  1. The sun is trying to peak out here. I always find that lifts the spirit and makes it easier to do things around the house, rather than just sitting. @durangoscots Sorry to hear about more deaths of people doing outdoor sports in dangerous conditions. I hope you can figure out what's going on with Monty's patch of hair loss. @AncientWanderer When was your cruise on the Golden Princess? Mine was in also in 2004, early October for a big birthday. I'd think learning to ski that early is the way to go. @kochleffel Thanks for the additional information about Holy Experiment Day. @Cruzin Terri I'm glad the tilers are there today working. And that the tv table is together, despite the aggravation of getting it done. @smitty34877 Nice to see your family having fun.
  2. Good morning. Interesting days. I'll salute Holy Experiment Day. I'd hug a GI if one was around. I like watching marching bands at college football games and in parades. Interesting quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink and wine. My first ever cruise, on Golden Princess, departed from San Juan. We flew in the day before, but didn't see much, do I'd like to go back. Thanks for all the photos! It was very windy here last evening. My area was ok except for some tree limbs down, but around me there were trees down, gas station roofs down, and power outages. Not sure what I'll do today. Maybe laundry. Of course tidying up as usual. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up today. Lovely photos. @Crazy For Cats Nice pictures, Jake. @rafinmd I hope you are feeling a bit stronger these days. Thank you for your photos and sharing you blog post from San Juan. @ottahand7 Enjoy the river boat and canoe trips. @marshhawk I'm glad you were safe during the storm, even with the water being off. @summer slope I hope the prednisone works for your kitty. @GTVCRUISER Nice photos. @cat shepard You did well with your phone shot of the planets. @dfish Thanks for the recipes. 4. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. Caregivers are special and should be appreciated every day! It would be wonderful if everyone could be happy. If pets had thumbs they'd get into all kinds of mischief! Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal (fish is a no for me), drink and wine. I haven't been to Charlottetown. It's cloudy and we're supposed to get high winds this afternoon and heavy rain; there's also a winter storm watch. Hopefully no power issues due to the wind. I had a weird night. I woke up at 4 to go to the bathroom, then felt like I couldn't breathe when I put my CPAP back on. I gave it 2 tries, then left it off and fell back asleep. I ended up getting about 9 hours of sleep total, waking up occasionally (I posted the Care List during one of those times, lol). @StLouisCruisers Thank you for our start this morning. @rafinmd I'm glad you got home before the cold rain starts. @summer slope So sorry to hear about your kitty's issue; I hope it's easily treatable. @kazu Wow on all that snow! 6. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I have lots of old stuff, some I'm trying to get rid of; but my antique furniture and things handed down I'll keep. Cat rescue is important. It's also National Read Across America day here. Good quote. The meal sounds interesting. I'll pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Trondheim. Today will be nice, partly sunny, not quite as warm as yesterday. High winds and rain tonight and tomorrow. I spent most of last evening trying to settle my eye down. It seems better today, and I'll keep an eye on it (no pun intended). I slept about 8 hours, but had a couple of doses of Benadry due to my injection. No special plans for today. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today. Lovely Trondheim photos. @kazu Probably the physio that stirred up the elbow discomfort; I hope it's better today. @Mr. Boston Enjoy Curacao today. @GTVCRUISER Great photo. @smitty34877 Prayers for DH and you. 8. Good evening. It was a gorgeous day here today. Now it's thundering! And my eye is red and light sensitive, sigh. I hope the pharmacy can find a bottle of my strong drops which were out of stock; I have one, but want a backup.. I spent time going through scads of herbal meds at BFF's Dad's place. Most was expired and of questionable value. He paid lots for it, and I think much of it had no real value. Then I went through 3 large drawers of photo equipment. What a collection! When we get back from our trip, I may try to put some up for sale on ebay. @durangoscots Sorry to hear about the roof leak. I'm sure you can't wait until you're off the BOD of the shelter. @luvteaching Good to hear about the nice conversation with DH when you couldn't be there. @marshhawk Oh my on you and DH both being ill after having dinner. I hope you're ok today. @Cruising-along @Sharon in AZ Thanks for the Saguenay photos. @kazu It sounds like your therapy is going well and you have a good PT person. @StLouisCruisers Good news on the blood tests. I am so sorry to hear about your DB's condition, and the cost of the medications. All these new cutting edge treatments are so expensive; I hope he can get assistance with the cost. Prayers for him. I had an acquaintance with IPF, and he got a lung transplant. @Quartzsite Cruiser Excellent news about DH's report from the surgeon.
