  1. @StLouisCruisers I too hope @marshhawk Annie is ok. @Horizon chaser 1957 My usually robust hostas are looking puny this year. I don't know if it's the drought and me being away for 6 weeks. Also my hydrangeas didn't bloom at all on the old wood, as they usually do, although they have new leafage from the roots. And my roses didn't bloom! I wonder if the mild winter also had something to do with it.
  2. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Celebrating Juneteenth! I'll pass on a martini, pets can be cute in films, and no cat here (or work). I like the quote. I've had good vegetarian chili, so I like the meal (although I prefer meat in mine). Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I've heard of the Peelers as well as Bobbies from my visits to London. I have been to Puerto Madryn. Our temps are ramping up this week, with increased humidity. Also another air quality alert, with our AQI going to 104 (code orange), unhealthy for sensitive groups. @StLouisCruisers Good luck to Ren and team tomorrow! @summer slope I've been meaning to ask how your friend with the brain injury is doing? @aliaschief Rest up on your sea day. Thanks for the food photos. @ottahand7 I too felt odd watching the US Open so late at night. Nice photos. @smitty34877 I hope the meeting with the oncologist is informative, and good to have DD and DSIL to help navigate all the medical hurdles. @Cruzin Terri I'm glad your bags arrived. I'm sure the stress has contributed to your tiredness, and hope you feel better today (I agree with getting outside in the fresh air). @dfish Thanks for the recipes. @cruising sister Sorry to hear the kids lost out on the house; I'm sure these days it's so hard to purchase a house. @Quartzsite Cruiser Yikes on that heat! @Heartgrove Interesting about choosing paint colors; it's not easy! @rafinmd Thanks for the sunrise photo. Prayers for the Care List and a Cheer for those with something to Celebrate. Copied from last year's post. Approaching Puerto Madryn At the Punta Tombo Penguin Reserve, where we spent our time ashore. Family meeting Guanaco Zaandam docked Beach by the dock Seals on the dock. They followed us out as we left.

  5. Good morning. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there! I'm not a fisherperson, I try not to panic and haven't been on a picnic in forever. Excellent quote. I'll pass on the meal (tofu), and maybe for the drink. Can't afford the wine. I'll salute Amelia Earhart. I was in Rotterdam for the first time on my recent transatlantic. We did a ship tour that took us to Schiphol for our flight to Germany. It's going to be another nice day, sunny, warm (high of 81), but we have an air quality alert. Next week it's going to be hot, with temps in the upper 80's and more humid. I don't have anything special planned for today. I never celebrated Father's Day, as I was adopted by a single female. Main task is laundry, which is challenging going up and down to the basement. I do have a PT appointment on Tuesday; I decided to go with a private group rather than one connected to the health system I use, as I wasn't happy with my sessions the last couple of years. @grapau27 Thank you for the link to Fr. David's sermon, and letting us know his birthday. And I agree he looks younger without the beard. @aliaschief Nice photos and it looks like you're having great time. @StLouisCruisers Great photos. Good luck to Ren and his team today. @kazu That sounds like a crazy storm! @Cruzin Terri I'm glad you made it to London, but so sorry to hear about your bags. Some airlines on their app have a way to track bags. What does the airline have to say about this? @ottahand7 The blooms are lovely. @cruising sister Fingers crossed that the offer on the house is accepted. @Cruising-along @Overhead Fred Thanks for the photos of Rotterdam. Prayers for those in need and Cheers for those celebrating.

  7. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I will eat my vegetables today. No road trip today for me, although BFF and I did 2 big ones (5k+ miles) in the past, concentrating on National Parks, which I had never visited. These days with how people drive, I'm not sure I'll do one again. I'll salute juggling although I can't do it. Excellent quote. Maybe on the meal, although I'd prefer beef. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine, but it's over my budget. I've been past Colon on my Panama Canal cruise, but we didn't stop there. It's forecast to be a very nice weekend here; 78F today and 80F tomorrow. The air quality is a bit worse today (AQI 126), unhealthy for sensitive groups. I don't have any specific plans. I've been relaxing, catching up on watching Bridgerton, lol. @StLouisCruisers Good luck to Ren and his team today! @ottahand7 Good news on the road work starting soon. @kazu Enjoy the lobster meal. @mamaofami Have a great time at dinner tonight. @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the photos. @Cruzin Terri I hope all goes to plan with your flights. Exciting that you're on your way! Prayers for all in need and Cheers for those celebrating.

