I like the meal, pass on the drink, and yes to the wine if someone else is buying ($$$). I remember watching Nadia get that 10. I haven't been to Mare Island. It's still a bit hazy here, but better than yesterday; high of 82F. We're code yellow at AQI of 95, but likely to go into orange later. I think we'll finally dry out, so I can mow the lawn tomorrow. I'll be heading to PT early afternoon. And, yay, mammogram and bone density tests were both normal! I was in a study called TMIST for the past 6 years looking at 2D vs 3D mammograms (I got the latter), and this was the last year for that. @StLouisCruisers That should be a fun time in Dallas with Ren; and hopefully cooler by then. @Mr. Boston Your work days are dwindling down! @Cruzin Terri I'm sorry your tour wasn't what it was advertised to be. I have to try to find things without too much walking too, due to my knee issues. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. No tattoos here. Wrong way Corrigan flew across the Atlantic not by mistake, but he hadn't been given permission as his plane was considered not safe enough, so he made the "mistake". I like emojis if not excessive. Interesting quote, especially about love. I'll pass on the meal (don't like pesto) and drink. Yes to the wine. I haven't been to Molde. I'm back from my mammogram and bone density tests this morning. Mini rant about the cost to park in hospital garages; it's gotten so expensive! It's warm and hazy. We're in the red zone with an AQI of 156, from wildfire smoke. So I'm in for the rest of the day. There's some things in the yard that need to be done, but I was bothered before, so I won't chance it. Then thunderstorms later. The bad air quality isn't supposed to be as bad or last as long as last month's. It's the birthday of my DD friend Ruth's DM and it doesn't seem appropriate to wish her Happy Birthday. It turns out my October reservation, say 10/6/1985 was interpreted as June 10, 1985 by European style of dating. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'm not a fan of spinach, fresh or cooked. Snakes have their place, just not near me. BFF had a large one (nonpoisonous) in his backyard last year, and whenever I go there I look around carefully! I remember seeing woodie wagons when I was growing up. Let's not forget National Ice Cream Day!! I agree with the quote, to a degree; some things need to be memorized. Maybe on the meal, no on the drink (basil) and yes to the wine. An important day in history. I have not been to Busan. It's another hot and humid day here today, with possible thunderstorms this evening. Also we're supposed to get wildfire smoke tomorrow, but they can't say how bad it will be yet. I'll be inside today, watching Wimbledon tennis and doing stuff around the house. Tomorrow AM I have to get going for appointments, mammogram and bone density. After several times losing refrigerator and freezers full of food, I have a couple of indoor power sources to keep them going about a day. It's terrible, plus trying to sleep in the heat. @ger_77 Congrats on your 1st cruise Anniversary! @marshhawk Good to hear that DH got his luggage! I hope the brothers can get things straightened out about their DM. @Nickelpenny Yikes on the snake on your neck! And the big one. You're braver than I am. @RMLincoln I hope DH's physical tomorrow goes well, so there's no impediment to surgery on August 1. @RedneckBob My favorite ice cream is the hazelnut gelato in Germany (see pic below). I've tried to replicate it by making my own, but haven't gotten a satisfactory batch yet. Commercially, my favorite is Haagen Dazs Rum Raisin. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll salute Bastille Day. Sharks are great creatures, I just don't want to meet one up close. I hope for no pandemonium today. I like some mac and cheese. Good quote. Pass on the meal (fish) and drink, and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Kiriwina Island. We had storms last evening, and my lights flickered but power thankfully stayed on. It would have been very hot inside without power, although I do have a rechargeable floor fan. This morning it started off very foggy. And it is so humid! The least little activity and you're sweating. Threats of thunderstorms later. I had an early start with a haircut at 9:30. I thought I had the time wrong as they don't open until 10, but I looked out a back window at the lot of the salon, and there was a car. My guy starts an hour before everyone else comes in. Then there was PT at 11, and a quick grocery store stop since it's in the same plaza. @Seasick Sailor Happy Birthday to Allen! Congrats on Ollie coming home on Monday. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. Barbershop music is ok. I embrace my geekiness! I'll pass on Fool's Paradise Day. Funny quote. Pass on the meal (fish), maybe to the drink, and the wine sounds good but is too expensive for me. I'll salute Captain Cook. I haven't been to Moorea Island. Another hot day, with possible severe storms this evening. When I went to put out the trash last night, I realized it was a bit cooler with a nice breeze. So I decided to mow; I usually don't like dusk due to mosquitos (who love me), but I put on repellant and did it. I had to stop halfway through due to my back, and take a short sit/hydration break. When I finished my hair was dripping wet from the humidity, but I got it done! So I'll relax today. I don't know what's going on here; shootings every day. Over the weekend, a 14-year old and a 15-year old were shot and killed. And the shooters were fellow teenagers. Something has to change. @kazu I hope you feel better today, and Ivan too. @StLouisCruisers Prayers for Amy on this sad anniversary. Thanks for the Moorea photos. @cruising sister Wonderful to hear that baby Murphy is off ECMO. Speaking of cows, it reminded me of the 2015 National Park trip BFF and I did. Each day we tried to be at the next destination by dark. But on the day we did Bryce Canyon, we were running late. After Bryce we were at Kodachrome State Park. Then we took Highway 12 through Grand Staircase Escalante. And the sun started setting. And we encountered these fellows.