  9. Good morning. Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit! I'll salute pigs since I like bacon and pork roast. The Peace Corps is a great organization. I love peanut butter, only crunchy, and have some every day usually just on a spoon for a snack. Interesting quote. I like the meal (and it's appropriate for pig day!). I'll pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Saguenay. It's going to be a nice day here. It's already 44F and sunny, going up to 67F. It's injection day for me, so I've already premedicated myself. Late morning I'm going over to BFF's and we'll work in his DD DF's house doing more sorting and organizing; he's already donated loads of clothes. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today. I'm glad you got a better night's sleep. I'll be trying to stay awake after my Benadryl I just took this morning. @smitty34877 Prayers for DH and you as he undergoes his evaluations. @rafinmd Good news on your sleeping better last night. @ottahand7 I always thought cruising the Amazon would be incredible. Enjoy! @Seasick Sailor I hope you get some rest today. @cat shepard Good to hear that Bindi is more her old self now. @mamaofami Sorry to hear of the medical issues; feel better soon. I'm glad DD wasn't affected by the tornado! @aliaschief HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Enjoy that lobster dinner later. @dfish Thanks for the recipes. And your dining room looks very inviting for family meals. @ger_77 That is so clever to find old afghans to turn into smaller blankets. Nice of the denturist to not charge DH. @grapau27 Nice lunch. @Quartzsite Cruiser Best to DH on his checkup. @cl8ssy ch8ssis Welcome to the Daily! Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.

  11. Good morning on this last day of February. I have tried making some silk floral arrangements for the house, with help from a friend. Love chili. I don't sleep in public; I can't sleep sitting up, have to be horizontal. True quote. The meal sounds great, although no pasta for me right now. I'll pass on the drink and wine (too $$$). I was in Christchurch on my first HAL cruise, Auckland to Sydney, but didn't see the city. It is gray, cloudy and windy so far today, although 42F. Yesterday I managed to get my tax paperwork submitted to my accountant. Today I want to work on getting my new auto and homeowner's insurance. @StLouisCruisers Thank you for starting the Fleet Report/Daily today. Sorry to hear of your poor sleep last night. I almost feel guilty that I've been sleeping well. @kazu Hopefully no issues when you need to go to physio. @ger_77 Oh my on DH's ongoing dental issues. Hopefully an easy fix. Sorry about the email issues. I periodically save a file of email from my email client; since I backup the PC to an external hard drive I could get it from there if needed. @ottahand7 Thanks for sharing your photos. @rafinmd I hope the appointment goes well today. @dfish Woohoo on finally getting the additional dining room chairs. @superoma Happy Anniversary! @Cruzin Terri Sorry to hear your stomach is being sensitive. @marshhawk That's unnerving about the house next door and your storage room. Do you have any outside cameras, like Blink? That way you could tell if anyone was on your property. @kochleffel Sorry you're still lacking energy and want to sleep; hopefully that improves soon. @cruising sister Safe travels and have a great time! Prayers for the Care List and a Toast for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone. In Christchurch, we went to the International Antarctic Centre, so didn't see the city. 13. Welcome to the Daily! And those are wonderful photos. Sandi, I'll let you in on my "secret". Since I'm on my PC, I keep two windows open, and go back and forth between the two for my long posts; no note taking! When I'm away and am on my iPad, it will be harder, and I may not be able to do a good job. Awww, so wonderful that the grandchildren wanted to see you and give you a hug. Just precious.
  14. Good evening. It's been raining here most of the afternoon. @cruising Katie So sorry about your cat Jerry. You gave him a good life. Hugs to you. @bennybear Great photos. @durangoscots Awful about the avalanches and people getting caught in them, possibly also endangering rescuers. @ger_77 A PST file is an Outlook Personal Information Store file. It is used to store items like calendar events, contacts, and email messages. You should be able to import it into Outlook to have your old messages reappear.