  9. @srdancer Sorry to hear about the diagnosis. I took a couple of rounds of antibiotics recently, and took probiotics, in an attempt to avoid C. Diff.
  10. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Fresh veggies are the best, but I often buy frozen to minimize waste. I love waterfalls and photograph them a lot. NA's are an important component of healthcare staffing. Great quote. Pass on the meal (fish) and drink, yes to the wine. A salute to the first woman in space. I haven't been to Airlie Beach. I did manage to get the lawn mowed yesterday. It wasn't too bad as it wasn't hot, and was overcast; but the grass pollen count was very high and that bothered me. Then we had lightning, thunder and much needed rain that woke me about midnight. It's cloudy today. Downtown is going to be very busy here; Taylor Swift concerts tonight and tomorrow at the stadium, and Juneteenth events from today through Monday. I'll stay in the suburbs where I live. Prayers for the victims of the tornadoes in Texas. @aliaschief Enjoy Bordeaux! @StLouisCruisers So sorry to hear the news about Mark; continued prayers for him and his family, and you. Good luck to Ren and his team, and I hope they aren't attacked by any opposing players. @kazu I hope your back doesn't hurt too much. @ottahand7 Sorry it's taking so long for the road repair. Beautiful irises. @St Pete Cruiser Beautiful sunset! @smitty34877 Continued prayers for DH and you as you travel through this journey. @Cruzin Terri Safe travels today and tomorrow. @Horizon chaser 1957 Wow on the email situation. @dobiemom Thanks goodness SIL was able to fix the car issue for you. 12. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I enjoy nature photography. Prunes get a bad rap; I like them. Smiles have great power. Great quote. Pass on the meal (fish), drink and wine (only due to cost). I haven't been to Lerwick. It's sunny here and going into the 70's. Later we may get rain. We are getting smoke again from the wildfires, but it's high aloft, causing haziness but the air quality is ok so far. I have already made a quick trip to the grocery store and to the PO to get estimated taxes mailed. I will mow the lawn when I'm finished here. That will be a bit of a chore, as my knee is hurting and my hands (mainly the right thumb). I missed one of my RA med shots in April and one in May, due to being on antibiotics. So my hand joints are protesting. At least I'm starting to feel that whatever this respiratory thing is, it's finally resolving after 4 weeks (working outdoors during the bad air from smoke didn't help). @aliaschief Enjoy Bilbao and thanks for the photos. @StLouisCruisers Great to hear that your DB is feeling better with the medication. Lovely photos from Lerwick. @0106 Great photo from Assateague. @smitty34877 I'm sure DH will enjoy the treats. So nice that their was laughter around your table! @ger_77 Happy Birthday to your DS! @St Pete Cruiser Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. @Quartzsite Cruiser Ugh on that humidity! Thanks for the Lerwick pictures. @Cruzin Terri Safe travels tomorrow. @Heartgrove Your house is lovely; it'll be interesting to see it after the color changes. @cruising sister I understand hating conflict, but please don't isolate yourself because of that one person. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those with something to Celebrate. Be well everyone.

  14. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll celebrate flag day; I fly the US Flag every day. Pass on bourbon, I like exploring family history and salute the US Army. I'm sure we all have moments we'd like to freeze and live in. I'll pass on the meal, drink and wine. I haven't been to Red Bay. Another cool day, but the rain has stopped for now. I have another doctor's appointment this afternoon, then need to pick up a prescription and maybe stop at the grocery store. @grapau27 It seems quite warm where you are these days. I loved my one Panama Canal cruise, and would love to do it again; I had no issue with insects. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for the Red Bay photos. @kazu Love the memes. @aliaschief Nice to see these places in Spain that I might not get to. @dfish Sorry to hear that one sibling didn't appreciate your family research efforts. @smitty34877 Prayers for you and DH as you navigate through this treatment. And having worked in healthcare I understand the gallows humor. @Cruzin Terri You have a lot going on. On my recent trip, I needed a 38 day mail hold. Can't do that online. Since my PO is small and they know me from all my ebay shipping, I went and talked to the supervisor there. She let me submit 2 hold cards, one for 30 days and the other for 8. I have a mail slot in my front door, so I really could have just let mail continue, but I wanted to lock my storm door for added security. Congrats on the hotel upgrade to a suite! @kplady Nice Red Bay photos. @Sharon in AZ Safe travels and enjoy Mt. Lemmon. Your comments remind me of when BFF and I went up Pike's Peak and Mt. Evans on our road trips out west; he did the driving. @cruising sister That's awful how that woman is treating you; I hope it doesn't keep you from doing things with your group of friends. @marshhawk Good to hear you're sleeping better. And kudos to you both on the smoking cessation efforts. @Quartzsite Cruiser That cake is impressive. Great memes. @rafinmd Happy Heavenly Birthday to your DB. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List.

