  1. Jim, please correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't your itinerary that you posted below show 4 time changes--during the nights of Thu Apr 11, Sun Apr 14, Wed Apr 17, and Mon Apr 22?
  2. The best non-suite quad cabins are the Ultra Deluxe Veranda cabin they have significantly more room than a normal quad cabin and are furnished to sleep up to 5 people. There are only 4 of them and they sit at the front corner of the ship on Deck 7 (7101 & 7108) and Deck 8 (8107 & 8108). The two on Deck 8 are are larger than the two on Deck 7 in terms of interior cabin space and balcony space. Here is a link to the layout of the Deck 8 cabins: link We have sailed on Solstice twice with our 2 kids (young adults) in those cabins.
  3. Can you post the itinerary/schedule published in your Celebrity Today?
  4. My two cents: We’ve done Sydney pre-cruise three nights (Dec 2017) and four (Dec 2019). There’s a lot to see. Just depends on where you want to draw the line. We’re doing this TP next year and looking forward to seeing new stuff at Sydney!
  5. Ruth (and @MamaFej), Yes! The first photo is of the inner corona and you can see the pink solar prominences. This photo shows the middle to outer corona: We watched the eclipse from Vienna, IL which is near the Ohio River off of I-24. We had 3.7 minutes of totality. The April weather made viewing conditions touch and go for many parts of America that were in the path of totality. I hope you are doing well, Ruth. I presume you had very clear skies from your Princess cruise ship, MamaFej. David
  6. I hope you have a smooth embarkation today.
  7. Yes, we’ve done a few holiday sailings including this past Christmas/NYE and specialty dining isn’t usually available to book until 90 days or so before the sailing. You’ll find the pricing a little higher than normal for each night, very high pricing on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and a general lack of multiple night packages.
  8. I believe there is only one EC night for a five night sailing.
  9. EC nights are not explicitly declared anywhere in advance of a cruise.
  10. Thanks. I hope the rest of the cruise goes well.
  11. When we boarded Solstice this past December and set up our WiFi account, here is a screenshot of the available options:
  12. Currently your Captain's Club status expires when you do.
  13. I ran into something similar when I was changing Wi-Fi plans. I found the 2 device plan for one person to be on sale. So I cancelled by existing 2 device plan, but couldn't immediately sign myself up for the cheaper plan. The 2 device plan was still available but my name was grayed out and so I couldn't rebook it for myself. So I went ahead and booked the cheaper 2 device plan for my wife. I noticed a day later that my name was no longer grayed out. If that is your problem, I don't know exactly how much time has to go by before the system lets you book again.
  14. Premium Access is available in your Cruise Planner under the "VIP Passes". You will also find it under Wi-Fi.
  15. Unless something recently changed, there is no requirement for all parties in the same cabin to by any Wi-Fi plan. My wife and I are sailing later this month and during the 50% flash sale over Christmas, I bought the 2 device plan against my wife's name. I do not have a plan. BTW the sale price on the 2 device plan was cheaper than the sale for buying two single device plans (one for each person).
  16. We have stayed in 8107/8108 three times on Eclipse, twice on Solstice, and once on Reflection. Depending on what your definition of "at the front" is, Deck 8 is the highest (upper) deck for that location. Our experience was uniformly good. Some motion up front, but nothing bad. At the tendering ports, you could hear the ship drop and raise its anchor. You were often requested to keep the shades drawn on the cabin windows at night to improve the visibility from the bridge which was located directly above. Solstice in Akaroa, Dec 29 2019
  17. I hope you have a great trip, Jim. I look forward to reading your posts.
  18. Here is the single page Pickleball flyer published by Celebrity: link
  19. I know Chrome has caused me some problems when trying to make hotel, dinner, and ticket reservations for our last trip to Rome. The websites will appear to work—pages will load and I can navigate—but it will falsely show no availability.
  20. 10 years ago our son was mis-categorized as Elite when I looked at his account online. That error was temporary because he was correctly identified as Select when we got on our cruise. 249 Club Points qualifies you as Select (table). Maybe you caught a lucky break for your last two cruises. I presume that the 249 points sounds accurate to you?
  21. nice. Everyone on this board here would gladly give up $150 in travel agent OBC if we got our cruise price cut by $1300!
  22. I think you all already know that Baltra and Quito are in different time zones. It shouldn't be a problem. It is more confusing when you get off the ship in Baltra because ship time = Quito time. So the clock changes the instant you get off the zodiac on your return trip to Baltra.
  23. When you go on the Teleferico, do that as early in the day as you can before the clouds roll in. We had a thick blanket of clouds that obscured our view of Quito initially. After half an hour or so, we got lucky and had a break in the clouds.
