Ruby Princess Cabin for three with pulldown bed
Essiesmom replied to ceegarden's topic in Princess Cruises
But according to cruisedeckplans, your reserved cabin does not have a pulldown bed. EM -
I’ve been traveling with a reusable bottle/cup for 30 years. Not the same one, of course…lots of people do it. Why not? EM

Yes, but you can still ask for a card if you want one. EM -
MSC Veterans! Newbie with Questions!
Essiesmom replied to Momto3girlsintheCarolinas's topic in MSC Cruises
Have you downloaded the. SC for Me app? Much of that can be done in the app. Also on the MSC website when you register and login to your booking. Apparently you have booked a gty cabin. It can be assigned any time. Sometimes they notify you by email. If you are eligible to bid for an upgrade, you will get an email invitation. I’ve never heard of having to ask to dine with your spouse in the MDR. All lines I have sailed, it’s expected. Breakfast is served in the MDR daily, it hours are limited. They will be listed in the app and on the daily program. Buffet hours are also in the app and the program. You can make the steakhouse reservation in person or in the app. if you tell us what ship you are on and which experience (Bella, Fantastica, Aurea) you booked we can be more specific. Here is an example of the dining hours on the Seashore in December. -
What kind of help are you thinking of? The terms and conditions are pretty clear on the fitness to travel…any physical assistance has to be provided by the family. EM

Ruby Princess Cabin for three with pulldown bed
Essiesmom replied to ceegarden's topic in Princess Cruises
The bad news is that on cruisedeckplans the cabin shows a black square, and the key says the black square means the cabin can accommodate a rollaway. It also connects with B518. EM -
It’s Thursday 2/8 and Viking Mars is in and out for a burger, and Le Dumont D’Urville is passing through:

I think you should be looking/asking on the Ports of Call board for Cozumel. Viaror is a consolidator, not the operator of the tours. You should be looking to book with the tour operator. EM

She is In Montego Bay today. EM -
Sailing solo is 100% better than not sailing at all. I sailed solo twice last year on MSC, as well as twice on Carnival and once on Celebrity. There are always crowded places, but seats for one can be easier to find than a pair. I’m not a joiner, but I love to find a seat and people watch. Come over to the MSC board here if you have more questions. Welcome to Cruise Critic. EM

Why are you not taking the scooter ashore in ports? As long as they are not tender ports it should be doable. I remember Argostoli as quite walkable, although there was on,y one place for a ship to dock and another was tendering. In Corfu we took a shuttle into town but then it was walkable. If there is not an accessible shuttle to Dubrovnik you could probably scoot to the old town.

This happened yesterday. Costa Pacifica was there also at the James Bond (Reynolds) pier. Magic went offshore and when Costa left she came in and docked at that pier. Magic spent the night there. Nieuw Statendam was supposed to be there today but went to Montego Bay instead. Divina will be the on,y ship in port and can dock at the other pier. EM -
First, there is a board here for Alaska, under Ports of Call. Lots of discussion there. Second, you can ride the train up and back without a passport, but if you ride the bus back you need a passport. i have done the train up and back twice. I love the scenery. EM

Lots of gray hair and bald heads, lots of plays and diamonds. Lots of trivia, games, etc. I’ve only done one repo on Carnival, a TA on Dream, and the one thing I missed from Princess and HAL was enrichment lecturers. EM

I don’t believe you can book shows until you are onboard. Whether you do it in the app or on screens around the ship depends on which ship you are on. Some ships are not ‘smart’ yet. EM

When you do your checkin online there is a place where it says ‘sailing with’ and if you insert your other party’s booking number that should link you for dining. You won’t know until you board and get your cruise cards, but if you don’t all have the same time and table, or either doesn’t suit, there will be a place listed on your welcome aboard sheet telling you where to go to change it. Yes, although you didn’t say what ship you are on, there will be lots of tables for 6. EM

Since Princess has not sailed from Port Canaveral, first sailing will be this November…there is no prior knowledge. Only Princess can tell you. But once you price them, check out prices on your own. There is a board here called Florida Departures, located under North American Homeports where there is a lot of information about hotels and transfers from Orlando (MCO) to Port Canaveral. EM

They can probably tell you the fee on the Celebrity board. I think it used to be about $65pp. EM

Best cruise-line for Norwegian Fjords?
Essiesmom replied to lynncarol's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
As a long time member, you are probably familiar with cruisetimetables.com. I suggest you visit that site and choose ports in. Or way that you would like to visit. Then the time you want to go. It will show you who calls there and their itineraries. That should give you a start in your search. EM -
How to book a cruise as soon as they are released
Essiesmom replied to Terry Bill's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
There are boards here for most of the cruise lines. Go to the boards for each of the lines that interest you and the regulars there can tell you when cruise schedules are usually released. Not every season is released at one time. Also go to the cruise line websites of the lines that interest you and sign up for email/snail mail specials and you might be notified when new things come out. EM -

Land Tour of Alaska in Denali with a Princess Cruise
Essiesmom replied to Ber2048's topic in Princess Cruises
Welcome to Cruise Critic. Although you are on a Princess tour, there are people on the Alaska ports of call board who can tell you about the park at this time of year. EM -
When you board they will give you a welcome sheet, and there will be a blurb on it telling you where to go to request dining changes. EM