  16. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. This year no garden to weed, since I was away at main planting time. For someone that doesn't sew much, I have 3 sewing machines. My DM sewed a lot and I have her in cabinet White sewing machine, as well as a vintage Singer featherweight machine. And I have one I bought for myself, mainly to hem or mend things. Softball is fun, but I've not played since elementary school. Good quote. The meal sounds good, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I've never been to Key West (and key lime is my favorite pie). The November cruise we cancelled due to BFF's DD DF's illness was to have stopped there as first port of call. It's a cool day here today, 60's, but sunny, with rain tonight. The NCS/EMG was not fun yesterday; because I have some swelling in my legs, the doctor had to push those needles far into the tissues. I was hurting after it, but that's gone now. From his preliminary comments I think it looked ok; he's thinking I may need another MRI of the low back to evaluate for spinal stenosis. Otherwise, just hanging out at home today, tidying up. @puppycanducruise Welcome home! @smitty34877 Prayers that your visits to the surgeon and then the cardiologist and internist go smoothly. @ottahand7 Thanks for the photos. @cat shepard That's a great sky picture. @kazu It sounds like you've made good progress with the elbow, and I know you'll get that mobility around the incision back. Good memes. @Sharon in AZ Nice Key West photos. @aliaschief Wow on the food. But as a non-seafood eater, I'd have to find something else to eat. @marshhawk Sorry to hear about the service at the restaurant, but hope that the food was good. @dfish It's good to hear you're sleeping better since your surgery, and could lower your diabetes meds. @GTVCRUISER Thanks for the photos. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

  18. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I like jerky sometimes, peanut butter cookies and red roses. Good quote. I like the meal (but rarely eat it due to carbs/sugar), pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I like Roy's meal too. I haven't been to Sharm El Sheikh. It's cooler and cloudy here. We had some rain last night, and more due the next few days, which we need. I had planned to have another day at home today. But I got an early call from my Health System. When I saw the Neurologist last week, he ordered a nerve conduction/EMG study. The first I could schedule was August. They called this morning and said they had a few earlier openings, and could I come in this afternoon? So I'll be doing that later. Then maybe look for a pair of black flats; I returned the ones I'd bought for the cruise, as they were uncomfortable. @catmando Happy Birthday! Nice to see you posting here. Congrats on the decision to stop smoking! You can do it! Beautiful photo you shared. @aliaschief Thanks for sharing your cruise. @kazu Oh my on getting stung by whatever that was. I hope you feel ok today. @dfish Safe travels home. @rafinmd You've got a busy day. Good luck with the oral surgeon. @Norseh2o Enjoy your time in France. @ger_77 That's disturbing news about your friend's GI issues and weight loss. @grapau27 It looks like you had great weather for your cruise. @Quartzsite Cruiser Good to hear you didn't have any bad damage from the storm. @St Pete Cruiser I'm glad you're slowly healing from that scary, life-threatening spider bite you had. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast for those Celebrating. Be well everyone.

  20. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I like corn on the cob (Jersey corn!), and will salute King Kamehameha and Cousteau. I like the quote. Pass on the meal (fish), drink and wine ($$$). I have been to Seville Spain. It's another partly sunny and warm day today, but rain is forecast for tonight, which we really need. There's still a bit of smoke, but particulates are down to 94, with ozone 64. I'm feeling somewhat better, although still with some respiratory symptoms. Despite watching the French Open, I'm getting a few things done, including paying bills. I had a call yesterday from a mentor of mine, who with his wife were like my PA parents when my DM was in NJ and after her passing. They will be celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary later this month, and were inviting me to a party! He'll be 96 this fall, and his bride is a couple of years younger. @0106 Nice photos. @grapau27 Thanks for the link to Fr. David's sermon. And welcome home! Lovely photos. @cat shepard Thanks for the wine info. Unfortunately with the state control of alcohol here in PA, no wine at Aldi's. It's only been recently that some grocery stores have been allowed to sell wine. @kazu Good news on the progress against the NS fires. And yay for finishing the paperwork! @smitty34877 I'm glad you spoke up and asked for family help; sometimes it's hard to ask, but necessary. @1ANGELCAT @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the photos. @Cruzin Terri I'm glad you're feeling better with the prednisone. @Heartgrove Thanks for sharing Sue's photos. @Seasick Sailor Be safe in that heat! Sorry you have water restrictions too. @ger_77 That was so nice of your Ukrainian friends. @marshhawk You're quite busy, so a schedule will be helpful. @cruising sister Wow, 94 days is a lot to keep up with. @kochleffel That sounds like it was quite the service and lunch for your departing rabbi. 23. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I use ball point pens all the time. Herbs and spices certainly help to flavor our food. I often drink iced tea when dining out. Great quote. Not a big lo mein fan. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine if someone buys it for me. I haven't been to Lembar, Lombok. It will be a nice day here today, sunny and not too hot. Rain tomorrow (yay!) after 21 days without! The air quality is improving, but I'll still stay inside today. I took a Tessalon perle last night to help with the cough, and another this morning. I still have some congestion, so I'll see how that does today. I'll do some sorting of things, still trying to get rid of stuff I don't need. The plaque placing for BFF's Dad was nice, but he discovered last night that his DF's birth year was wrong! So he'll try to get that corrected. We had a nice lunch after with a few friends. @dfish Great photos from the lake house. @Heartgrove Good news on Sue's echocardiogram. @marshhawk Sorry you had a rough night last night. @kazu Sorry to hear it is smoky where you are, and the difficulty walking Ivan. @aliaschief Looks like a great time! @Denise T HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎂 @cat shepard Annie's DH is Chuck.
