? The map doesn’t match the daily schedule. Cozumel or Grand Turk?
  2. As I recall, we had the sprinter van for the city tour and the mini coach for the others. We all had luggage. No problems. https://vancouvertours.com/transportation/fleet/
  3. Thanks for posting the picture. We are staying there next month for two days. ( I really like Dania Pointe.) Do they run a paid shuttle to the pier?
  4. If you have the time, look into the Walk on the Wild Side tours at AWCC. DD and I had a guide to ourselves and got to feed a moose and see some animals not on display. We plan to do this again in May.
  5. We have used them several times. We did the city tour and the North Shore including Capilano and Grouse Mtn. No problems. We’re booked again for the North Shore Mountain Discovery tour for May.
  6. Maybe before or after your car rental in Skagway, your son would enjoy Oceanraft. Great fun. https://www.oceanraftalaska.com
  7. I had already bought the train tickets, so after the cruise I took our bags over to the depot in Seward. ( I can’t remember if the free bus dropped me at the depot or if I took a cab. It isn’t far from the pier, but I know I wouldn’t have walked.) I had to tell them we were getting off at Girdwood so that they kept our bags separate from those going to Anchorage. As I recall ( this was a few years ago, and we have been to Seward many times), the Kenai Fjords folks had a kiosk in the terminal, and they took my daughter to one of the Kenai fjords tours, and after dropping the bags, I went with Exit Glacier Guides out to the glacier and then walked around town. DD and I met later and went to the Sealife Center, and then took the town shuttle back to the train depot. We got off at the stop in Girdwood, and took the Girdwood Shuttle up to the lodge. On that trip we only had two days at the lodge, so the next morning we took the 26 glacier tour in Whittier ( r/t bus from the lodge). The next day we rode the tram and hiked one of the trails behind the lodge. The concierge arranged a cab to the airport ($125). There are loads of things to do in the area. The concierge can arrange anything. https://www.alyeskaresort.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/alyeska-summer-activity-guide-2023.pdf In May, we are flying in to Anchorage on a Wednesday and will stay at the lodge for four nights and boarding our cruise in Whittier on Sunday.
  8. We took the train from Seward and got off at Girdwood, spent a couple nights at Mt. Alyeska lodge and took a cab to the airport. Lots to see and do at the lodge. Much nicer atmosphere than downtown Anchorage, IMO. No need for a rental car.

OK. I’ll play. Holland America. May.
  10. I already have quite a bit of non-refundable OBC. Will the credit for dining be refundable ( back to my credit card)? Thanks.
  11. You can also write to hello@stockperks.com for help.
  12. If you join Stash Rewards (free) the price comes down a little at the Riverside.
  13. The senior discount is still there, but unfortunately the regular price went up. There are six ships in port on the 18th and only 2 on your date (19th), so they can charge a premium for all those people arriving on the 17th for their cruise the next day. It’s going to be hard finding a bargain for that Saturday night.
  14. They don’t have a lot of reviews yet, but at least you can see seat maps. https://www.seatmaestro.com/find-seat-maps/
  15. Senior rate at Hyatt Place South $242. https://www.hyatt.com/shop/rooms/fllzd?location=Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Airport - South %26 Cruise Port&checkinDate=2024-02-18&checkoutDate=2024-02-19&rooms=1&adults=2&kids=0&rate=Senior
  16. You can use All Trails to find hikes in the ports. https://www.alltrails.com
  17. In Seward, there are several fishing charter places near the Major Marine and Kenai Fjords stores. Also, you can arrange a trip with a local at the hardware store across the street. Ask at the register. You can get your fishing license there. We have been to Seward in June several times, and DH caught loads of fish. ( Not sure what kind, but I do remember that one time a woman was in the lead for the halibut derby that was going on.😊) If the prices of the fishing charters are too high, you can also fish from shore right in town. In Juneau, try Bear Creek Outfitters if you want a pricey, but once in a lifetime floatplane trip to a stream for fly fishing. ( photo below- Dolly Varden, not salmon, I was told. LOL) In Ketchikan, both Princess and HAL offered an excursion called Fishing and Wilderness Dining or something similar. You catch whatever, and then they cook your catch for lunch, along with bread and blueberry cobbler. (Rockfish was the catch of the day). I didn’t go along, but DH had fun and did that excursion several times. If you do book a trip through the cruise line, be sure to ask if you will have your own rod or if you have to take turns.
  18. Third time’s the charm! The first two times I “x” I got a message that all my information would not be saved. The third time I tried, I did get an option to upload files. Thanks so much.
  19. Thanks for your reply. I’m not getting an option. If I try to bypass the screen, it won’t go any further. This is very odd. In the past we were asked to redact any account numbers, and now they want my brokerage username and password to access my account. Not happening.
  20. How did you get around the plaid page that wants your broker username and password?
  21. We stayed at the Hampton Inn at 501 Colorado Ave in Santa Monica. Tour bus picked us up right at the front door, and we had no trouble getting Uber to the pier. Very easy walk to restaurants and attractions. Trader Joe’s very close, also.
  22. We haven’t done this tour, but have done others with this company. https://beyondak.com/trips/fly-in-glacier-hike-pack-raft/
  23. I’m on Reflection 8 day beginning Saturday. Chic nights were Day 2 at sea and day 7 at sea
  24. We have used the following fishing tours and would recommend: Sitka - http://flyfishsitka.com/guide-tad-kisaka/. Tad will do “regular” fishing in addition to fly fishing. Juneau - https://juneauflyfishing.com - flying out to a remote stream.
  25. Just got on board the Reflection and found new ( to me) laundry options in addition to the free bag. My first week is only 6 days. I’ll see if prices increase next week for the 8 day.