  15. Good Monday morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I like polar bears, although I've only seen them in zoos. No brainer day is a no brainer! I salute retro day, living in a 100+ year old house. Nice quote. I'd like the meal, minus the bread. Maybe on the drink (sans chili powder) and no to the wine. I've never been to Andalsnes. We're due for rain starting around noon and high winds. So I'll be inside today I think. I managed to gather all my tax information yesterday, so now I need to scan it into the computer and upload to my accountant via a secure portal. Otherwise I'm still trying to declutter around here. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting the FR/Daily today. Milo is so cute and I hope Sadie won't be a bad influence on him, lol. Good to hear you slept better last night. Nice photos from Andalsnes, although sorry you were still feeling the effects from Covid when there. I hope DS and DDIL enjoy themselves, and the boys do fine on their own. @grapau27 Thanks for the Art Deco buildings photos. @kazu Great memes. @Cruzin Terri Sorry no workers today, and I hope that you like the new tv table when it comes. @Mr. Boston Thanks for checking in and enjoy the warm weather! @cat shepard Sorry visitors upset Bindi. @rafinmd How's the foot swelling? @dfish Thanks for the recipes. That canopy walk you showed looks a little scary. @marshhawk Nice that your friends Charles and Ann are joining you on the cruise. Great story about DH fixing your "commode"! @ger_77 What a pain with the email issue, and that you have to go in person about it. @smitty34877 Sorry you are still having issues with getting steady help. Thank goodness for Tana's nurse friend. And prayers for DH with his medical appointments. @1ANGELCAT Longwood Gardens is a lovely place. Thanks for the photos. @superoma How nice to have your DSIL here. Enjoy the dinner, kaffee und kuchen, and the family party! @cruising sister Safe travels tomorrow and enjoy Las Vegas! @aliaschief Great polar bears photo. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List (let me know if I left anyone off). Stay well everyone.

  17. Good morning. Thank you @richwmn for your work so the Fleet Report/Daily could continue while you're on your World Cruise. I'll salute carnivals, although growing up at a boardwalk on the Jersey shore I had all the elements of a carnival right at hand. We should seize the day every day! I like pistachios, but they are expensive! Love the quote, being a big Jane Austen fan. I'll pass on the meal and drink, yes to the wine. I haven't been to Safaga. It's partly sunny and warming into the upper 40's. I have some household chores I'd like to do today. BFF came over yesterday, which made me put off doing stuff. I need to clean up a lot of leaves on my sidewalk up against the retaining wall, but not sure I'll do that today. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today. Sorry you had a bad night's sleep. Lovely seasonal tree by DD. @Crazy For Cats Wow, what a deal on cat food! Sad that the rescue limits its donations so strictly. @grapau27 I appreciate you posting Fr. David's sermon today. Good news about how Sarah is doing. @cat shepard It sounds like you're having great family time. I hope this visit has helped DGN. @ottahand7 Thanks for sharing your cruise goings on. Good to hear those who had health issues are ok. @kazu Hugs to you on your DM's passing anniversary. And you reminded me that my DM passed on Feb 25, 1993. Good to hear you got out with friends last night. @rafinmd Nice to hear you slept well last night. @Cruzin Terri So sorry about the master bath delays. And oh no on the only toilet issues; thank goodness for the neighbor handyman! @0106 I have read all of the books you mentioned yesterday. @dfish I am sure you made your family friend's day! And so nice that you will continue to visit her. @summer slope Thank you for our daily drink recipes. Don't you hate when something makes so much more work? 19. Checking in, but a friend is coming by shortly, so likely won't see sail-away.
  20. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily preparation @richwmn. Pistols can be a problem in the wrong hands. I sometimes feel like I'm saying tongue twisters just in normal conversation. I may have to open a bottle tonight, although it might not be wine 🤯. Interesting quote. I've made mashed potatoes in my Instant Pot, but no carby potatoes currently for me. I'll pass on the drink and wine ($$$). I haven't been to Aarhus. It's in the 20's and cloudy now, but we're expecting a high of 46. It seems my issue of trouble falling asleep has improved. I think I may be seeing some help from the hip injection, although it may take a week to fully take effect. No special plans for today, other than continuing to do some sorting, donating and organizing of "stuff". @StLouisCruisers Thank you for starting the FR/Daily today. Lovely Aarhus photos. @Lady Hudson Enjoy Charleston. @RMLincoln We'll be looking for you all at sail-away. Good news about DH tolerating the eye meds better. @kazu Great memes. @aliaschief Good to hear your appointment went well. And I hope the back pain is gone soon. @rafinmd That's good that you slept well. Do you have a recliner so you can put your feet up for a while daily? @1ANGELCAT Interesting about the "mud" sale. Most of the VFD's here are now into their Friday Fish Frys, although some dropped out as the county health department is requiring a food permit. @ger_77 Congrats on the new computer. My keyboard has worn letters too. Fortunately I don't need to look at the keys. @marshhawk (((Hugs)) to you and Chuck. Although you did what was best for Neko, it was no doubt heartbreaking. @HAL Sailer You've been through a lot; time to take care of you. @MISTER 67 Nice to see your post. Belated Happy Birthday! And keep golfing! Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
