  1. It's the Princess site that only TAs can access, so yes...
  2. Tomorrow's Princess webinar promises BIG NEWS for Canadians. Maybe this is the medallion shipping we are all waiting for...
  3. There were menus supplied to TAs (I posted them on here when they were available) when the changes were announced. It seems that between that time and the changeover going live on the ships, some pricing has changed. Interestingly, the menus with the old pricing are still on the TA site...
  4. There isn’t a ton of info about these elusive rooms in the grand class ships, so hopefully this helps someone. There are two suites on Deck 9 all the way forward. The suites are actually a mini suite connected to an inside room, with a common sitting area connecting them. The mini suite has a tub and shower and the inside has a shower. The large balcony gets very windy while at sea, and the forward position means you will feel more movement. These suites can only be booked by phone with princess - even a TA needs to call to book. Pricing is based on 4 person occupancy, so 3rd/4th guest rates don’t apply unless you have more than 4 pax. If you have less than 4 pax, you still pay the per person rate times 4. The booking will come as two rooms/two booking numbers. They both get full suite benefits.
  5. Also on sapphire (not sure if it was this thread but there were questions about upgrading onboard and coffee in buffet)
  6. Princess need to update the literature they are leaving in the rooms currently! This is in the room on Sapphire today - delivery always free? Also, new prizes for princess prizes?
  7. It's available to anyone in a suite, too. I will be curious to see if the $5 fee applies to either one. The ABILITY to have afternoon tea delivered is the benefit - is the waiving of the fee to do so also a benefit? That remains to be seen...
  8. But it is ordered through room service phone...so $5 charge?
  9. I actually think what they are doing will increase demand - now they are pushing these services as benefits of buying the package I would imagine that many who wouldn't use it previously will now use it as its part of their perks. Additionally, those that upgrade to a package or pay for the services are going to use it more to get their moneys worth. I have a feeling this is merely a "testing of the water" to see what the market will bear in terms of possibly ditching standard and going to all inclusive/packages only, or how much they can tweak these fees before all out riots happen. I'm not happy with the fees, not because of the "nominal" amount, but the way it was handled and the fact that it's just tacky and cheap and I thought/hoped Princess was better than that. I know other lines are doing/have done this and I know Princess is within their rights to do it, but just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD do something.
  10. Curious if there will be a charge for elite/suite to order afternoon tea in the stateroom - that was a benefit that never incurred a charge...
  11. Coriander, the Indian food Lido restaurant, was the best meal I have had at sea! Frontier was also fabulous. I believe they were both $25 pp additional if you booked ahead online, and $30 onboard.
  12. Where do you see that? Or do you mean that you will always be together so only one of you needs it?
  13. Including kids. Call me old fashioned, but I much prefer my teen orders her soda on the app rather than go stand at the bar...
  14. Let's just hope those measures don't end up backfiring...
  15. YES! SO MUCH THIS! I have been trying to say this since the changes were announced, but you have stated it so much better than me!
  16. TAs were not sent the email (or at least none of the TAs in my company). It went direct from Princess to the customer, even if they booked through us.
  17. @Steelers36 August 24th - maybe finally we are getting medallion shipping?
  18. Stay tuned! The next webinar claims "Big news for Canadians"
  19. I believe in giving credit where it is due, so wanted to come back and update on this. After my Crown Grill booking disappeared, I tried to rebook but the app wanted me to pay rather than applying the dining credits. I felt a little frustrated so logged on to Princess chat. After an hour of back and forth with a pleasant agent, I had still achieved nothing. (I will add that several times the agent referenced my flights (I have no flights) and a date that was not mine, so I suspect that they have several chats on the go at once, which is concerning)...Between the time I was answered on chat and the time the agent looked to book, Crown Grill was showing no availability for any day/time. The basic gist of the conversation was "It's not available to pre-book. It's sold out. Book onboard"...No answer for my question, "What if it's also full once we board?" No answer to my question, "Why was my booking cancelled?" No answer to my question, "How come there was plenty of availability for all times/days when I looked an hour ago?" I get it. The agents have no idea and are limited in what they can do. I kept it polite and repeated several times exactly what I wanted to see happen - then we got disconnected (GAH!!!! An hour of my life wasted...or so I thought). I just went in to see if any availability had opened up, and guess what? Miraculously, the two restaurants are now under my reservations, at the exact day/time I requested from the agent (this was different to the original time I had reserved for Crown Grill - I only found it had been cancelled when I went in to change the time). So, obviously, the agent was able to do what I had requested but why nothing is showing to book still is beyond me. I have taken screen shots in case these also disappear...
