  1. The swan puffs became extinct around 2007-ish. Here is an old photo of one that was featured in one of Celebrity's cruise brochures:
  2. I am sorry to hear that. My understanding was the helipad was full of people today and so Celebrity couldn't use the clothes line
  3. Best to ask your question here:
  4. Well there was this on last month's Summit--a full ship charter for 21 yr old adults and older (they really should have a maximum age for this kind of cruise): https://www.toplesstravel.com/cruises/summit-april-2023.aspx
  5. I have fond memories of Puerto Vallarta because it was the first port of call on our very first cruise ever (Carnival, July 1991). I remember the strange sensation of waking up and seeing that we were in a new, foreign place--like we had been teleported during our sleep. I vividly recall seeing the mountains and hearing mariachi music being played by musicians on the pier down below. It was my first "we're not in Kansas anymore" moment as I had done virtually no travelling outside the USA up to then. I have not been back since and look forward to seeing it next year although it may be "just another port" to me 33 years later.
  6. There is one more time change to the ship's clock to align with LA time. I was guessing that it would be done tonight after leaving Puerto Vallarta, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Have fun ashore today.
  7. I was thinking EXACTLY that when I made that post: Celebrity now vs 10 years ago vs 20 years ago. 3 different experiences.
  8. Nice job with the photos. They are enjoyable to look at. Maybe you already know the answer to this, but I will be curious to see what, if anything, is done when the ship crosses the equator. Is it a non-event and you might as well be asleep? Or is the crossing done during waking hours with some type of announcement or ceremony or a human sacrifice, etc.
  9. We just told the self proclaimed technology dinosaur that it was safe to come out and play. Telling it about the Celebrity app is like telling it that there’s an extinction level event meteor hurdling towards earth.
  10. Wait. You are talking about the if-you-get-sick clauses. So for your cruise, it's if-you-get-sick then welcome to Acapulco!
  11. Maybe their pools are really great.
  12. A key part of preparing for an inspection by health officials is having healthy passengers.
  13. Now you've done it. You had to go and mention the Celebrity App......
  14. There is a corkage fee in the dining room. It is waived if you have an alcohol drink package. I hope you like the Celebrity cruise line that you will find today (versus 10 years ago).
  15. I look forward to reading your posts for this cruise!
  16. Did the other cruise lines do something like the PUP program during the shutdown or was this just a Celebrity thing?
  17. Nice show! I didn't see it in the Celebrity Today schedule.....
  18. I am fairly certain it is for one single bottle (but I don't mind being wrong). Back in the day, when the Captains Club benefits were handed out as a sheet of coupons, there was a single coupon for a wine bottle discount that you had to surrender when you used it: Captains Club Elite Member Coupon (12 night sailing or more). The above link is a scan of the front and back of the sheet (including the fine print). Here is a screenshot of the coupon front: When you look at the language in the current Captains Club brochure, it simply says "Discount on any bottle of wine". The $40 minimum is gone (maybe because they are all priced above $40!! just kidding) so it is different now at least in that respect. Because of the coupon days, I read that as one single bottle, but I would be happy to be wrong about that. I would also think that if you could buy multiple wine bottles at 20% off thru the loyalty discount, it would make the wine packages less attractive.
