  1. Good Sunday morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. I like chocolate mint candy, like Andes, and mint chocolate chip ice cream. A salute to Iwo Jima and Veteran women, not "girls". Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal, drink and wine. I haven't been to Zanzibar. It's mostly sunny and will be in the low 50's today. I need to do laundry, and perhaps some meal prep for the week. This week will be busy, with a Hematology appointment tomorrow, stress test on Wednesday and hip bursa injection on Friday. Ugh, I never spent so much time at doctors' offices! @cat shepard Thank you for starting the FR/Daily today. @grapau27 Thanks for posting Fr. David's sermon. Condolences to Sarah on the loss of her friend, and to her friend's family. @rafinmd I'm pleased to hear you had a good night. @kazu I hope all your efforts with the insurance company pay off. @AncientWanderer Enjoy a relaxing day. @ottahand7 I'm glad you enjoyed Rio, and thanks for the photos. I hope you get all your laundry back. Oh my on that truck into a house; prayers your house is ok. @Quartzsite Cruiser I appreciate the pictures of Iwo Jima. Nice that they did that wreath ceremony. @dfish That is wonderful that your move was the right decision, and that you are happy. @smitty34877 Kudos to Tana for trying to do a little more, and not giving up. She remains in my prayers. @cunnorl We understand. Post when you can. And enjoy golfing. @ger_77 Oh no on the dental issue and needing a crown. @StLouisCruisers I'm glad you made it home safely; driving on interstates can be scary the way people drive nowadays. @marshhawk It sounds like you're making progress on your plans for your cruise. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers to those with things to Celebrate. Stay well everyone.

  3. Nice hike. My local grocery store just emailed today that they have Paczki in the bakery department; there's a large Polish descent population here.
  4. Afternoon check-in. @kplady Great whale photo. @Seasick Sailor Wonderful pictures, Joy, of you, the baby and the family. Love the whale pic too. @Cruising-along I can tell you're tickled to have the kitties there with you. @GTVCRUISER @XBGuy @bennybear Awesome photos. @Sharon in AZ That was my error about @lindaler. She'll be home 3/18, not 2/18. I'll correct it tomorrow. @USN59-79 Great news about your leg, Ray. @RMLincoln My passport arrival stated 2/3, but it was about 5 days late. I couldn't tell from tracking where it was held up. Fingers crossed for DS's to arrive in time. Sorry to hear that DH still has issues with the glaucoma meds; prayers that nothing interferes with his getting the stents. @dfish Great whale photos from Sitka. And nice light fixture. @ger_77 Nice find on the earrings that will also benefit the Diabetes Society.
  5. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily and to all contributors. Batteries seem a necessity these days, whether disposable or rechargeable. Yay, national drink wine day! (although I've had none for about 4 months). I love seeing whales when cruising; we need to protect them. I'd thought it was "I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of time", until Rich added the rest. The soup sounds good. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Ishigakijima Island. It's sunny here, 25F and going into the 40's. I'll mainly be doing some little projects around the house. @cat shepard Thank you for starting us up today. @puppycanducruise Lovely orchid. Sadly my 2 died last year. I'd like to get another one. @Cruzin Terri Enjoy your last cruise day. Safe travels tomorrow. I hope you find that your house is nearly done when you return home. @kazu I'm glad you got back before the mess. The weather sounds ugly there. @ottahand7 Wow, you arrived in Rio right at the start of Carnival. I'd imagine it's crazy there. Sorry your tours were cancelled. Sorry to hear your ship friend had to be taken off due to breathing issues. Great photos! @rafinmd Good to hear that you slept better. @dfish Thanks for the recipes. I hope you find a light you like. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone. Orcas in Antarctica

  7. It's my understanding you can get test kits every calendar month. I plan to get some next week, and maybe toward the end of March, for my April trip. Beautiful sunset! Another great photo. I hope to get to see them one day. Good news that the new case is more comfortable. @tupper10 Sorry to hear surgery might be necessary.
  8. Good morning. Thank you to all contributors to the Fleet Report/Daily. I am all for doing random acts of kindness, whenever possible. Caregivers are to be saluted every day; it's a tough job. Public science is important. Wonderful quote by Mother Teresa. I like my subs with meat (and ditch the bun). I'll pass on the drink. I like the wine although it's a bit above my budget. I haven't been to Scrabster. It's colder today, cloudy, with wind chills in the teens. No special plans here, other than doing some repair on a couple of clothing items for BFF (is that a random act of kindness?) and straightening up around the house. @cat shepard Thank you for starting us up today. @ottahand7 I'm enjoying your photos. @marshhawk Take care of yourself! @kazu Be careful if you do go out. Great memes. @mamaofami Good to hear that your checkups came out ok. @Lady Hudson Way to go on the walking! @Cruzin Terri Although it will be work, it will be so nice to have your house back together again. @aliaschief You can check online, as some of the expiration dates on Covid tests have been extended. https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/coronavirus-covid-19-and-medical-devices/home-otc-covid-19-diagnostic-tests#list @kochleffel Good news on the negative test! @StLouisCruisers Ha ha on that towel arrangement! @Quartzsite Cruiser Great photos from Scrabster. @ger_77 Condolences on the passing of your friend's daughter. Wow, Canada has fast passport service! @rafinmd I'm glad you had the energy to do some errands, but sad that your sleep is still not good. @grapau27 Thanks for the explanation of National Science Day. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those with something to Celebrate. Stay well everyone.

