Sandi, it's hard. I can't even finish brushing my teeth standing up, as the leg pain gets too bad. Meals have mainly been soup heated up or some frozen meals. I managed to make a couple of things in the slow cooker, eating some and freezing some. Even those meals you can get delivered require prep. I'm not one that's used home delivery from restaurants at all. I was finishing up season 12 of Call the Midwife. I'd been going slowly, as I didn't want it to be over, lol. I did see there will be a Christmas special and then season 13 starts Jan 7 I believe. I don't think I can record Netflix to my DVR.

Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. I'll celebrate Canadian Maple syrup and the Wright Brothers. I don't own an ugly Christmas sweater. Not sure about the sleepy conscience part of the quote. I like roast lamb, but never make it myself. Pass on the drink and on the white wine. I haven't been to Ocho Rios, and from what I hear I'm not missing anything. 2 important days in history. It's cloudy here and will be raining shortly. Then the temps will drop and we'll get some snow tomorrow, but not more than 2". I slept a little better - 3.5 hours. I didn't get more than a half hour's sleep in the recliner yesterday; but I did finish watching Call The Midwife. BFF went to the TSO concert last night; we've gone for many years, but I told him I couldn't walk to our seats or go down the steep arena steps. We really need to discuss Christmas, as I can't see how I can cook, since I can't stand very long - we should either postpone or go out to eat. @seagarsmoker @Petunia1950 Bon Voyage! @dobiemom Welcome back. Enjoy your time in Jacksonville with family. @grapau27 Condolences to Pauline's friend on the loss of her Mam, and Pauline. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. The Day of Reconciliation continues to be important for healing. I like most chocolate covered things, except peanuts. I never had any stupid toys. Good quote. The meal sounds good, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I have been to Sydney on my first HAL cruise, Auckland to Sydney, in 2006. 2 important days in history. It's the last nice day for a while. Some sunshine and a high of 55F. Rain, then rain/snow is on the way. Even if there's some snow on Tuesday, I will make it to my Neurosurgery appointment! I'm very sleepy again. I find it hard to believe my watch that says I slept 1.5 hours, but my Fitbit agrees. I did get almost 3 hours off and on in the recliner last evening. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. No cats or people to herd here. I try to donate some gifts, but others must be kept as the giver (usually BFF) will wonder where it is. I am much more a coffee person, but will occasionally have tea. Funny quote. Pass on the meal (fish), drink and wine. I haven't been to Fuerte Amador. 2 good days. I loved the film GWTW. It's lovely here today. 51F and sunny. After a sleepless night, I was up early to go to PT. I did a little less there, as I had an appointment with a urogynecologist, whom I've waited a while to see. I signed in and was waiting on going in, when they called me to the desk saying I'd need to reschedule as the doctor had just tested positive for Covid! I wonder if she'd seen any patients earlier. While disappointed, I was glad not to be exposed to her. I'm rescheduled but not until March. It can wait, and the symptoms may even be related to my spinal issues. I guess it's time to start wearing a mask in certain places again. I'm sleepy, so I may try to get in a short nap later. I had my first roast chestnuts from a street vendor in Bad Wimpfen, Germany; they were ok, as I recall. Good quote. Yes to the meal and pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Visby. 2 interesting days in history. It was partly sunny and mid-40's here today. I've spent a good part of the day in the recliner (sometimes with discomfort), as I was very sleepy this morning and also couldn't walk more than a few steps without severe leg pain. No change with the new med, but it can take weeks to work. Tomorrow I have PT and a medical appointment. Monday I see the Neurosurgeon, and will plead my case for something to be done regarding the pain. I don't see me doing much for Christmas, at this rate. @Sharon in AZ Happy Anniversary to you and Craig! @Cruzin Terri I hope DH's visit to the dentist went ok. I'm hoping your increased dose of Prednisone kicks in soon, and that you start to feel better. Is there a plan yet for the positive biopsies? @Haljo1935 Good to hear that the doctor was pleased with your progress on the frozen shoulder; and it's good there's a plan in place. @kazu It is a small world, and nice that you have a connection to the young man. It's cold here, 31F, but sunny. Yesterday was very taxing for me in terms of pain. Plus the last appointment the PA was running almost an hour late. I was concerned that it would get dark, and I don't drive hardly at all after dark. But since it was just local and not highways, it wasn't too bad. I picked up the new med after that. So far no effect (I wasn't expecting any), and I'm very sleepy. I don't have to go anywhere, so I'll try to take a nap, if my leg allows. @rafinmd I hope your appointment goes well. @StLouisCruisers Very nice photos from Dubai. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I like gingerbread cookies and cake, and looking at gingerbread houses, but have never mad one. I like ambrosia but haven't had any for a while, nor have I had a poinsettia for a number of years. Interesting quote. Maybe on the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Ravenna. Yay for Marconi! It will be a little warmer today, into the 40's. Same old 2.5 hours of sleep. I am so sleepy! Today I will pick up the Cymbalta that my PCP ordered; it's used to treat nerve pain, so maybe it'll help with sleep. My old ways of combatting the pain aren't working so well any more. I have 2 medical appointments this afternoon and hopefully will survive the walking involved. BFF asked about our Christmas plans. Usually he comes over and stays a few days. I don't want to not see him, but my house is a wreck (I can only work about 5 minutes at a time) and I don't know if I can manage the big traditional German dinner I usually go. He likely doesn't care, but I do. Will we end up eating Chinese on Christmas? @57redbird I hope you're feeling a bit better today. Take things slowly. @grapau27 Thanks for the explanations. @kazu Sorry about the damage, but at least it seems minor. I think it'll be good to see a rheumatologist; they're experts at PMR, RA and all that stuff. @RedneckBob Thanks for checking in when you could. @tupper10 Thanks. I initially saw PMR, who referred me to pain medicine, where I had an epidural steroid injection around L4-L5. It helped a little the day after, but then nothing. The pain doctor is the one who is sending me to the neurosurgeon. Nothing additional for pain; I'm on Gabapentin (dose increase isn't doing anything). a muscle relaxant I occasionally take (doesn't do anything) and ibuprofen (I don't like to take it too much due to kidney effects). I will see the Neurosurgeon next Monday and hopefully will get a plan on how to proceed.

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. Apps can be useful, and I remove ones that aren't. The food drive for needy animals is important, as is Unicef Day for Change. Love the quote. Yes to the meal (although carb laden) and the wine. Pass on the drink. I haven't been to Portland. It's cool, cloudy and windy here, with the occasional rain shower. I slept about 2.5 hours and had some weird dream (I haven't been dreaming lately). I had an appointment with my PCP this AM; bad scheduling due to rush hour. I decided to try the rollator since I had to go from the parking garage to her office. It provided support, but the pain during that walk was 10/10! I caught her up on my situation, and she was appalled at my lack of sleep for months. She's ordered me something, but it may take weeks to have an effect. I haven't heard from my pharmacy yet. Then I went to PT, where I couldn't do much due to pain. Now I'm home trying to relax and get some relief. The PC wants to update; that's a no for now, since it's working. @57redbird Prayers that your procedure was successful and you are on the road to recovery. @Heartgrove I hope your appointments went well. @kazu Jacqui, your weather sounds awful!
