  1. Not cruising over Thanksgiving but doing our first Caribbean Dec 4th next year on Refection . Will defiantly decorate our stateroom door . Classy decorations only though !!! Haha .
  2. Sorry if this post has already appeared but cant see it !!!!! Is Celebrity’s basic wifi package ok for surfing and posting my daily travel blog and photos to my fb page? Nothing else .
  3. Just done a back to back from Southampton to NY and back . 2 hours comp internet going over and 2 hours comp internet coming straight back
  4. Excellent . So excited . Wish it was this Dec though . Got a Nile Cruise in Feb so will make do with that. First time too.
  5. December 4 th next year we are doing our first Caribbean cruise ever, 10 nights .We will be on Reflection . I know it is ages away but i am so excited !! Is it likely that she will be dressed up for Christmas or is that too early?
  6. I totally agree !!! Got back a few weeks ago from the b to b Transatlantic from Southampton . God the formal ladies evening ware was like being at a wake !!! Please wear colour !! I did
  7. That is why we only eat in the extra charge restaurants in the evenings on any cruise, any cruise line we travel with . We budget for it and then we know the standard of food and service will be high ,so we are never disappointed. We are not heavy drinkers so never buy a drinks package but we are foodies . We eat one night in the buffet then followed by night in paid venues and so on .. Most lunchtimes we ate in the Britannia, the food was good but the staff were miserable . QM2 buffet was of a good standard. Not very artistically displayed as Celebrity buffets are but we could always find good food to eat . The food in the Red Lion pub was good and the small plates in the Corinthia Lounge was excellent . So no complaints from us
  8. Hahah !! Nothing dressy will look out of place on the Queen of the Seas !! Go ahead and sparkle
  9. We ageee. Just come back from our 3rd voyage on Cunard’s QM2. Although we have only had 2 cruises with Celebrity there was no comparison in standard with the buffet on QM2 which was ok BUT all the sweet offerings on QM2 were far superior to Celebrity
  10. Interesting . In the uk we have our travel insurance which also includes medical travel insurance, covered in our bank account , works out about $120 a year for as many vacations as u want . This covers about $2,000,250 worth of cover. You can also upgrade this amount of cover for a few extra $
  11. There is plenty of choice in the main Britannia Restaurant and in the Kings Court, Lido, for all tastes
  12. Really !!!!!!!!! We have been traveling world wide for over 30 years and would NEVER , NEVER, NEVER travel without insurance !!! Find it difficult, especially in this day and age that travellers would not do so. Maybe its a thing that we, in the UK, just do .
  13. Just got home few weeks ago from btob QM2. All fantastic. Food superb. See photos
