Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Happy New Year! I'll salute Ellis Island for it's former importance. Euros have made it easier traveling around Europe. First Foot day - around here they say the first person through your door after the new year should be a dark haired man, for good luck. Nice quote, as I get more books than sleep these days. I like roasted sweet potatoes. I'll pass on the drink, but take the wine. I have not been to Osaka. It's 32F and there's snow on the roofs and grass, but the roads are clear. BFF and I managed to stay up until after the new year. Now the pork and sauerkraut is cooking in the slow cooker. I got my usual about 4 hours of sleep. My watch told me I had a new trend the last 2 weeks, with almost 4 hours of sleep rather than the 2.5 I'd been getting. No big plans. Good afternoon. Thanks for the FR/Daily @kazu and @richwmn. I have my little bottle of champagne chilling (and sparkling grape juice for BFF). We certainly need to meditate on World Peace. NYE will be quiet, at home. Good quote by a favorite author. I like the meal, but not for today. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Fanning Island. Interesting day in history. I too had the "prove you are human" thing pop up when posting the Care List from my iPad. And I don't ever log out either. I got it wrong at first (no glasses), then got it. I thought my post was gone, but it was there when I clicked on reply. Is CC getting a lot of bots, that we have to do this? I haven't had it occur on the PC, but I'll see when I try to post this. It's 39F and cloudy currently, with rain/snow showers off and on. It won't stick. There's big goings on downtown for NYE, but I won't be going out. Again I had about 4 hours of sleep. I spent most of yesterday afternoon, photographing and estimating replacement costs for the few things that got damaged by the water leak. BFF will come over this evening to ring in the new year with me. @StLouisCruisers Good luck on finishing the stocking; it's quite complex. The gas is likely in the abdomen, not the GI tract, so I'm not sure the gas reliever will help, but it won't hurt. Your body will gradually absorb the gas. @RMLincoln I pray you're feeling a bit more settled today. Good morning. Thanks for the FR/Daily. Yum, bacon; love it, but I only have Canadian bacon that I use to make breakfast sandwiches. Over the last few years my resolution has been the same, to declutter this house and get rid of things I don't use. I do get rid of some stuff yearly, but not nearly enough. Not a fan of enormous changes at the last minute. I like the quote. I'll pass on the meal, drink and wine. I haven't been to Port Blair. Lots going on today in history. It's 36F and cloudy here, with an occasional snowflake. I'll be indoors. I slept about 4 hours, and may try to get a nap in later. Yesterday the insurance field rep called to see if I'd gotten the estimate; I said no and neither had they. He must have worked fast, as by last night I had information about my water damage repair. It's complicated, so I need to print out all the documents and study them. They also want information about loss of personal property. There wasn't much, mainly a lamp and a Lladro figurine that's precious to me was damaged and I have no receipt. I'll use some info from online. @grapau27 Thanks for the information. @rafinmd Good you got the all clear from the Cardiologist. Maybe it's a medication? I was on a BP med, and my Apple watch was showing my heart rate while sleeping down as low as 39! I had no symptoms, but they decreased the dose and now the lowest is 54. People without insurance or without medication coverage sadly just don't take them. I saw that a lot. And despite there being some assistance programs, some wouldn't jump through the hoops to get help. My European friends are shocked at what we pay out of pocket for meds, and medical tests.

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @kazu and @richwmn. I'll salute Mongolian independence. I know of pepper pot soup but never had any. I'll try to finish whatever needs to be done before year's end. Sweet quote. Pass on the meal (fish) and drink. Yes to the wine. I haven't been to Malacca. 2 good days in history. It's cloudy here and 40F. There was a spot of sun earlier, but gone now. I slept about 3.5 hours, but had an hour nap yesterday in the recliner. I went to PT this morning and told the therapist I felt I'd lost all the strength I'd gained from earlier months. So we tried some sitting strength exercises. Then stopped at the grocery store, which was crowded. I still haven't heard anything about the procedure, but hopefully I'll hear next week after the holidays. Otherwise just hanging out. I got a couple of books I wanted from BFF for Christmas. And also a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle that is a picture of us in Australia, with the Sydney Harbor Bridge in the background. @seagarsmoker I'm sorry to hear you got sick at the end of your cruise. Rest and feel better. @grapau27 Thanks for the information. It seems it's been raining there a lot. @StLouisCruisers Great photos from Antarctica. I'm jealous that you got to set foot on land and get close to penguins, which I didn't. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @kazu and @richwmn. I liked my DM's fruitcake, and I make a German fruit/nut bread most years for Christmas. No zoo visit today as it's raining a lot. It's been since childhood that I made cutout snowflakes. Interesting quote, but not sure I agree. Yes to the meal and wine, pass on the drink. I haven't been to St. Georges. 2 good days in history. It's cloudy here, in the 50's and raining. Yesterday was just relaxing, reading, watching a movie. BFF installed a new shower head for me in the downstairs bath. I slept about 3 hours, was up for 4, then got another hour; not too bad. Good morning. Thanks for the FR/Daily. Happy Kwanza to those celebrating. My only boxing today is shipping an item I sold on ebay. I am glad to be a homeowner, although often there's a lot to maintain. Strange quote. I've never been in Cracker Barrel, but the meal sounds good. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I have been to Cartagena on my PC cruise. It's warm and cloudy today, in the 50's. I had a nice dinner and evening with BFF yesterday. We'll just relax today, maybe watch a movie. I got about 4 hours of sleep last night. Lots of pain this morning, as is usual in the AM upon getting up. I need to call PT about restarting, as I can tell I'm losing strength; unfortunately I can't due much due to the pain with standing. @StLouisCruisers It sounds like you had a great time with family. Good morning. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. No pumpkin pie here today. And not my traditional dinner of Sauerbraten, spaetzle and red cabbage. BFF is making a chicken dish. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to today's port. 2 good days in history. It's cloudy and 45F. I slept about 4 hours, which is a bit of an improvement. BFF is still sleeping, so presents haven't been opened yet.
