I'll be on the Discovery in 2 weeks and I have an early flight home at the end of the cruise. I want to say it was either a smidge before 12:00 or a little after 12:00 in the afternoon the flight. Don't remember offhand. But I would just be an early walk-off and you should have no problem especially if it's a weekend whereas traffic would be more horrendous with rush hour during the middle of the week. I say go for it you'll be safe.

For my upcoming Cruise through Norway, I booked an excursion through Viator for my stop in Tromso, It's a road trip excursion. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with a similar excursion. Also trying to figure out how windy and twisty the roads may possibly be, as I don't fair well in the car with very curvy roads. Never grew out of the car motion sickness.

I say go have a great time. You clearly book this cruise for a reason. So sounds silly to cancel over a cabin You had paid for I understand that the price went down. But you knew what you were getting when you had booked and paid final payment. Like others have said it's a gamble to wait for those drop and go deals and when you book an advance like you have you're able to get everything sorted such as excursions dining time and so forth. To say you don't want to go because you see the prices have dropped and you paid double. Once again you clearly paid for the trip with no problem so it sounds awfully silly to say you want to cancel. At this point how I look at it when that happens on sailings that maybe I have paid for I just look past that, and not worry what cabins are going for because I'm very excited for my trip.

Matt Thompson is the Entertainment director. I was sailing with him on the sky princess when he was getting ready to transship to the Discovery. Therefore Duval was only a temporary acting entertainment director as they were waiting for Matt Thompson, Who already arrived earlier last week.

Congrats. I'm awaiting on my four day sailing on Discovery Princess cabin to be assigned. I'm also kind of praying I got a visit from the upgrade fairy. We shall wait and see.

Interesting observation! It's always been the talk of the town during Caribbean season here out on the east coast.

Please be advised, Steeler 36 just used my name as an example. I don't ever touch anyone's belongings. I don't really even sit upstairs or sunbathe. This is just an observation I've made when I do walk around. I'm a very polite, well-mannered person thank you very much. As it come across my mind on what I would really like to do absolutely but I would never do it though. I'm all about common courtesy 😉

Do you find chair hoggers to be funny or annoying? Currently on the Regal and I'm not one to sit up on the pool deck in the sun, but early this morning figured I would read on one of the couches upstairs. Two chairs in front of me had towels and a tote bag occupying the chairs. They were left unattended for over an hour before I decided to get up and leave. Two ladies finally came to their seats said hello put more bags down and then one went for a walk on the track. Which I saw her doing as I was walking up there as well, and then I went downstairs to deck 5 to grab a nibble and there she was participating in line dancing. I shuffled to another area as I'm just walking around the ship saw her as well in the gym, then roaming around on deck seven. I find chair hoggers to be annoying, but I also find it rather hilarious that they think they are royalty and can just leave their things and come back to it whenever the little heart desires. 😂🤦‍♀️

I'll be back on the regal next week. Can't wait, its been a long while since I have been on her, as I've been on the Sky and Enchanted since their arrivals from Ft. Lauderdale. The Regal has always held a special spot in my heart.

Always remember that trip is whatever you make it to be. I am sure you will have a fabulous time, no matter the ship. Alaska is absolutely beautiful, as the surroundings all around you there are all breathtaking and awe inspiring. Go and enjoy yourself, as you go with an open mind and positive attitude. 🙂

In this case we will be using seperate cards, but in the past when i have cruised with friends and we did use separate cards, my friends have always gotten half of my OBC.

Ok. Good to Know! I hope that is the case with different credit cards. Trying to remember in the past if I had just put everything on my card or not. Its been a while since I have last shared a cabin with someone.

military obc, which i was planning on using towards an excursion. Use to have the issue back in the day when we got loyalty obc for example of $100, as well as loyalty obc i personally get from travel agent besides the regular obc for the travel agency company.

Does anyone know if there is a way, if you're sharing a cabin with someone, where they won't automatically split all the OBC with everyone in the shared cabin prior to boarding? I hate when they atomically split OBC, when its suppose to go towards a particular person. If traveling with friends, its not like you can nicely tell them in an easy way that was meant for you. Becomes an uncomfortable situation. Hoping someone has had experience with that.

I don;t believe so, as I don;t recall them celebrating 1 year anniversaries on any of the other ships within the Princess fleet.

So reserved seats are actually only for the premier package. If they offered for the plus package, which is the fare most people seem to opt for, then most of the theater would have to be reserved seats. There is a much smaller percentage of people who purchase the premier package, which ultimately makes it more manageable for the reserved seating in the theater.
