Vacation for everyone. I looked the other day but really do not pay attention to vacations. Since in ship now at some point she goes home.Thought Thomaz from Poland was the other HD. Food wise I could care less who is chef. Known Others longer.  I will look again. Also this is the cruise I am waiting for updates on, as I get on ship in Oct  I am concern about Visas as I am traveling in sept too.

I suppose changes were inevitable but my next cruise on Pursuit went from a full complement of known officers on the old schedule to only knowing the master Antonio on the new one.  Also, I don't see Elizabeth on the schedule so I presume she will be stationed on the Onward (hate that name).

You do not know Heike? She been around I think since day one?

Different cruise lines are making different policies on this issue.  Windstar has decreed only ship excursions (uproar on their board).  Oceania has told a connected CC member that they will allow DIY.  Thankfully Azamara is no longer beholden to corporate overlords, so they are free to make their own decision – let's hope they copy Oceania, not Windstar!

I have a Windstar cruise booked. So far not booked a tour.of the several ports I am going too.should of cruise celebrity.

We were brave and booked the 11 night black sea on June 29th 2022. I thought it was a very good deal for the itinerary and I am sure it will be very popular as it's hard to find a circular Black Sea itinerary. I am expecting changes and possible cancellations but I want something to look forward too and I love the itinerary. Let's hope the cruise goes ahead as planned but I will have a realistic attitude at the same time. Fingers crossed.

Booked a later in summer one .think I have a better chance with that one.

We just booked the July 30, 11 night Black Sea cruise on the Onward.  It's 3 nights shorter when compared to this years canceled Black Sea cruise on the Pursuit (which we also had booked).  But since it's leaving from Istanbul rather than Athens it's able to do a full circle around the Black Sea rather than just going up to Odessa and back down again like the other Azamara itineraries.  It's also $3,500 less when compared to what we would have paid on the Pursuit this year, so, can't complain there.

WARNING: Be aware that this is the 4th time that we have booked a Black Sea cruise on Azamara with the previous 3 ALL being canceled.  Since I'm convinced that Azamara is just messing with us, personally, you take your chances if you also decide to book this cruise.  YOU HAVE BEEN FAIRLY WARNED!

Most of us have been cancel on the Black Sea cruise at least once..many several times. Had to do with all the problems in Turkey or somewhere.

Our Black Sea cruise for 2021 was of course cancelled.  Looking at the new one to the Black Sea, it is slightly shorter and in the summer rather than the fall.  And the Russian ports aren't there.  Calculating the cost for the two of us seems to be really a lot cheaper per night, than the one that was cancelled.  Am I missing something?

I had the July Black Sea and Greece for my Birthday this summer.I booked the second Black Sea for 22. There is a Russian Port as it was used for the Olympics years ago. Cruise not the same but better than nothing. I did not keep my  paperwork but it gives me a chance  to do Greece and other ports I have not done or willing to do again.

  12. Well, I have been trying to do Black Sea maybe in 22 I will get there and some other ports I never been too. Seven day cruises bring on younger people who work and one day can do longer cruises.we can all do two or more cruises if we want too.

As an Azamara discoverer plus loyalty member, having sailed on all three ships,        I agree with most of the constructive comments on this post. I would like to add a few comments of my own for your perusal. I have witnessed a sharp decline in food quality since I first started sailing with Azamara, especially the food served in the M.D.R. to the point of having to return numerous meals on my last two cruises, and finding other loyal Azamara people who were of the same opinion.

Azamara will have to up its game if it hopes to retain loyal members and attract new customers, they must realize we have other choices out there, who would cherish our custom.

1  Better food quality in M.D.R.

2  Specialty venues to change menus at least twice a year.

3  Superior grades of wine to be served as standard.

4 I can live with shower curtain, but would like a door.

5 Piano player in the Den to be located in the corner, and volume set to a level where guests can have a conversation, without raising their voices.                               (Is it me, or is the volume higher during second session)

6 More variety and professional guest entertainers.

Well, I can not agree on most of this. It is impossible for Robert to reinvent the menus twice a year..plus go to all four ships and teach new chefs how to make them. I do think they could bring back old favorites  but you can special order .

music..wow..it took years to move that piano  to a better spot. Yes, all piano and singers are quieter pre dinner.after most us want it louder as we are in a bar after all.

shows..major budget cut a few years ago. Maybe it will improve with new owners.

Yes, I am quite confident that everyone in the US who wants it will be vaxxed by June at the latest.  Here in NC there are a several counties that are vaccinating everyone over the age of 18 (and 1 county over the age of 16) as of today.

And the list of those requiring vaccinations (at least at the onset) continues to grow.  Crystal, Virgin, RCCL out of Israel and as of this AM, P&O for their British sailings.

I am wintering in a hotel in Mexico. I am going to FL to get the vaccine as I thought it would be easier than Asheville. Are you saying it is getting easier  now to get the vaccine. Having to go back to FL for three days is a pain.

Not even the well managed UK program can get two doses to all adults by summer.  Need to think beyond states on this one. That’s why cruising return will be cautious.  They have to consider beyond the USA, Australia and NZ are only just starting, the roll out in Europe is painfully slow and stop.  But I do agree I think all onboard (guests and crew) should be vaccinated.  Problems if they are not, ports may not even accept the vessel.

I totally agree on most points. I believe it will be for everyone over 50/so that cruise coul,go. The mega ships  are the scary ones.
