  1. Dinner in the hotel restaurant. We both selected chicken parmigiana Thought I would start priming my liver. Long Island ice tea for me Captains and Diet Coke for spouse. Sea ya
  2. Well the Ma Bell answered my call. Repair man just showed up and took out a box and only took him 12 min to plug the phone into the plug in wall. But. Yes but. He must have left the phone plate in the box. I nor my husband have the heart to call about. We have a phone. It works. So que sera sera ( sp). Whatever will be will be. For our next adventure. Dinner. Sea you.
  3. The plot thickens. We left a wake-up call for 3am ( I usually snooze once. Well ok. Twice). So when we went looking for the phone we only found a cord. So gooder spouse walks down to desk. Um no phone cannot call. And the girl laughs as she said she will notify maintenance. So no wake-up call for now. I will let you know if I need someone for my wakeup call. Sea you
  4. So the ride to Cleveland on the turnpike was uneventful. Hot hot hot car thermometer said outside temp 95. We were a comfortable 65. Better yet. We were thrilled to arrive at the luckiest time to get a parking spot right at the entrance. And these are not those modern narrow spaces, it is very accommodating. Then we checked in, re confirmed our shuttle ride to the airport for 4am. ( our flight boards at 5:50am) We always request a room on the first floor and our wish was granted. Got our land version of sea pass and carted the suitcases and back pack to room 135. Opened the door and what to our surprise…………no bed. So as dear spouse kindly went back to lobby the attendant asked what was wrong. She immediately fixed the problem. New room. And it even has a bed. She also comped us 2 drinks in hotel restaurant. Now we usually walk to Max & Ermas for drinks and dinner, but I don’t feel like melting so we will eat here. It will be an early night. Alarm set for 2:45am. Shower, dry hair makeup. Organize and off to shuttle. Can only hope that dinner has no surprises. Sea you.
  5. The re-named “Grandma mobile” is packed and ready to leave for airport. Pray for safe travels.
  6. We are staying at the Hampton near the airport and Sunday going back to airport to catch RCI shuttle. Hoping all goes well with this mode of transportation. And as for amount of luggage. Well. Not really. We will be gone 10 days. Shoes , clothes, bathing suites , shower caddy, pharmaceuticals 😳 (prescription and OTC). Beach bag, travel documents. ……
  7. 7 days out of Galveston. Sunday to Sunday. Hearing when she heads back to Florida 3/4 split week cruises.
  8. A tradition of taking pictures of suitcases just in case lost by airlines on a non stop flight. Air tags safely tucked in. Pretty purple. Sea ya.
  9. Pre-Cruise pedicure. Pre-Cruise Ankles. Any “Cankles” will be noted. Sea ya.
  10. Good morning. Today we finish packing. And leave for airport once our house sitters arrive. Busy day. Well finish up everything. Water the plants/garden. And of course have to make one final run to Walmart or Travel agent. You see we leant our suitcase scale to the daughter when they went to a conference and for the last 6 weeks when I babysat for our granddaughter the scale was not given to us. She forgot. Yup Walmart Yup First of month. Yup Painful Also I have read that that “Duck” hunting season is quite overpopulated on this sailing. Every. And I mean every type, size, color, and theme imaginable. For us-no quackery. Even though it has been shared that duck hunting could be profitable. In fact some have money attached. Besides, my life revolves around ………… And. Time to get productive. Sea ya.
  11. So, I guess sailing the western Caribbean has its benefits over the next few days. The report also went on to say Florida is going to have a wet few days ahead. To all, be safe. Sea ya.
  12. Thank you CC. This is the first time I remember getting this post. I probably got it in past but must of slipped my mind. This cruise is becoming really real. Sea ya.
