  1. I have not located the hardcopy menu in our stateroom. I had presumed that it was a Covid casualty and was removed like I have found with many hotel rooms that I have stayed in.
  2. Yes, you are right. The room service page on the app does indeed show the phone number. Thank you.
  3. A few random thoughts: 1. Angeline, our stateroom attendant, did not have our room made up for us after we returned from dinner tonight and last night. She apologized and said that she didn't realize that we had early seating until now. So we should be good. 2. Last night was Evening Chic. Knowing that there is a recurring question on this CruiseCritic board about how many people actually dress up, I counted the number of males wearing suits that I could see from our table in the MSE. The answer was 18 out of 60 (including me who was in a suit). So 30%. One data point. Early Seating. 3. I've been reading about how long room service can take. We've called room service twice. Once for a late lunch after we got back from our flat tire shore excursion at Toulon (45 min turnaround time). Another time was tonight when we ordered dessert (49 min turnaround time). There is no way to order room service using our stateroom television. None of the short cut buttons on our stateroom telephone go to room service. You have to know to dial "52". After dialing there was no hold time before a live person answered. 4. NFL football games were shown on our stateroom television. The big problem for me was that my Steelers (@ Dolphins) had a Sunday night game. Normally a good thing because it guarantees I can watch them at home, playing on Sunday evening was not a good thing on this cruise because it meant that the game started at 1:30 am since we're in Europe and so I couldn't watch it. It didn't matter because they lost anyway. It's going to be a long season.
  4. Thank you. Our CD is Tim Bolton who I have yet to see because we've been hermits on board so far.
  5. A couple photos from the pier as we got back on Constellation today. Seeing the fresh food supplies being loaded at Palma made me wonder how well the food holds up during our six straight days at sea.
  6. During the end of our tour of the city of Palma, our guide introduced us to an impressive olive tree that was 750 years old.
  7. A group puzzle game at the library: Some wear on the blue chairs @pcrum
  8. We took a full day small group tour that @Bob29321 arranged independently with a local company. There were 21 of us and we were on a comfortable large bus that could have handled twice the number of people. We had a bus driver and an English speaking guide. We spent half of the day at the quaint village of Valldemossa (where we had lunch). The second half of the day was spent at the resort city of Palma. We were picked up and dripped off at the cruise terminal. No flat tire today, so it was a successful trip.
  9. I am on Constellation right now. The main dining room has tables for two. In fact my wife and I are seated at one. We have been on holiday cruises with Celebrity and they're usually isn't a special menu in the main dining room. They will make New Year's Eve an Evening Chic night so a better menu is used. One of the specialty restaurant will have a special multi course meal (with a special price, too) for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
  10. One of the Behemoth of the Seas class ships (Wonder) is docked with us.
  11. @isnowman (Kurt and Irene) are admiring the scenery from their balcony as we dock at Palma.
  12. We are an hour and a half away from docking at Palma de Mallorca. It's going to get up to the mid 80's today there.
  13. While docked at Toulon, we had a view of the nuclear powered aircraft carrier, Charles de Gaulle--the proud flagship of the French Navy. It appeared to be idled as we saw civilian dressed people walking on the flight deck and no one in uniform.
  14. This was last night at the Rendezvous Lounge. After I snapped the photo, I heard a "hello" behind me. It was @wayneg1 (Wayne and his wife Karen) who were enjoying the string music. I asked that we meet there at 5pm on the first sea day for drinks) because I want to get their perspective on the current British political situation.
  15. This is like the fourth cruise that I've seen this dog statue used for the guess-the-weight contest by Park West. I'm surprised that a frequent cruiser doesn't take advantage of it to win it. Or a clever B2B cruiser. I asked the Park West attendant about that last night but didn't get an answer that I understood. I cynically concluded that apathy prevented anyone from submitting a guess. I also thought that maybe it was a scam and no one ever won or claimed the prize (I was tempted to place a discreet marking on the back of the dog to allow me to determine if this is the same dog statue I'm looking at in future cruises).
  16. Kim, we also received the invitation but we didn't make it. We were busy with little stuff plus the weather (cloudy and very windy) made the event seem less inviting. How was it?
  17. So far, I have found the ship to be in excellent condition. This is based on our cabin and a small sample of the public areas. I will update you as the cruise progresses and perhaps others on this cruise will chime in. Where her age is more evident is with dated design and technology which is to be expected.
  18. @vickykay, so I had to laugh when I looked at Cruise Critic as we were stranded by the roadside and saw your request for photos! And so that’s what I meant when I said we’re the poster child for Celebrity to convince passengers not to book shore excursions on their own. Us and the poor couple that mistakenly booked an independent tour that started in Marseilles! I can only imagine what they would be thinking if they came on the tour with us!!! They would be Celebrity shore excursion customers forever!
