  1. From what you've said it sounds like Cunard wouldn't suit you, I hope you find a line that you enjoy.
  2. This is the Smart Attire description from today's Daily Programme on Queen Anne. To me, the reference to non-ripped jeans is part of the second paragraph about more relaxed attire. I wouldn't interpret this to mean that jeans are included as part of Smart Attire requirements. I haven't noticed anyone wearing jeans in Britannia Club on this sailing yet.
  3. I've moved the coffee machine discussion to a new thread
  4. The advantage of a short excursion is that we were back in time for Afternoon tea. Scones tasted fresh and cream was clotted. We have beautiful views of Ajaccio from our balcony.
  5. Had a lovely few hours on the beach but with a pair of sun loungers at €60 it would have been nice to stay a bit longer ! They were very comfortable...but we were only renting them, not buying them 😂
  6. We booked the excursion which is just a beach transfer so I'm glad we're having better weather than QV did.
  7. These are the pods, the machine is hidden away for the moment.
  8. Good morning from Ajaccio, we arrived as we were having breakfast after a rather bumpy night !
  9. It's still pretty shallow, much less than the posted depth. One of our table sharers uses the Panorama Pool for that reason.
  10. We've spent holidays in Barcelona so Mr HH got off to do some shopping but I stayed on board. Had a pleasant float around in the Pavilion pool. The Captain has threatened us with some bumpy weather overnight.
  11. First answer was before the end of year, then maybe October.
  12. It was good but I'm not sure I'll be repeating the experience!
  13. I've got an appointment with Voyage Sales on Queen Anne this afternoon so I will see if they know when the next on sale date is.
  14. We spent the afternoon on the balcony and then went back up to Deck 14 at just after 5. It was nice and quiet up there and still very warm. It was Masquerade Night, quite a few masks around and lots of lovely dresses. We met up with our table companions in the Commodore Club. They'd been to the Queens Room but it was absolutely packed when we walked through earlier. I tried the Tiramisu Martini as a change from my usual post dinner Brandy Alexander.
  15. Thanks, there's nothing there at all. It just says Coming Soon.
  16. We're due there on Queen Anne in a couple of days, would you recommend the little train?
  17. It was after 10 by the time we woke up so tea and biscuits kept us going. Still no sign of any of the Insights lectures on the TV. I keep seeing Mark Foster around the ship but I've still not seen him speak 🤦‍♀️. Mr HH went to check out the Roulette tournament and I headed up to Deck 14 to have a look at the Sky Bar. It was a beautiful sea day and very warm in the full sun. We met up for lunch in the restaurant, our table has now been officially reset for 4. Our waiter said that the other couple have moved. I don't know if they didn't like the table or the company...... I couldn't decide between Plum and Rosemary Bakewell Tart or Pear and Almond Torte so our waiter brought both. This could be the start of a slippery slope !
  18. We went to the Golden Lion again after dinner where Food And Drink Trivia was just starting. We didn't enter but helped/hindered the table next to us. I still don't believe Starbucks counts as a Fast food company! We went to watch the second Mike Doyle show, it was busy again and a little warmer in the theatre, Britannia Club and the Golden Lion were pretty chilly. Mr HH managed to order drinks from the waitress hanging around in the theatre. The 2 shows have been an hour rather than the usual 45 minutes. No breakfast ordered or alarm set so the outcome is fairly predictable!
