I'm interested in any first hand experience that people have had with the onboard WIFI on Princess Cruises.
We are booked on a South Pacific cruise (Noumea, Mystery Island, Suva)
My understanding from friends is that the quality can be very poor but the Princess website seems to suggest it has improved a lot of late.
Welcome to the group Moriac Mick! 🙂
We did a relocation cruise from LA to Auckland on the Majestic Princess in October 2022, it was alright for the first few days of the cruise, and then it went to crap.
We got another Princess Cruise book for Christmas so I will be interested to see if its any better or still not very good.

Does anyone have a clue if Australia will change their covid protocol for unvaccinated cruisers by November 1st 2023?
I cannot see anything changing till next year (2024), but the last I read / head they where not going to review the covid protocols till December 2023.
You can come to New Zealand and cruise from Auckland unvaccinated. -

Lahania is a lovey place and I am sad to see that is has burnt to the ground 😞
We have been to Lahaina twice once in 2013 and once in 2015 and loved it there!

I can't see them tinkering with priority boarding in their loyalty program, but they have already staged it via boarding calls, depending on numbers. A similar response would likely see elites & suites as 1st call, followed by platinum & premier as 2nd call.
When we cruise on the Majestic Princess from LA to NZ in October 2022, there was no priority boarding.
There was only 3 lanes, Blue, Green and something else.

Now that anyone with premier will have priority boarding along with suites, elites & platinums, it will be interesting to see how it all works without boarding slots. If it reverts, those with priority will be able to arrive a bit earlier for check-in than the other half of the passengers.
I will be interested to see if elites & platinum will still get priority boarding!

The weather was suitable, so the Captain gave us the scenic cruising route through Prince Christian Sound on the way to Nanortalik.
Very interesting, a few nice glaciers and quite narrow in places, surrounded by steep cliffs with waterfalls.
A chilly but good day.
I was reading about that on Facebook.
How lucky where you guys 🙂