BFF and I spent last evening trying to send flowers to her parents. He was trying to do it online and it wouldn't complete, so he called and got someone who was hard to understand and got the spelling of the names wrong, so he had to call again. I constructed the message for the card. This AM I got a WhatsApp from Ruth's DM, so had to again send my condolences. 🥲 It's going to be hot here today and tomorrow. Sadly, I got an email this afternoon from her DM saying that my friend Ruth passed away this morning. She was only 60 and put up a brave fight against her cancer. Her parents are in their 80's and she was their only child. BFF and I are very sad as we send our condolences to her family across the pond.

My last cruise before the pause had the British musical comedy SIX in production. I have been to Cabo San Lucas on my Panama Canal cruise from LA. It's going to be hot (86F) and sunny today. Ugh, my eyes feel like they want to flare, so I'm using extra drops and will keep dark glasses on. I'm about to head out to physical therapy in a little bit. @grapau27 The rabbits are cute, as long as they don't eat anything you're growing in the garden. Please add my Birthday wishes for Fr. We're finally dry today after several days of rain. It was foggy this AM, but the sun is coming out. More rain later in the week. I'm still hobbling around due to knee pain. I have PT tomorrow, so maybe that'll help, although it's more for quad and hip flexor strengthening. @StLouisCruisers I hope all is well with the mammogram; I get mine next week. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Sugar cookies are ok, but not my favorite. I think the horizon calls all of us cruisers. Since being retired, I stick to comfy clothes and don't dress up much. Interesting quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink, can't afford the wine. I'm watching Wimbledon tennis now. My SA/Antarctica cruise left from San Antonio, as there was a strike affecting Valparaiso, but I only have pictures of the port. It's a rainy, gloomy day here today with thunderstorms. I'm glad it wasn't yesterday as there was a big Ed Sheeran stadium concert. So I'll be inside. My knees are hurting from all the steps to do laundry yesterday, and the rainy weather doesn't help. @grapau27 Thank you for the link to Fr. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Face painting can be fun - I sometimes had it done at Penguins hockey games. I like blueberries and eat them like a snack. I'll pass on motorcycles, as I don't think they're safe in traffic. Interesting quote. I like pad thai. pass on the drink, and yes to the malbec. I've never been to Omaezaki or anywhere in Japan. It's going to be another warm day, up to 86F, 67% humidity. I'll be doing stuff inside, mainly laundry. The going up and down to the basement won't be fun for my knees, but it's helping strengthen my legs hopefully (I go slowly and hold onto the handrail). BFF's pool pump pooped out, so he's not a happy camper; a new motor is on order. @grapau27 Your garden room is lovely and inviting. @kazu It sounds like Ivan is starting to improve, thankfully. @smitty34877 I hope both Lou and Tana are having a good day, as well as you and the rest of the family. @cruising sister Continued prayers for little Murphy and the family. At least the test of the repair was good. @marshhawk Some of your symptoms sound like carpal tunnel. The pain/numbness can go down into the hand and up to the elbow. Have they checked for that? I never had a father daughter walk as I was raised in a single female household. Funny quote; some stuff I put off for too long, like sorting through all the stuff I don't need any more. Pass on the meal (fish), drink and wine. A salute to Martina. The cancelled 2020 NA cruise would have gone to Civitavecchia. Thanks for all the photos. I've been to Rome, but on a land trip. It is hot and sticky here. I'm popping in between appointments. I was up and out earlier for an Ortho appointment to check on my knees since the fall. The right one is still quite painful. I declined a steroid injection today. We talked about eventual left knee replacement and maybe using a cane at times. I cancelled my haircut, although as it turns out I could have made it there in time. Then PT in early afternoon. @mamaofami Prayers for your friend Judi, that her passing is peaceful. And hugs to you. @StLouisCruisers I hope there is something that can be done for Mark. @cruising sister Many prayers for baby Murphy that she overcomes the complications and has a good surgical recovery. @smitty34877 Excellent news on the pathology report! @ger_77 Your Summerfest sounds like a fun time.