  10. Good morning. Thanks @richwmn for setting things up to continue the Fleet Report/Daily while you cruise. I don't know a grouch to do a favor. I'm still afraid to cut the cable cord. A salute to innovation. Interesting quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine if someone buys it for me. I haven't been to Barcelona. I was to have embarked there on my cancelled 2020 HAL cruise; seeing La Sagrada Familia was/is a bucket list item We broke a record by hitting 70F today. Now the temps have dropped and we're due for rain later. I am meeting with a new insurance person later, as I think my home and auto plans cost way too much. Then help BFF work on his DD DF's house some. @cat shepard Thank you for starting us up today. @grapau27 Sorry to hear you both have coughs, but good that your tests were negative. Wow, great photo of the Northern Lights! @rafinmd I hope the results are positive from your tests. Keep working on getting more sleep. @kazu Enjoy your time out of the house and lunch with your friend. @0106 Nice food photos. @aliaschief Stay safe from the storms tonight! @StLouisCruisers Nice to hear from you. Too bad you had to miss Costa Maya. @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the Barcelona photos. @marshhawk Good for you for taking a day off with DH. Good news that Fern is out of the coma, and that her sister is caring for her cat; I hope the doctors can figure out what happened to her. @ktbraun Welcome home. Today’s care list: Roy slowly improving; more tests ordered Tupper10 with back pain despite epidural Cruising sister’s niece with seizure disorder, looking for new employment 36,000+ deaths after Turkish & Syrian earthquakes Citizens of Ukraine From the rotation: Cruising sister recovering from hand surgery Jacqui recovering from elbow surgery Scrapnana undergoing chemotherapy Status of St. Louis Sal (7/1) and JAM37 (7/7) Celebrations and Shout outs: Cat Shepherd’s great job in starting the Fleet Report/Daily every day Seasick Sailor visiting family in San Diego Kochleffel feeling better Tupper10’s son released from the hospital 2 days for Seasick Sailor (Koningsdam 2/18 to 3/25) 2 days for 57redbird (Koningsdam 2/18 to 3/25) StLouisCruisers (Sky Princess to 2/18), Cruzin Terri (Oceania Sirena to 2/19), Norseh2o (Oceania Marina to 4/6), Lindaler and Ottahand7 (Volendam to 3/18), and Cat in My Lap, Gail&Marty, Richwmn and HorizonChaser1957 (Zuiderdam to 5/12) at sea
  12. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. Not a fan of gum drops. I'm a part of singles awareness, and I'll salute Susan B Anthony. In college I was in an all female dorm for two years; it was disheartening when truckloads of flowers were delivered on Valentine's Day, and none for me. Funny quote. The meal sounds good. I'll pass on the drink and wine (only due to cost). I haven't been to Semarang. It's 61F, cloudy and very windy. I had a nice day yesterday; I was able to eat my dinner and still be low carb (salad, steak and broccoli). The scale hasn't moved in a couple of weeks, but I can tell a difference in how clothes fit. Only scheduled things today are giving myself my injection and getting my hair cut. It's terrible about the train derailment and poisonous chemicals released in East Palestine; I'm only about 52 miles from there. @cat shepard Thank you for starting us up today. @Seasick Sailor Safe travels and enjoy seeing family! @kazu It sounds like you're making progress, despite some pain; keep up the good work! So nice of your friend and neighbor to bless you with flowers. @Lady Hudson How sweet of DH to do that for his caretaker. @rafinmd I hope your test is easy today. Also hoping you can start to get more sleep. @tupper10 I hope you don't have too much pain today as you do your errands. @ottahand7 Gorgeous photo. Nice dinner! @smitty34877 Continued prayers for Tana and your family. @dfish Thank you for the recipes. I once ate at Paul Prudhomme's restaurant in NOLA and had the gumbo, yum, many years ago (1980's I think). I hope your appointment went well. @kochleffel Thanks for the information. @Cruzin Terri Sounds like maybe Noro virus on board? Happened on one cruise I was getting on; embarkation was delayed while they did extra cleaning. Nothing on the tables (salt, etc) initially, then after a few days, back to normal. @grapau27 Lovely photo of Pauline. You two are blessed to have each other. @1ANGELCAT I hope you can get the Botox; it's a mess what we have to go through. I just had a med triple in price; I'm going to try to use GoodRx when I go to pick it up. Prayers for the Care List and a toast to the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
