  1. I have visions of you being escorted away by security…”I just wanted a pineapple mimosa”….
  2. It sounds like your princess experience in two ships has been what mine was over 18 years. I loved princess. The ships. The staff. The service, the food. The activities. Everything about Princess was top of their game. Until it wasn’t. Little by little, all the stellar experiences got eroded or cut. Until one day I realized that I was more stressed with trying to make myself happy and trying to justify the poor service than I was relaxed. That’s not how I wish to spend my vacation or my cruise $$$$ so that’s when I started trying other lines. None have been perfect (virgin are close to perfect for me) but all have made me realize that it’s not unique to princess, that there are other options out there, and loyalty really means nothing these days. Now I look for price and itinerary first. Line and ship second. I’m glad you got to see what princess can and very much used to be like while on island. I still get glimpses of that on the bigger ships occasionally so you may just find it on regal too!!!!
  3. I will see you at the 80s British Hits hour! I will not be attending Bravo. I have enough opera in my life at home…🤣
  4. Remember how I said I wander aimlessly and come back with bread. THIS. THIS is why. I get way too overwhelmed by all the choices. I'm not good with too much choice. Or too much buffet. Or Costco sized toilet paper.
  5. PSA - those chocolate mousse cups on the top shelf are hands down my most fave thing to eat on Princess. I may or may not have several each time I see them...
  6. I love surprises. Especially this one.
  7. Bakewell Tarts (NASTY) - yes, that is how you display them. Did you try one? They are the worst baked good to come out of the UK in my opinion. Roast beef crisps (chips)? Of course. Those are a staple. Also roast chicken. If you see pickled onion Monster Munch, make sure to try them. They are the bomb (and another thing I regulalry buy for four times the price at the British store. I'm betting you got the cheese and onion crisps!
  8. Flying Saucers! I buy those every Christmas at the British shop here. My kids LOVE them. They are sooooooooo expensive at the British shop.
  9. I draw the line at Bakewell tarts. Nasty. nasty. nasty.
  10. Either the lamb or the chicken curry!
  11. Now I want both a pasty AND some real British fish and chips!
  12. My kids (now 17 and 13) have been cruising since they were babies and my only hard and fast rule was that they attend kids' club on the first day. If they never wanted to return afterwards, that was fine. However, that first evening is when they form friendships - both my kids are still in touch with many of the friends they met over the years. Now they are both in the teen programs, after that first day (to register) they rarely go to the activities, but meet up with the people they meet that first day and hang out!
  13. Back in my day, you couldn't get a vegetarian Cornish Pasty! I do so love pasties...
  14. Status matching gets Blue Extras, which doesn't include premium Internet. Deep Blue Extras is no longer part of status matching.
  15. I leaned to drive on these exact kinds of roads (the most traffic I encountered was an occasional sheep) and then people are surprised when I say I'm terrified to drive in Vancouver! 🤣
  16. It looks so much like where I grew up (in Wales). Now I need to add this to list of places to visit....
  17. It's a box for you to drop your confession regarding smuggling chocolate chip cookies off the ship....
  18. Add a necklace and you got yourself a formal night gown!
  19. Funny laundry on the ship story...we DO have elite status and get free laundry on Princess, so rarely (if ever) go to the laundry room. Last year, we sailed for the first time on Cunard (no status) so ventured off to do some laundry. I got quite excited to see that the machines were all free and may or may not have loudly exclaimed my excitement, to the tune of "Wow. Free laundry. Princess doesn't have that." At which a lady passenger in the laundry room looked scornfully at me and said, "Oh yes, dear. You're on the Queens now." At that point I hightailed it outta there!
  20. Sounds like a lot of work. Just buy new clothes. I'm sure you will find a great selection at the gift shop onboard!
