We just booked the 6 day April 20th Indy cruise today. Great price and great ship. We've been to these ports and they are fine, especially if you haven't been there. We have been on the Indy before and just did the Allure in Oct. The Allure was great, but don't need to do that class of ship again until the price comes down. JUST DO IT!! :D

If you made your reservation before May 13, 2013 they will still provide. If after they wont it was discontinued in May
We booked back in may and received the free transfer and hotel stay.

They provided this transfer between Port Everglades to Port of Miami and a free night stay for us - Oct 12, 2013 Allure & Majesty Oct 21, 2013. It doesn't hurt to try and contact the Consecutive Cruise Desk at RCCL.

Was your cruise affected by the propulsion problem? Just wondering since we have a cruise on the Allure coming up.
Thanks for your reply in advance!
We had a little shorter day in Nassau, but not a big deal. I didn't know there was a problem while we were on board. We were on the Oct 12 cruise.

I just got off my first sailing on the Allure. Great ship and cruise and everyone should try it once. I'll probably go on that class of ship again, but I wouldn't pay a premium to sail on it. Next cruise will probably be on the Freedom class again.

Thank you for the replies, that is a very reasonable fee. What kind of tip do you think we should leave?
I disagree. On in the Allure MDR a few weeks ago we were offered a $35 bottle of wine off the wine list for a discounted special price of $25 + the 15% and no corkage. How can the same $25 price be reasonable for just opening your bottle?

The divider between our balconies rattled in the wind on our last cruise. Duct tape fixed it.

In one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, everyone on board gets on one side of the ship and runs back and forth until the ship flips upside-down. Do you think RCCL has done any computer simulations during the design of the ships? What would happen if all 8,680 people on board the Allure/Oasis all went to the port side of the ship?
They have things called “Flash Mobs” these days. It could happen!!

On the Allure Aft stairs (I think it's around deck 11) there is a group of pictures of buildings that have been "whited-out". The art is labeled something like "Buildings you must see before you die". There are some easy ones like the Leaning tower of Pisa, the Sears Tower in Chicago, the Koln Cathedral in Germany.
Does anyone have a complete list of the buildings?

My husband and I are not fans of smoking either, but I have never been bothered by people smoking on their balconies. In fact this last cruise our room was next to my parents and we had adjoining balconies where they could open the partition so we can share a large balcony and still didn't notice their smoke at all. The only place it sometimes bothered me was the casino.
It's not just the smoke. We just got off the Allure a couple of weeks ago. We were dock at a port on a fairly calm day. Had some cigarette ash fall on our balcony from above. Not very pleasant.

Am I reading that right, no OBC for rci until 25,000 pts??
I wouldn't consider this a major change...

I don't see much of a change. What exactly are the changes you see?
