  1. Check the booking again tomorrow, I’m sure they are aware & working on the deposit glitch. I have not had much luck with the chat option so if need be just call the customer service line. Good luck!
  2. We all thought we were then also. It's a hassle to keep checking, I know but today is the first day of that promotion so keep trying.
  3. I remember this happening in early December with the $100 deposits on the first day of the promotion. Keep checking because it eventually corrected the deposit amount, I know because I was finally able to book the cruise I was looking at.
  4. I stayed in S218, a balcony on the Discovery last year and I LOVED that cabin. The balcony was larger than the regular balcony cabins and partially covered. I loved being able to open the door and see how busy or not the retreat pool was, it was a short walk back to my cabin if I needed anything. The Retreat bar was there and Lido deck was just one below to grab food. The hot tubs were one deck above. It was quiet in the evenings because the bar & pool close at like 7:00pm. This would be my first choice of cabins based on me loving to hang by the pool which is adult only.
  5. It's for those that book a guarantee cabin. The cruise line knows that there are a certain amount of cancellations that happen after final payment. If they don't get those cancellations, they start asking those that don't have flights, if they are willing to take the move over offer. This frees up the cabins for those that booked guarantee. They keep sweetening the pot until they have enough takers. The over bookings on Royal that happened was a very rare occurrence. The cruise lines have this down to a science. ETA: My parents received several of these over the years. They live 1 hour from the port.
  6. Just don't wait too long to respond if you want to take the offer. They will move onto others until it is accepted.
  7. Been in 7298 many times because we were sailing with our DD so needed the sofa bed. I was laying out on the lounger on the balcony one day and someone from Lido decided they didn't want their onions from their mongolian wok bowl and tossed them over the side which landed right on me. Another time, a guy one deck above decided to throw his cup of ice over onto the balcony, I don't think he knew I was standing there, when I looked up at him like *****, he was very apologetic.
  8. You don't have to wait until the last day. Your wife can go to guest services when the grats hit your folio and adjust the gratuity however she wants to.
  9. Sorry, but this thread is very strange. It's the "client" part that is troublesome for me.
  10. Usually the sofa is made up into the 3rd bed so you may already have a cabin for 3. Make sure that is the case and then call Carnival to see what the 3rd fare would be to add another to the booking.
  11. Does the cabin you booked hold 3 or more people? Also, if you booked directly with Carnival, you can call to add the 3rd person, if you booked with a travel agent, you need to contact them.
  12. Book for the both of you. There’s always that possibility you can’t add her later.
  13. I would get a prescription from the Dr before your cruise so you already have it IF you need it.
  14. One good thing about Covid now is, it’s not the same Covid as in 2020. The bad part about it, is that it’s airborne, and to add to that, before people even feel sick at all, they’re spreading it around. There’s not much you can do about that.
  15. I’ve been on five cruises since 2022 and caught it one time out of those five. It was a 10 day, all the others were 7 days. I consider myself lucky. We now have to live with Covid, along with Colds & the Flu. I will continue to travel with no worries or second thoughts.
  16. The person the offer was booked under has to sail, if they don’t, that offer is no longer valid for anyone sailing with them.
  17. Hopefully, you'll be doing some sightseeing or other things in California because that is a long flight just for a short cruise.
  18. This would not show up on the OP's credit report. No credit card in the OP's name was used nor is there a SSN involved.
  19. It looks like you pretty much only have 3 options. 1) Pay the balance owed from 7 years ago. 2) Spend the time and resources to go after the "travel agent". 3) Find another cruise line. Sorry this happened to you, I hope it works out in your favor.
  20. The adults only pool is The Retreat Pool on Sun Deck 17. On my two Discovery cruises, there were kids in the Wake View pool on Deck 16. I don’t believe that one is adults only.
  21. My DD lives in Honolulu and she will never move back to California, she said it's just too cold. She lives in tank tops/shorts & flip flops year round for the most part. Whenever I check the weather there, it's generally 82 degrees all the time, no matter what day it is, rain is on and off though.
  22. Masks are no guarantee you won’t get it.
  23. Dolphin deck & Baja deck are half covered.
  24. The OP paid it. All is good.
  25. You’re welcome. Better safe than sorry. 😊 Enjoy your cruise!
