  1. They’re all slim though, so they can fit between the furniture. I think people are more likely to be unhappy with their tables in the oddly shaped dining room on QM2. Even those with window tables want to move because they don’t like people walking past and looking in. This can provide an opportunity for those who don’t mind.
  2. Did it work? I have t seen it either.
  3. I wish. After years of booking Q4s and occasionally Q3s, and always being polite, we have never yet secured a table adjacent to the window.
  4. Prestige of cabin and order of booking, allegedly. But I’ve known Q6s who booked late be next to the window, so who knows.
  5. Totally agree. I have used the same line for years and wouldn’t trust them an inch if I had a ship to catch. And as a poster above says, London is a multi day trip. Stay in Southampton and enjoy what it has to offer.
  6. I’m sorry. Yes, I think I recall what you mention. But it doesn’t contain much of use. No labels, and no info about tours (which, by the way, My voyage won’t let me access).
  7. I’m afraid you have to print it. They don’t send those helpful booklets any more.
  8. This all seems so different from what happened in my now deceased parents’ youth, where ballroom dancing (or the cinema) was a way of meeting girls, and they all danced happily on very crowded dance floors without apparently any difficulties and little disdain or showing off.
  9. No, I’m sorry. I read it in the print version, which we only get on Saturdays (honest). And I can’t find it on line.
  10. You never know. And think of the air conditioning. In fact the writer of the article was wearing his girlfriend’s garments as his luggage had been left at Heathrow, and he was bemused by the fact the nobody commented on that, while several objected to his wearing nightwear.
  11. I didn’t think they did off menu items in PG very much.
  12. A new battle may be about to be joined. I have just read an article in The Daily Telegraph, of all places, about whether it is OK to come to breakfast in your night things. I don’t think the Cunard dress code covers this.
  13. Well, I certainly remember someone I knew get into awful trouble for eating an apple in the queue after getting off a plane. Pretty daft thing to do.
  14. I doubt Cunard have an awful lot of control over what happens in the terminal, and I suspect bringing food off the ship might break all sorts of regulations. However, I should have thought that their treatment of people once on board could have been vastly more comforting and welcoming. I hope everyone is getting obc. That is within their power.
  15. Yes, I think that’s about right. She was still there when I first looked at about 7.30 BST.
  16. I think that is UTC. Not sure how many hours behind you are.
  17. Perhaps he is a bit busy. And perhaps it counts as being in port, so no noon announcement.
  18. Awful for the person involved, and worrying for everyone whose plans may be ruined. But doesn’t she looked gorgeous in the fog?