  13. Also, As I arrived for my pedicure the technician goes, what are you doing here? I look at her. She goes your appointment is for tomorrow at 9am. I go, my calendar says today, but no problem see you tomorrow. But I had to look when i got home. Here the master calendar on the wall still had May up, um I did have an appointment on the first Thursday in May Golly G, forgot today was the first day of June. Blame it on retirement, and never knowing what day it is. Better pay close attention to calendar in future. Time to get moving. Sea Ya
  14. The first showing. We will just walk in to suite seats. But, we will not be going to Blue Planet. Saw it, and yes it is done very well, but after the opening scene we were uh bored, so we put up with it. The cast is awesome, show done well, but not to our liking. Glad we did see it though, once for us is enough. And the Aqua theatre show is one of the best ones for me. I am unable to tolerate a ton of flashing lights. I was unable to stay for the shows here on Oasis and Symphony because of lighting. We have seen ice show almost on every cruise, and will probably see again. Our new passion is trivia in schooners bar. I have MY pencils sharpened and ready to go. And end the day for a couple hours visiting the casino. Yup, only an evening player. Usually enough time to go through my budget of $$ for the night. Then time to watch people, and just chill. Some times I win, sometimes I lose, but usually have enough to keep playing with the return of credits from time to time. Take care
  15. Packed (lol), all stuff pulled, and putting in suitcases tonight. 2 large 2 Carryons 1 back pack. We do not do overly dress for formal night anymore, so that saves room. We are "business casual". Not taking our snorkel gear, using the excursion ones. And being in the medical profession, a ton of OTC as well as our prescription drugs. Sea Ya
  16. Good morning. If bored, and want to follow my addition to the many already posted live threads about the Allure, here is the link. We love the Allure and are a tad anxious about cruising out of a new port....Galveston. We have followed other posters experiences, but still apprehensive. So to keep my mind from panicking, posting should keep my mind occupied. Sea ya
  17. Good morning. Today as usual I have to be busy to make the time go faster after it has dragged for months waiting for this cruise to happen. Oh don’t get me wrong. This past March doing the Bella Cruise was an awesome experience. And I am just sad I cannot do Bella 2. Anyway. The one thing I want to share and I hope the Mods keep this post is….. Be thankful for CC. Other social media sites can be quite intimidating and do not share all the useful information that is presented on these boards. Some posters there are helpful, but a few are not and they just keep going on and on and on. Yes, I know at times posters here do not post nice, but it is dealt with. I can only hope the information I share is appreciated and in the event of some humor, it too can be tolerated. I will try to respond back in the event a question is asked and I can find the information. Now my posts and timing will be determined by a few factors. 1. The ability to access CC if connections stay accessible. 2. The assistance from the spouse for transferring pictures to me from camera. 3. The amount of alcohol consumed. Now being D+ that is 5 drinks during day. Being in a suite covers happy hour. And being signature covers casino. So who needs drink package. However we did get basic refreshment package for water and pop. (Not soda, it’s pop!). Ok. Getting ready for pedicure, gotta have those feets pretty for showing cankle pics. The one thing different for us is we are going to keep a log (tally) of all expenses. I want to see how much a “comped” cruise costs. Already paid for: Air Hotels before Transportation to port and back Upgade on comped cruise to CLS Refreshment package Chops dinner Roatan beach day Post NASA Houston tour. To be paid: Extra tips Casino ( no comment) Some souvenirs Ok. BYEEEEEEEE Sea ya
  18. I am planning on doing more photography this cruise. Below is one of my favorite still pictures. And I didn’t get yelled at. Sea ya.
  19. This will be our 10th sailing on Miss Allure and once again enjoying a CLS. Has been a wild and crazy year so far. So this is our cruise to relax, lay back and just go with the flow. Minimal planning, few excursions. Just taking our time. We were surprised when Allure was relocated to a new port …… but I guess RCI had to pick a ship to go and as a groupie we too shall follow. To begin with, this is our casino comped cruise and we booked it almost a year ago. Also we were able to upgrade to a CLS for a nominal fee. ( yup pre-paid the cruise to the casino slot machines). Then the cost of all cabins really soared. We were sticker shocked at some of the rates. But happy we were locked in. So over the years, you win some and lose some. Here was one of more memorable winnings. So as the last few days of preparations are undertaken, packing and organizing being the most important, I better get moving so I will be ready. So wish me luck as I get my act together. And updates as well as “SUEISMS” could be posted at any time. So for now………SEA YOU😃
  20. Good Morning. Happy and safe Memorial Day to all. These last few weeks have been so overwhelming, and I can say we only have 3 items left on the killer B ( me) and Honey do list ( spouse). To begin with the Baptism for our granddaughter was memorable and all the planning paid off. The visit to the vets with estimated. 160 pounds of German shepherds (2) was an experience, but no humans were harmed. The vegetables were planted in the new raised garden beds and deer fence built to keep the deer out. We had our first local checking out the new secure area. This week only have 2 days of babysitting in Oxford Ohio. 9 yards of mulch to arrive. That will be laid where it is supposed to go. When I return finish packing for our Allure cruise only a few days away. Debating on doing a live thread. After being a submitter on the Bella cruise, I know I could never attain that level of of talent provided by the “male” creators. Andrew, Greg, and John. Time to attack my Killer “B” list. Planning on getting on road by 1pm. And when we get home we will go and bring home our new addition. Take care. Oh. Almost forgot. The mobile alarm clock. Does not need set. Just goes off when wants fed. Today. 5:11am. Catch you later.
